I'm glad you did the follow up. So many people say they'll give a follow up after theyve put tools / other items through the rounds.
I just watched your first video and was really hoping your dad followed up on the "gonna take them to the job site" promise he made in the first video. Thanks for following through!

I just bought this combo for $169 for diy ,such a good deal I feel like I practically stole it , just wish that there was an orbital sander in that kit. Great review 👌🏾 your review really makes me feel good about my purchase

Great video, much appreciate you sharing your experience. Was just watching workshop addict and he was showing how the Ryobi brushless HP lineup is a dumpster fire. He smoked 2 saws. What's sad is they market the HP brushless for contractors while the brushed models out live them.

First gen is never as good though. It's a shame, but give it time and they should improve over time.

Yeah well If you treat a 150$ tool like a 300$ tool that has been proven for like a decade shits gonna break

Thanks fellas. Appreciate the down home common sense on this video. Look. I would LOVE a makita brushless set but really have a hard time justifying the money. I’m probably gonna hop on ryobi or ridgid. Thanks.

I have a lot of brushed and brushless motor power tools… they’re all about the same on the job… comparing them together you’ll see a difference but most workers could care less since they’ll find a way to abuse their power tools anyhow 🗿
That said, take care of your tools and only abuse them every so often guys… that’s the secret for them lasting the 3yr avg lifespan for most workers 🤫

The whole Milwaukee DeWalt thing seems to be more about showing off and fan boying over certain brands than anything else a hell of a lot of times but as the old man said for 200 bucks you can't go wrong if you get 2 years work out of them

It's been a year since this video. Are they still working well?

I've now killed 2 brushed reciprocating saws, terrible design. Motor gets roasting and melts off the plastic cooling fan, no overheat protection just goes until smoke is belching out. Also some 5ah batteries I got 6 months ago, self discharge at an incredible rate. Still have the Blue Ryobi circular saw, and goes well after all these years.

A contractor used those for 6 months. Hard to believe they look brand new
