Rusty, it's 94 and a heat index of 100 degrees here at DFW Airport today....and it'll only get worse before sundown. I'm insanely jealous of your location right now!!! Enjoy and hope that BLT was good!!
I love seeing different areas of New Mexico, it helps me decide on where I want to live, what is the elevation there? Your new subscribers might have liked to see your BLT, I know I never get tired of seeing food, bcuz all BLTs are not the same, great drive, thanks 👍
Driven/ridden up that hwy many times in a variety of vehicles. Preferred the views as a passenger best. The railroad trestles are amazing. From the desert to the mountains...doesn't take long. Thanks for the ride...
@@rusty78609 hey Rusty, we’ve been to Ruidoso, Capitan and around there a lot over the years. However never have driven up to CloudCroft. Is it much difference in the temp from Ruidoso?
The town would do well to update their restrooms. Tucked in a tiny spot between a bank and the city offices. Look for the sign. Expect to wait your turn since only one toilet in each. Also, if you would have turned right at the library and gone past the church, you can park in the church parking lot on the right.
Hi, Rusty! I had the most terrifying time driving down the mountain from Cloudcroft. The brakes on my RV overheated and I had to pull off the highway. I am new to mountain driving & RVing so I had to phone a friend who graciously drove my rig down to Alamogordo using lower gears. I know what to do now, but I sure hope there’s not another scary and steep, mountain road in New Mexico.😅
The one thing that isn't true about your Video. You didn't start in Alamogordo. You started 2 miles out of Cloudcroft . I live in Alamogordo. Yes it is Beautiful, but could have been longer .

I love the way the terrain and trees change in that 20 mile drive up the Mountain. Population of Cloudcroft in 2020 was 828.
Nice drive tour and share.
Cute little town.
Enjoy your BLT one of my favorites
Thank you! Will do!
Those 20 miles make a big difference in scenery. I remember making that drive in a campervan years ago. It's beautiful!

Excellent.
Many thanks!
I liked NM except in winter at 8500', so I could not return the next winter to volunteer (on the way up the mountain to Pagosa Springs.

I like hearing about the gas prices. We are going on a road trip from seattle to Denver so I’m curious what we will find.
Audio was low on this one Rusty. Don’t know why
I can't hear you...
