Hey Charles, Absolutely a great way to start out.
Thank you! I just got back into collecting. Could you do a video about the main coin grading organizations. How to spot counterfeit coins. Etc
Great idea! I can do that. Welcome back to this great hobby.
Ready. Great topic.
Thank you. Just a few tips for people
Beginners need to be aware that pre~1965 dimes quarters and halves are 90% silver. 1.4 face value has one ounce of silver. Today silver SPOT price is $22.5 if you collect for silver value you have real money.
All good tips for the beginner collector. thanks for pointing them out
Dude, that grenade cup is hilarious!
Thanks for the good advice! After I finish my full set of state quarters I’m gonna focus on error coins. I have a proper display case for the state quarters which I was lucky enough to find on the side of the road on garbage day many years ago
State quarters are great to collect. Error coins will keep you busy for years. Thanks for watching today. Be sure to check out some of my recent videos

Great video Will! I get so many questions about “how do I get started?” And have done a few videos on it but have never mentioned the guide books/price guides

Growing up in the 70's, I regret all those quarters that went into the Space Invaders machine.
Space invaders and pac man. Boy did I feed those machines.
Subbed to you 👍🏻
Welcome to the channel.
@@willstreasures7986 Thanks for letting me in :)
I just want to check the change I get from the store. I want to know if I potentially have something worth even 1¢ more then face value. I don’t necessarily desire to “collect”. Any advice on a GOOD quick reference guide?
US coins redbook. The book in my thumbnail. You can get it on Amazon. It will give you all the info you’re looking for. Good luck and happy hunting
@@willstreasures7986 okay so I bought the book. But it still doesn’t tell me what to look for. It has a column for every year and for each location. I looked at 2023 and it states that a penny is worth .30¢.. so…. My thought process is: okay this 2023 penny with nothing fancy about it is worth .30¢! I’m cashing all 100 of my 2023 coins and I’ll get $30.00. 🤔
I know that this isn’t what will happen. I’m so confused. I’m wanting to EXACTLY what to look for!
Hey old-timer wants told me are. C. A. Rarity condition and availability
smart man. all 3 great qualities to look for in a coin
