The Barrao assemblages are interesting; I wouldn't mind seeing more of his work. Nakamura @26:15 is good. Too much mid-to-late 1970's DeKooning (and by default, Cecily Brown) in Goodman's work.
Brunch at Manuela, my favorite place. Lennox nepo baby ptgs seemed contrived and student amateur, just the sort of stuff influencer “curators” love to gush over. The Goodmans were more muscular than Cecily Brown, but basically the same thing with more paint. Still, as a lover of painting, it beats seeing rooms full of old coats, cigarette butts and used tv monitors pretending to be installation art. Love your outfits! 🌫
A few artists to enjoy here: yes it's like there's almost joined up thinking about concerns and reflections on the environment. The works by Catherine Goodman are of the kind of fully conscious use of paint and mark making that float my boat though: stunning in that nice space. Special shots at take off and your own style is quite something 'today' : we expect it so it's a bit naughty of us really.
Big fan of Wanda Koop. She has gallery representation up here in Toronto so I get to see her work in person. Also enjoyed many of the other artists in this video, so, again thanks for posting.
Thank you for the fantastic tour....Koop Tong Lennox terrific... And then... Goodman who, so far, knocks it "outta 'da Park!" Dazzles the viewers with color and form and energy recalling without taking from Goodman a Pastiche of sorts of Helen Frankenthaler, Joan Mitchell, Pollock, de Kooning, Matisse! I Love L. A.! Keep safe on those Free Weighs! Meep Meep. P.S.I work in Pastel Acrylic Ink glue plants herbs etc and other multi media hope you don't mind me saying beats watching tv.. Your Tours really inspire. Again Thank Ewe!
Catherine Goodman is the best THNX fer getting my attn w thumbnail
❤❤❤
Patrick Wilson's works were my favourite on this one. Also, your commentary and voice work so well together!
As always, great video, very informative and entertaining. Keep them coming Mary. Thank you!
Patrick Wilson’s works is an off-shoot of Mondrian. By adding depth of highlight and shadow, he created a stack of empty dioramas.

The Nakamuras were the best. Beautiful palette and application of paint.
Lennox--romantic surrealism. Some others are probably better in person. Thanks for the tour.
Loved Patrick Wilson’s paintings…way better than Peter Halley’s paintings. Cheers-Greg

Thank you for the tour, I liked Wanda Koop and her paintings, reminds me of my own photography, following the sun and moon ❤
Glad you enjoyed it
Yet another really cool meditative stroll, punctuated with arresting visuals and hushed tones. Thank you, Mary Lynn!

Did you experience any sunshine....L.A feels very different these days.
Thank you so much for this great tour 🙏🏻💙
I so enjoy your videos, taking us to wonderful artists’ work from all over the world.
Your voice is supper calming... thank you for showing us around.
Cecil Brown is far more astute in her color palette than Catherine Goodman…though both is reminiscent of Joan Mitchell. 🙏🏼😊

The way of artistic expression now is to express art using something far from art
