Are people seriously complaining about the stands underneath the dinosaurs? The tech involved in this production is astounding! You have to be there to appreciate it, because you soon forget about the legs or the stands and become invested in the show and how convincing the animatronics actually are. It was a spectacle i remember fondly from when i saw this several years ago. Recommend it to all dinosaur enthusiasts.
The people complaining of the stands and the legs are just those who have completely lost any semblence of immagination. They are only fueled by criticism and trolling at this point. Such people will never wonder or look or question the world in a positive light
i saw this when i was young and it was so amazing. the sounds were so crisp, the movements were flawless. it was like you were there, in jurassic times watching them reenact what they wouldve done years ago
I love how they made us believe that the giant T-Rex would come out, isntead it was just a baby. This was amazing when I was a kid. I actualy went to this event when it came in my country latvia and it was a great experiance. I loved the documentary of Walking With Dinosaurs on TV and I was obssest with dinosaurs and I kind of still am to be honest. There is just something awesome about them that makes me appreciate them, I still remembered how the audiance cheered when the T-Rex showed up. :D I liked how the dinosaurs felt like they were actualy there. And the animatronics they used for each dinosaur is just perfection. Sure the raptors and the baby rex were obviously people in costumes and the animatronics had wheels on them, but back then this was really impressive. And I still believe it is still to this day. :)

I saw this in Glasgow when it first toured there. It was mind blowing just to see the size of these Dinosaurs in real life. The T-Rex and all were awesome. Absolutely loved it :D
This looks awesome! I love how the dinosaurs really move and behave as if they weigh the thousands of pounds they're supposed to weigh! the raptors are so creepy, I love it! And to everybody who's complaining about the lack of epic fights I think you're looking in the wrong place. This is supposed to show us, as best as we can, what dinosaurs were like. and while using each other as food was real, there are far more dynamic and awesome interactions that they had with one another and their environs. Video games and movies are great because they focus on such moments and make them appear to be the only/major moments of sentient life forms. Especially those of the "terrible lizard." anywayyyyy if there was such a fight between two or more of these colossal creatures before you, you know you'd turn around and get the hell out of there as fast as you can. watching a "safe" dinosaur fight is boring. but watching this show has not been. its not trying to be macho or dangerous. its just appealing to peoples imaginations and their love of science. but I KNOW, I KNOWWWWWW that there definitely would be some lovers of science and nature who would try to capture, for all the world to see, a fight between two of these dinosaurs.
Dinosaur performances keeps getting more realistic each year. Someday, they can operate without those platforms and just walk freely around the attractions. (Not costumes)
Honestly, my dream is a dinosaur "zoo", which operates just like a zoo full of living creatures, except it's full of hyper-advanced animatronics that can roam freely around their enclosures, and instead of zookeepers, you have a small army of performers puppetteering them in a day-long improv performance. Or, hey, you have AI control them on autopilot with the keeper-puppeteers supervising and able to take over on manual mode for a bit of fun if the inspiration strikes. Bit of a problem for the ones that are still best controlled by people in suits, but we'll get there, I'm sure.

The movement of the large dinosaurs is really impressive, I really believe that this would be a great alternative to the animatronics in the Jurassic Park movies, or any movie involving dinosaurs, because they can actually walk and are much lighter, they would be able to do so many more scenes without CGI. Imagine this but with the budget for a movie, and the ability to perfect the movements since it's not live. They would just need to find a way to hide the stands or possibly digitally remove it.
The day I was going to this show, I tripped over some cobbles in the road, and banged my head really bad.So I had to sit through the whole show with an ice pack on my head😭
I've seen this show twice and will go again when it comes back. It's stunningly beautiful. The creativity and ingenuity are astonishing. Also a very beautiful musical score.
just so we are all clear , this is NOT THE FULL SHOW so yes there are probably loads of bits that i have missed out. There isn't really ant point commenting and saying that, this video is only to give you an idea of the show and I'm afraid you will have to go and see it live if you want the whole thing and it is much better live than on video anyway.

@@brianorozco1074 Actually the Jurassic World live tour was made with the same animatronic company by Walking With Dinosaurs. But the animatronics were puppeteered too fast because of the faster pace of Jurassic World Dinosaur's. Which made them harder to realistically control and move.
I remember going to this place in 2014 and was amazed by all the talent that this place had in them and I always go to this specific walking with dinosaurs show because it reminded me of my love of dinosaurs
Went and saw the show yesterday with my sister. It was her 30th birthday gift for me and a real childhood dream come true. We had front seats and when the dinosaurs stuck their heads out we could almost touch them. Truly impressive show and I recommend it 100%!
Man, some people are so hard to please! First off, I think this is originally for kids, or at least supposed to be kids-friendly so if there was a very huge dinosaur fight, it might be a little too scary for the younger kids especially. And second, I'd think it takes a lot to make the dinosaurs that big as it is! It's not going to be perfect. But this is just my own opinion. I think it looks interesting.
It was when I was younger I loved dinosaurs so much. My dad purchased me and him tickets to see it. We where in a nice seat place. And the first raptor came out I was so scared and extreamly I was begging my dad to take me home but we stayed. I don't regret watching the show it was awesome.
put these in a movie, just digitally remove the little cars on the bottom, as well as the guys legs, blend this with some CGI for more complex actions, and boom, the perfect special effects, it would make jurassic park look like an Ed wood movie.
This is kinda what they did for jurrasic park. They used mostly animatronics for the dinosaurs, that's why it gives it a more realistic feel. Pretty awesome if you ask me ! :)
That is true, but JP had certain shots where the Dinos were 100% CGI, and there are ONE or TWO tiny instances where the CGI shows it's age, but you do have to look closely, the CG DOES still look amazing to this day, no question about that, but what I'm saying is that mainly put THESE guys in shots and use CG to enhance parts of their bodies that might look too mechanical, but still have most of it be animatronic.
I was a teen when I saw this. It was an absolute amazing show. I saw something that looked similar advertised nearby only to discover it was nothing like this live show and was so disappointed. I wish they would revive this and tour again. I would absolutely jump at the chance to take my son to see this.

Yes! I came here after seeing the movement of the Rex in the Jurassic World show. I thought to myself.. didnt the Walking with Dinosaurs Rex move in a smoother fashion? Indeed he did. Not sure why Jurassic World downgraded so obviously??
This is amazing!! I love the tension on the tendons of extensor digitorum profundis and superficial with each foot step. The walk cycles look great!! This is not a criticism; but I would love to see the tendon of gastrocnemius and soleus really taught. Some springy latex stretching and contracting would emphasize the weight even more. I'd love to see this show!!!

I remember watching this as a kid, I've still got the toy from it. It's an orange t-rex or raptor with white spots and a blue mouth. I called it 'Baby T-rex' for some reason.
I went to see this as a kid, and I was so amazed by the movements and size of it all. I was so confused as to how this couldn't be real. As a kid who loved dinosaurs, this was an unforgettable spectacle.
I was there sat opposite you, wow what a show and worth every penny, all be it about £500 by the time we'd brought all the bits and bobs the kids wanted but that's what we chose to spend our holiday money on and didn't regret it one little bit 😊
Tigerguy 101 Yes, these were remotely controlled in some parts but the rest was all staff manning inside the mascots and the large dinosaurs. During the show, it was meant to make it look real for the kids.

I cant wait until animatronics are advanced enough to walk and jump. Combined with human creativity and imagination its going to make these shows so amazing and fascinating.

They should really consider bringing this back using modern science, imagine how amazing seeing a group of dakotaraptors hunting a pachy would be livbe!

I saw this in Atlanta because I was obsessed with Dinosaurs as a kid. Land before time was my shit. And this was the best thing I ever saw. I went to the one in Atlanta.
