    17:52 I just hate it when people say "do whatever makes you happy!" By doing "whatever makes you happy", you are living a compulsive life rather than a conscious one. And at some point of your life, this will hit you down really hard! So instead of doing what makes you happy, do what is need the most at the moment. Be it your physical fitness, mental fitness, your career, your family, your friends circle, your love life, just have this mindset in all aspects of your life. For example, focus on what your mind and body NEED instead what they WANT. Sooner or later, this will definitely make you more happy than any compulsive choice you'd ever make in your life.

      exactly... if you want to succeed in life.. at some point you have to go beyond happiness or peace and do the hard work and follow the discipline which is required to reach the place you aspire for... i heard virat kohli say something like this in an interview...
      however much you love cricket, waking up everyday to the same strict fitness routine and forgetting all your favorite food, and sticking to your goal when everyone else is enjoying themselves will always not give you happiness... sometimes you have to sacrifice your momentary happiness to acheive broader things...every person is not always happy with what he does for a living that doesn't mean they are living a wrong life or doesn't love their job... its how it is....it's okk to be unhappy sometimes and you cannot always do what makes u happy...

    I have changed a lot due to Ranveer bhaiya - his mental fitness techniques like meditation positive outlook and solution oriented and also to work on your body and because of this I lost 10 kgs in about 1.5 months and this has really helped me a lot in my studies and in my daily life activities.....I actually feel a version of Bhaiya in me...…..

    Srishti Dixit , I feel what you feel.. And the fact that there's so much similarly in our way of thinking makes me happy that I'm not alone... The moment you said " I feel like therapy will help me and I do not know what it is , that is stopping me from going for it , like i've known this for the longest time in my life that I need to talk to someone about the way I feel and all the things I feel! " the moment you said this, I paused the video and played this again cause it's exactly How I feel!! It's been on my mind since this month.. Even my parents are supporting me , but I don't know what's stopping me from it!

    13:24 I agree with Srishti on this one. Solution focused strategies may or may not work, and if a person suffers from poor self esteem or self worth, personally I think its important for someone to be comfortable with the whole idea of failing or succeeding before they engage in problem solving. For eg. Youre trying out a new fitness regimen that doesnt go as it should have ie. maybe you didnt achieve the desired weight loss..if one's internal self talk system isnt comfortable with the idea of failing..then one could become demotivated af. Successful people dont dwell on positivity OR negativity..rather, they strike a balance within the positive-negative dimension. And are able to effectively harness these feelings. Its called defensive pessimism.

    • @beactivebehappy9894
      @beactivebehappy9894 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, if one is mentally first at peace with ownself then making appropriate changes would come easy. But if the person keeps panicking for not reaching the desired level/weight/shape/success, then it's difficult to keep your head straight towards changes and quite possible, even after making the changes, your head might keep shaking!!

    Stumbled on this video while searching for Shristi's comedy content but thoroughly enjoyed this deep conversation. I have always aspired to be as cool and confident she comes across on screen and getting to know her mental space was sort of reassuring for me, because that's where I am right now. Growing up in a small town where I was a "superstar" and getting smacked on my face when I moved to a big city and tried to make it on my own in a corporate world. People find me very successful but I have had a constant sense of self doubt and fear.
    I'd say hearing Ranveer's responses have answered a lot of things for me.Shristi's energy played off well to bring out his wisdom.
    I must admit I am guilty of having judged Ranveer for being super positive, I mean who can be so pepped up and happy all the time!!! Now I get where he draws his energy from and I aspire to get there, a sense of being aware and knowing that you are doing something right for someone in the world 🌎.
    Interesting podcast.. More power to you bro!! Shristi (and everyone in general) I think you are more loved and valued than you think you are 😊😊
    P.S : Completely agree on the ' Ghar ka Khana' - it so helps your mental health - from a major junkie 😁

      Buzzfeed always try to glorify a problem and thus they seem to be really negative people to the people outside. Loving oneself always doesn't help solving problems, one gotta change the way they think. These days, everybody is behind promoting LOVING YOURSELF. There are people who say things from different perspectives but it's us who will have to take the ones good for us, not all people say negative things. Even if they, an analysation power should be there within, which obviously comes from the positive minded and spiritual people.

      Self acceptance is one thing but not in the absence of acknowledgement that you have a problem. I'm 22 and BuzzFeed taught me that it's okay to be obese and I should eat whatever makes me feel happy and not acknowledge that my PCOS will only grow and damage my body. If anyone watches BuzzFeed religiously, you'll know what I'm talking about. Hence, its okay that you love yourself but then self improvement isn't a harm.

    Okay, Srishti is the OG mental health coach here. Ranveer just overlooks so many factors. He says that people need to have an aspirational mentality instead of the victim mentality - Dude. There would BE no mental health problem to people if they could actually CHOOSE how to feel. To some, it doesn't come inherently and thus the illness. I totally respect Ranveer's opinion as to how we need to solve problems instead of fixating on them. But isn't he overlooking that nobody wants to be in a bad state and yes, though not visibly, but people are fighting their demons in their thoughts. Imagine having all the capabilities and making steps to move ahead but all you end up doing is more harm to yourself? Things are not always crystal clear, but grey.
    Also, some of us don't have the privilege to have all the resources to solve our issue. Nor do we have the time to access the science behind it.
    Hence, accepting the problem and trying to feel okay about it is not an easy journey. Let's first acknowledge it and not judge people. And make them feel okay whether or not they have found their solutions. Motivate them by making them realize that they are worthy, capable, and lovely. They will make it in life.

    As a person who lost 18-19kgs of weight. I understand what Beerbiceps is talking about. Weight loss is more mental than physical. The physical aspect of losing fat and gaining muscles is easy. Trust me. ITS EASY. What is hard is the mental game. You must realise that when you decide to lose weight, you will become a complete different person. The person I was pre losing weight and what I am now are 2 complete different individuals. I changed my eat ng habits, my sleeping habits, and also the friends around me. Being overweight or obese isn't a good thing and you need to work on it but you don't need to hate yourself while at it. Self-love and acceptance actually helps be postive about the result and makes the World a better place.

    15:52 Problem solving :
    Both of you have given great points on problem solving like sit and analyse, but at the same time keep your mind busy with your duty i.e.( Be analytical at some level and at the same time be spontaneous).
    Amazing conversation 😊🌱

  • @surbhibhardwaj2787
    @surbhibhardwaj2787 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The way I see this whole discussion is that I agree to both, i just see both of them in different levels of acceptance of reality. To Ranveer, Srishti is advocating self love and her perspective is also correct because only once you love yourself enough, you would want to keep your body and mind happy and healthy because we should not forget that there are also people who are committing suicide becaue of body image issues that is because we haven't told them enough that only when you accept and love yourself " the way you are" , you would want to do the best for yourself and then change your body and mental health but if you don't accept you would not be able to make a change at all. In saying that it is okay for us to say that see, its fine for you to be the way you are even if you are obese and let the person accept and love themselves first and leave the process of finding a solution to them(self taught lessons are best learnt) and if we look at the things spiritually we are neither the body nor the mind but we are indebt of the Soil and the earth for the body and life, for the mind so might as well return it back to the Earth in its best self.

    Contrast is so much important to know what's good and bad, right and wrong. This podcast actually tells you what positivity is after listening to Ranveer. Basically, Shrishti had a problem for your solution, a question for every answer. But Ranveer my "BOY (ZNMD Wala)", you put more life into life.
