    What I really like are those 5 ounce ATBs. Some of the earlier ones I bought for $115 dollars a piece. Keep me in your prayers because I haven't been doing well. I just got out of the hospital last Tuesday. Thanks for the video and keep the faith

    Those formulas are used for buying and selling based on spot price, which is normal. But for a barter situation with someone who may not be familiar with this method there's an easier way. $1.40 in constitutional silver equals 1 oz. silver, which most people will understand, and the spot price of silver is readily available to pretty much anyone. 😉

    Got great memories of 1986 silver Eagle. Was working in a bank at not even 21. Getting a roll here and there by the bank manager when they came in from customers. They were like new and got me into silver.

    Very interesting overview. The more I get into stacking, the more I am confronted with this question (and I have 10 ounce silver bars): shouldn't one be buying gold instead of silver at or above 10 ounces of silver? I'm beginning to think that I should stack Liberty dollars and fractional Liberty gold coins and, ultimately, gold Buffaloes.

    Im hoping to get at least a tube each month moving forward for the next 5 years so i get way more excited when the prices are lower. I lost focus and got some pretty high premium collectables but im getting back to focusing towards making Eagles and ten oz bars a serious part of my stack. Just for use case and liquidity, along with the tax freedoms that come with the eagles.

    I could care less about bars vs rounds. But 1 oz rounds normally have a lower premium than 1 oz bars. So, I buy rounds over bars. In fact, I've often been able to find better dealsbper ounce on 1 oz rounds vs 10 oz bars.

    Right at the beginning when you explain the way to know what the premium is over spot on a dollar face makes two equations necessary but if you instead use $1.40 face=1 ounce then once you know the spot price it is simple Simon to know what the premiums are.
    I think your entire point is to make the information more simple so it is easier to figure with 90% constitutional silver coins.

    As far as Sunshine bars go, they also make the 1 oz silver eagles so I would not call them generic. You totally missed out on libertads (a very desirable coin in the US). Stacking 5 oz bars is a good way to go also. I liked your video. I think it was educational.

    • @showpro1178
      @showpro1178 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I thought Sunshine Minting supplied the planchets, or "blanks" to the U.S. Mint, and the MINT made the Eagles. I could be wrong.

    • @fredwozniak2320
      @fredwozniak2320 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@showpro1178 You are right Sunshine Mint just makes the planchets. If it's good enough for the mint, I don't know why the silver would be considered generic. After all, they have a security device on their bars and rounds which, in my view, makes them exceptional.

    It was a vast wide variety of coverage on silver .
    I'm new to the silver game and thankful that I had crossed your channel and seen this viedo for newbies to the game.
    Cause there were a few moments when purchasing silver coin or round I felt kinda of taken advantage of do to premiums and they can change as well if your not up to game.
    Of the premiums.
    But it has definitely been a learning experience for myself and just like anything else in the learning of life it will cost you a little to learn .
    💯 appreciate you for the lesson here today.

    So why buy 90% silver when you can buy 100% silver for a few cents give or take? Are constitutional coins mostly bought for collectors looking to fill in their coin books? I'm new to this stacking thing. It seems like I'm a silver junkie and want to buy, buy, buy. But can only do it once a month and what I can afford to buy. I'm just looking to collect as much as I can get before, I croak for the family. And why is the premium so much of a difference between each type of coin and or bars or rounds?

    Great points. Here’s my New Year’s dilemma, this week there’s an online dealer sale going on for random quarter ounce gold coins for $540, I was debating on buying now or waiting until the first quarter to see If prices may be lower when Fed doesn’t raise interest rates and buying then. I know the price fluctuates when they increase the interest rate or decrease it, but what happens to Precious Metals prices if they don’t move the interest rate,how does that (non move) effect the price of pm’s?

    Got a local coin shop that charges more for the half dollar 90% silver than the quarters and dimes. And whithin the halves he charges more for the walkers, then less for the franklins and then less for the Kennedys. And then if he had barber halves im sure those would cost even more than all of them and so on. 😅

    Might use Venezuela or Argentina as an example. How does one live/exist is a hyper inflationary economy? I heard from one Venezuelan who managed to move up here that those with jewelry and metals “managed”. I presumed that managed meant exchanging through dealers for fiat to then buy necessities, but it seems a bit much to think that you would exchange it for fiat that would require a wheelbarrow to buy mere groceries. It’s not efficient.

  • @PeterSilvester

    Are you capable of buying 1000 kilos of gold?

  • @walterpaul9105
    @walterpaul9105 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Constitutional Math. I find it easier to start with the approximation (allowing for wear) that $1.40 of constitutional equals 1 troy ounce of silver. If the LCS quote is 19x face then do 1.40 x $19; Take 10% and double twice ((2)(2)(10%) = .40) gives $1.90 --> $3.80 --> $7.60 add to the 1.00 x $19 = $19.00 + $7.60 = $26.60. So if spot is $23.30 your premium is $26.60 - $23.30 or $2.30.

    I would never recommend bars or rounds as an investment vehicle. When silver goes up the demand is for silver eagles increases because they are real money and have name recognition. Bars and rounds need verification from a buying dealer. Granted silver eagles are faked but contrary to your opinion there I get more money for eagles and maples when I sell them to dealers and coin shops. Fact are in evidence to that.
