When I camped spring a year ago a few days at Oliver Lee, because of your recommendation, I went to the Lowes and it was indeed a great grocery. The deli was something else. Thanks for the tip. 😊
Dad had a 1963 Impala with a 327 V8, three speed manual, that routinely got 22 MPG between OKC and Idabel, Oklahoma on the many trips we took to the Ouchitah Mountains of Oklahoma back then.
Well, it seems like you have a lot of hitchhikers riding with you on this trip, including me, Mr. Rusty. Thanks for the ride and the beautiful panoramic views of Highway 70. I enjoyed watching the video as always. Have a safe return back home.
At the hwy 82 and hwy 54 intersection you can see the rocket test track. Sometimes you can see the rocket sled firing at super sonic speed. Pretty amazing sight.
❤❤❤❤ I so enjoyed our ride and conversations as always my friend!!!! I always enjoy what you talk and do with us my friend!!! Thank you and yes I enjoyed the longer video!!!! Enjoy your day Rusty!!! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Beautiful ride indeed Rusty. I got lost first time I went to visit Cloudcroft from Ruidoso (im not from Ruidoso). I miss the left turn to Cloudcroft and went straight all the way down to Tularosa.😂
You can also go from Capitan to Carrizozo and head south on US 54 to Tularosa and Alamogordo. It's about 10 extra miles but you don't have to drive through Ruidoso.
You these COE parks are nice stay here for 14 days … this one is in Arkansas close to Ashdown Ar just 11 miles is a Walmart and lots other stores huge lake … and not a boat on it for past 4 days … the site is 12 with lots trees for shade cost is only $7.50 per night with my senior discount from the American the Beautiful card … electricity and water… hard to beat.. best thing is out the 22 sites there only two others here… across the lake is a state park of Arkansas their cost is $39.50 a night

I did the same thing @Classic Flyer many decades ago. I didn't get car sick that time because I was driving. So many winding roads.
Thank you Rusty for a beautiful drive. Very pretty seeing White Sands in the distance was really nice ride. 🙏🙏❤️✌️☕
Hey Rusty, population of Mescalero Rez. is 3156 according to Google. Reservation is 463,000 acres.
I had a 1966 Chevrolet Belair 283 cubic inches manual 3 speed it got good gas mileage and could keep up with the traffic.
That 283 was a good engine !
Yes. the views are great. I wouldn't mind living a top, of one of those hills. if there were a easy way up, and down it.
The guys below are right on with their comments. Thanks.
What a beautiful drive. Greatest respect for the Native Americans and their beliefs. We all have a lot to learn no matter how old we are. 😊❤
Absolutely.
Beautiful drive for sure. I do have some involvement with a Native American. My girlfriend is the Tribal Chair of the Jumano Nation of Texas.
