Shilloi Lake is located in Lutsam village of Phokhungri area under Meluri sub division, in Phek district, Nagaland. It is the largest natural lake in the State. About 290 km from the capital town of Kohima it takes about 10-12 hours by road (from the capital, Kohima).
Watching hilly tales is my new favorite hobby❤ it gives the vibe of our grandparents who are no more with us but who narrated different stories during our childhood❤

Its actually called "shallow" Lake by foreign divers, but due to its Mispronouciation by the locals it was called shilloi lake, Nicely presented, actually it has the footprint , symboling that the devil stump upon it, its also said that devils from south and east assemble to fight each other and that the local could hear the slicing and echoing of the sword,
It's not a case of mispronounciation. As per their souvenir, shilloi is derived from the word shillo which means stagnant or still water. And lutsam means guarded or protected
As you have shown in the video......How did u know that the goddess come from. ... Myanmar......coz I don't see the goddess telling about this to villager... Some of your video is same as this..... incomplete....
Maybe Myth but I believe every tribals in NE have one river where it takes 2/4 lives every year and that too only males, we have one here in Lamka, Manipur too, where every year we have like 4 deaths and after that there is hardly any drowning after.
The story and the clip isn't the same with the story delivered by our Village chief ... I suggest hilly clan channel to please confirm and post for the world.

I heard shilloi lake was in the shape of a creature footprint

Nicely presented, actually it has the footprint , symboling that the devil stump upon it, its also said that devils from south and east assemble to fight each other and that the local could hear the slicing and echoing of the sword,
O! Thank you for that information we had to use exactly what was written in the book 😅
@@blackberryblackberry7033 is the other name of the shilloi lake "lacham"?
