Thank you so much for your videos!! I feel like I'm touring the galleries with you. Please keep doing what you're doing its inspiring this artist stuck in a small town needing some inspiration. I watch your video first thing to get me in the right headspace...so immense gratitude to you and what you create x
Excellent video. I like how you show the entrances to these galleries, which are so often tucked away and somewhat disguised and sometimes difficult to find. I can’t tell you how many times I have wandered around even my own city looking for a gallery or the entrance to a supposed gallery in a street of derelict warehouses or a fancy upscale residential area without an inkling of ‘exhibition entrance’ in sight. I realize it’s intentional. Loving Mexico City galleries!!!
Great video (as always)! Many thanks for turning me onto the brilliance of Naufus Ramirez Figueroa and Andrew Holmquist. Wonderful mark making and insightful subject matter. A+ 👍
Karine.
Martine va faire son show a Mexico.
nice to see the general landscape. what a courtyard! your haircolor is holding my attention more than the facile wrapped paintings. nice promising music. ho,hum......
Yeah, I thought the plastic wrap bit was contrived, a cheap way to say “surrealist”. The paintings looked really dashed off in a hurry four days before the show without thought or imagination. Not criticizing “fast painting”. …. Just thinking that some of that guys other work looks immeasurably better, then falls off a cliff in a hurry when he stops using color and plugs in his formulaic rainbow over and over. When artists get predictable, I get bored….
I think sometimes people don't realize the stamina you need for a packed day like that. I would have needed a Guiness at the close. Enjoyable video as always.
So much great local Mexican art, Mexican galleries and many awesome Mexican artists was missed here. But hey, it’s Gidget goes to the galleries tourist thing I suppose.
Hi from Finland. Kirjoitan suomeksi jotta lukisit! Happy days To you! Artkarhu
Hi, really nice videos, I was wondering if you also buy original art sometimes. I have some Francisco Toledo small paintings, can send you pics and info.

Very nice video and enjoyable excursion. The art I find ugly, derivative, and generally low-effort stuff. Sorry, the avant-garde should not be a refuge for the talentless, but too often that's all it is. The art world cut it's own throat when it chose novelty over beauty. But beauty takes a lot of skill, talent, experience, and time.
Wow. I thought the LA artist who painted the vines all over the gallery in the beginning was talented, wonderful, loved it! And Boafo at the end, especially in that magnificent gallery, just took my breath away! All in all, excellent video, even if one didn’t care for all the painting applications. At least it was painting. And visiting the galleries in Mexico City was a TREAT.
Mexico and Mexico City are incredible!
Mexico is very nice, and they have nice art too.

enjoy your commentary too, esplicative, restrained, descriptive.

Not terribly inspiring work but the mosaics were very cool. The drinks and food look amazing. Your V-day outfit tres chic.😎
Holmquist experience with Berlin is so accurate.

Mexico City does not have a desert climate 😂
Hollywood stereotype. 🙄
#TOURISTGOHOME!
So different to New Zealand artists. Probably because we are cut off feeling here.
Sadly, these artists brought me no joy in this particular iteration.
That’s sad. I found a lot of them interesting.
