Since so many of you have commented, just a quick note about the flags being flown aboard Crazy Love in this video. It is common courtesy (and in many countries it is the law) that you fly the flag of the country you are sailing in. It is simply an acknowledgement that you recognize whose territorial waters you are in. You may also fly the flag of your home port country, and can also add the flag of your home state or province. If you're "curious" and want more info on how to properly display the flags, do a quick internet search on "flag etiquette for yachts" for all sorts of fascinating info. Curious Minion
As much as I enjoy these videos, they’re creating an itch I can never scratch. I enjoy solitude, I’m wishing I could leave modern society behind more and more, and I’m totally broke. You’re videos to offer me an escape and that’ll have to be enough, as always thank you for another video!
Sell everything you own and find a boat to learn from....im renting my home and selling 80% and going to Australia for a year as a solo motorcycle tour... but the boats keep calling my name ...😂
Omg LOVE this.. and as a 14 year Collegiate Head Coach..oh YES every parent told me how their Child is the greatest and best ever know to man...cheers to you
You can totally do it. I was looking for crew just a couple weeks ago. Find a boat, be crew, learn how to fix boats, which is an essential skill to owning one. Get paid to do it for awhile, even crew for free... get out there. There are a lot of boats that are effectively free-- if you do the labor. But you need the skills.
Absolutely loved Sandy Bottoms’ report! Definitely hope we get to see more of her reporting on perhaps things like high tides ruining sand castles, sea weed clogging anchor chains and perhaps even sudden 20 knot squalls. So much for her to cover.
We’ve been following you for the last 12 months and really enjoy your storytelling skills, photography and sense of adventure. But it was a “sailing channel” without a boat! So…we went back and started at the beginning. We shared your excitement when you bought curiosity, we got nervous with you when you took your first solo journey and left the marina, we groaned with Jason when he crawled into cupboards and bit our nails when Nicky was hanging on the halyard, we felt your pain during lockdown and felt your joy when you met new friends and had new experiences. It took me longer than it should have to realise that this wasn’t a sailing channel after all. It was the story on how you live your life and maybe a suggestion on how others could live theirs. With grit, determination, a smile and, of course, with curiosity. We finally caught up this week and are now excited to join you both in this new chapter.
Did you ever think you'd be sailing on a brand new multi million dollar boat with the builder at the helm?!? Seriously love where your life choices have taken you both. Thanks for sharing the experience! ❤
as a german, i cant simply buy this boat, HH and 88 are both somewhat hidden synonyms for "Heil Hit*ler" wich is forbidden since '45 and are widely used by neo-n*zi groups. However good the boat is, it will probably never find a market in europe due to ppl not wanting to be labeled as na*is
The sea trials were so cool to see. In the US Navy, I was on a fast attack submarine and coming out of shipyard, we also had to do sea trials which included the full speed to full reverse maneuver shown in this video. We called it a "crash back." As you can imagine, it was much more violent than on the HH88. :)
I LOVED WATCHING THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THIS " CRASH BACK" THROTTLE ACTION😍 THOSE MOTORS GOT YOU GUYS ZIPPING AROUND IN THAT 88 CAT LIKE ITS NO ONES BUSINESS 😂😂 LETS REALLY WORK THE ENGINEERS AND GET THIS MANUVER MASTERED ON ONE OF THOSE HYDROPLANE VESSELS 😂 THAT WOULD DEFINITELY REDEFINE THE U.S. NAVY'S MEANING OF THE WORD ' VIOLENT' THOSE ENGINES ON THOSE HYDROPLANE VESSELS NOW THAT WILL MOVE CAT QUITE NICELY WHEN THE WIND ISN'T WORKING THAT WELL, AND YOU WANNA MOVE😂😂😂😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
Amazing boat! I know we joke a bit about the electrical engineer having to work _so hard_ staying on the boat, but honestly that's actually an attention to detail that I appreciate. With a project like this there is truly no doubt in my mind that he's getting things better than they would be if it was just a normal 9-5 for him. Really cool project and really seems like a great group of people making it happen.
Loved this episode. I've been following Sean's channel, which has been terrific for learning about design, contracting, specs, and so forth, but he's been very reticent to talk about himself. Great stuff.
Secret: wasn’t looking forward to this video as I have been watching the build and it wasn’t reverting. The way you have put this together, the boat has come alive. Incredible 10 knots, the space, the galley and Paul on the helm with a smile that never leaves his face.
I am still in awe of the immense size of this vessel. It is huge and that is an understatement. The fact thought, that you have a live aboard Captain to help manage it Sean says a lot about you as a person. If I was in your position financially, I would want to have a Captain that is highly recommended, has verifiable work history and does gel well with you and Jamie. I haven't heard anything that suggests kids are around right now. I think, regardless about what the kids think or say about their experience on a boat, they might not want to be there and maybe resent being there. Missing out on they typical teen functions like: a homecoming dance, senior dance, and picking out a College does impact their young lives. I will continue to follow this channel. That is one massive boat and all the tech that is integrated into it makes my head want to explode!
When human beings possess passion, expertise, and love, they can go on to produce wonderful things, whether that be a great cathedral, or in this case a cutting edge sea going vessel. It was a pleasure and a privilege just to witness it. Thank you.
What a gorgeous boat, inside and out! (Loved the decor.) But when you see her under sail from a distance via the drone shots, she is so beautifully proportioned that you don't think about her size at all. So glad you had the opportunity to sail on her and share her with us. That has to be the smoothest 10 knots I've ever seen! Thanks also to the owner for the invite. He reminded me (mannerisms and speech patterns) irresistibly of a second cousin of mine. 🙂 Hope he and his wife find the reality of living aboard to exceed their dreams and expectations.
That is absolutely gorgeous! Wow! Thanks to you and everyone else for the fantastic ride along and question answering throughout! What a fantastic group of people coming together to make that happen!
Thank you for the introduction to this amazing yacht. So big, so comfortable, so complex! I hope Sean carries a highly competent multi-skilled electrician/plumber/mechanic/trouble-shooter in the crew.
That was the best advert for surf shark ever, award worthy. That yacht is simple breathtaking. Thanks so much to crazy love for sharing it all with us.😊
Oh how the other half live ... I wish Sean & Jamie the very best with their new boat and maybe some day we'll see it sailing up the Shannon ... Stay Safe & Fair Winds!! ☘
Wow, Nikki, That brief interview with Paul was one of the craziest things I've ever seen! This is because Sean's boat is one of the craziest catamarans ever built. That being said, the joy expressed by Paul gives us a good indication that Morrelli & Melvin nailed the design and HH nailed the execution - the build. As a charter boat, there is probably nothing on the market that even comes close. Sean could have named the boat "Apollo" cause that thing is a rocket to the moon. I hope you and Jason have Nick and Terysa come and crew for you during your four day shakedown cruise!
I really love that the decision was made to make the crew areas just as beautiful as the rest of the boat. Nothing better tahn a comfortable, happy crew. Threat them well, and they will treat you and the boat well.
Lol the Sandy Bottoms “news” segment :) This Catamaran is a beauty. Nice to hear owners back story too. Soon you’ll be on your own HH sailing Cat and let your sea trials begin. Cheers.
I am so glad you put this one out. When I saw this monster in the last video, I was hoping you would get a chance to show this beast. Such a neat family that had this boat built. I did get to see some of their videos last week and look forward to finishing them soon. What a great story.
88ft is mind boggling. Jason & Nikki, great job showing this sailing wonder. So this boat will always have a crew. This is not a 2 person sailing vessel? So what is the final cost of this vessel? With all of those extras, custom design tables, walls, espresso makers, and that kitchen😮. Can't forget the Hot tub😅. After seeing this, the Wynns 44 will look like a....hobbit boat where Jason is begging for a dishwasher. Amazing ingenuity of man. Blessings🎉
More thoughts. The only thing I see missing, especially since the owner was in food service... Fresh vegetables & fruit grow wall where they can pick items to prepare. The other question is... How does a boat that size surf large waves with that hot tub? They just don't sail in those forecast? Crazy🙃
I came across Sean’s channel after you announced your build with HH. I will have to say it was a very informative series, taking you through the entire five year process. It is amazing to think that this was first envisioned as a 77 footer. Looking forward to seeing yours launched!
We all understand, this is your livelihood, but I have to say, NO ONE puts as much effort in making your ad reads seamless, non-repetitive, and or entertaining. It's not lost on us, thanks!!
Unbelievable! I just can't imagine chartering a boat of this size Without a trained crew to keep her safe and under control(also to protect the owners investment)! Thank you for giving us this view of how the "other half lives" in the boating world! So looking forward to you new HH delivery!
So many impressive experts on this boat including Paul H. who is conceptually quite advanced when talking about sailboats. Jason's videography is excellent including under the hull to see the bridge deck clearance. Cheers!
Must have been thrilling for you two to be aboard during her sea trails. How cool was that. Enjoy your videos, looking forward to when you collect your own boat
40 TERABYTES!! That seriously blows my wind. Gorgeous boat. Wouldn't mind taking a ride on that beautiful girl. That is a MASSIVE winch, and I can see 4 of them. I assume there are at least 6-8 more winches that size. I would guesstimate that the winches alone on that beautiful girl cost more than Curiosity.
Wow! What a massive boat. Cool video of you featuring it. But the name of the boat type is the reason why you will never be able to register it in germany.
One heck of a boat , I’m so glad to see the ‘fly bridge’ is ergonomically set up for sailing and helming the yacht as opposed to a party platform( even though the hot tub is right there! ) Thanks for the experience! Cheers Warren
Holy moly! I would say that borders on being a ship, rather than a boat. I guess in my RV brain, that would be equivalent to being in the largest Prevost or Newell, all-decked-out, motorhome and then add another level. Just makes me look forward to your boat even more.
The full speed and stop maneuver; I served in the 90's on the USS Lake Champlain CG-57. It is 567 feet long and 9200 tons. It would do that maneuver going over 30 knots and then coming to a stop before it went another boat length. It was jarring and shook like crazy.
Good job Sandy Bottoms! Looking forward to see whats on "SEA CHANNEL" next week. WHAT A BOAT! Please ask the owner if he's going to have a map drawn up for guess? You could get lost on it that's forsure. Have a wonderful day & God bless, Chris from Missouri
This super cat was absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for this video. It was absolutely mind-boggling. As for Sandy Bottom. That was absolutely brilliant! I don’t know who wrote the script, but it was fantastic and well executed. Thank you Nickie and Jason. 🤟🏻💜😎⛵️🐬🇺🇸
Seems like you could design one of these with a power generating hydro system incorporated into the hulls. Spinning small turbines as you move. As someone who used to sail small Cats what really impresses me is the incredible amount of stuff that's going to breakdown!
Great walkthrough this catamaran and a privilege for the owner to have allowed it. Definitely many weird choices but that’s what custom boats are for 😅
A couple of weeks ago I questioned the wiring chaos shown in the video of your boat. After seeing the open cabinet behind the systems engineer, I understand HH better!!!
Massive boat, looks very functional and efficient. Would be a nice charter boat. My only reservation is the very square look, probably could be softened a bit for private use.
What is the size of batteries and the size of motors on the 88? I am trying to understand why batteries got down to 3% on a cruise that could have probably used regen under sail to lift the levels that the solar panels couldn't.

So, will the new owner have a full time crew on his floating apartment?
There is a scam-Spammer please Block that perp😎 in the comments, have Rapported and blocked that scammer impersonating you guys💯😎
They interviewed the guy who'll be the Captain, so yup. You're lucky there wasn't a quiz this week! 😉

Sandy Bottoms was hysterical. Love it too.

An amazing boat and lovely gentleman. Wishing him and his wife fair winds and following seas. PS. Love the dishwasher 😅
Omg I wish you’d look at the drone when landing not at the screen ! Maybe you have a good reason…
😮 cool videos 😊
Looking at the screen gives her the "drone eye view" and may be easier to do on a moving boat.
