    Nice to see a major manufacturer go after the single seat market again. It will be interesting to see how it sells.

    As someone noted, if he were disabled then he consider this ride. Well, I am disabled, so I can't sit on top of most quads and go for longer than 10 minutes. With the ace I don't have to worry about my balance problems, I've been able to put in some extra padding for better lumbar and back support, and I still have enough power to ride most (85%) of the trails here in Utah. I've used for an overnighter already on some southern trails and can't wait to hit the Paiute Trail this summer. Of course, I'm no loner 25 and invincible, so having a solo-car type ORV with 32HP works perfect for me. For someone who wants to do outrageous jumps and such -- assuming you're a skilled driver -- then spend twice the money for a bigger motor in the RZR lineup, or jump on a ARTICAT 1000cc WILDCAT hang go crazy. I'm perfectly happy with this little single seated, so much so that my wife has one as well. Much more fun chasing each other around than having to ride shotgun in a side by side.

    Got mine an year ago, about 100 hours of driving and its still fun, just little cold in winter. Accessory is really expensive considering the price of ACE.

    32 horsepower in a vehicle that would be over 1000 lbs with a rider in it!
    Wow, sounds fun.

    I may be good at driving a normal atv but I just like the ace because of its design the one problem the razor has is if you put it in park on an incline the transmission would lock up and get ruined unless they fixed that problem a sxs is way out of my price range and some atvs are out of my range but I like the ace because it's an atv that feels like a one seater sxs and it would be more comfortable on long rides and it does good work and I've got to teach my mom how to drive it when she needs to use it for work around the house when I can't and considering it's good for beginners as well as people like me it fits hopefully they fixed the problem the razor had with the transmission

    one of the main things i enjoy about the rzr 900 or 1000, is the great acceleration, and i particularly love powering into turns with over/understeer, depending on the situation and adjusting accordingly. these new 1000s have over 100 hp. I feel like with only 32 i wont be able to do that. Am i wrong? and also, does the narrow looking wheelbase make it dangerous/easy to flip?

      @guyoverland34 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True Carlos. This is not for you. It is not a sport Quad. it will not do 70 or 80 mph. It is intended for tail riding.

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ***** Its fast enough to have fun, but it does not compare to the 900 or 1000 in engine performance. Stability wise, a mindful driver could keep it on all four wheels, but if you push int hard, you can tip it over like any other machine. Comparatively, it isn't as stable as an old Honda 400 Pilot or RZR 900, Without doing a head to head comparison, its stability is more on par with a 50 inch wide RZR.

    Um, what about when going up a steep incline, does the cockpit-like design make it unsafe in case of overturning, opposed to a regular ATV where you can lean forward to prevent overturning?

    I went and looked at these yesterday and found 3 problems. First is the lack of leg room. I'm 6'2" and my guess is that anyone over 6" would find this cramped. Second if it doesn't have engine braking, so on steep descents you have nothing except your brakes to work with. And third, and not nearly as important, is it doesn't have power steering. My sportsman 850 solves all 3 of these issues, so I think I'll stick with my 850 for now.

    • @guyoverland34
      @guyoverland34 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I to am 6' 2", tight but not a problem. As far as EBS. I didn't have that on my earlier units. and as for EPS. the first year the 850 came out it did not have it. For it's price, it is a great value. I do wish it had a little more leg room. Remember that this new engine in the 300 c.c. has more hosrepower than a 500 H.O. It is not a speed wagon, but a fun ride.

    Writing from Australia where Government pressure is strong to legislate for mandatory roll cages etc on ATVs due to the large number of deaths each year from ATV accidents, especially on Australian farms.
    We purchased a Sportsman Ace. Both my 70 yo mother and I enjoyed its utility value on our farm for a few months and I agree with many of the review points on this video. Unfortunately my 48yo brother rolled it today after overcorrecting a loss of rear traction on flat ground. This was not a high speed manoeuvre. The internet contains plenty of reports on the danger of rolling these vehicles especially during 's' turns but perhaps my brother was not informed of this danger.
    I did not witness the accident but other witnesses informed me that the ATV caught fire at the front of the vehicle almost immediately. My brother seriously injured his head (no helmet) and torso but managed to turn the engine off and exit the ATV. Still, the fire spread quickly, perhaps due to half fuel load explosion and high % of plastics - it engulfed the vehicle in a matter of minutes. If knocked unconscious my brother could have been killed in the fire. Ambulance and fire crews attended but the vehicle is nothing more than molten plastic and charred metal. My brother is still in hospital with head and upper body injuries. A lucky escape.
    Buyer beware: these are not toys and some form of experience and common sense is needed to avoid serious injury or death. ATV crashes cause over 50% of all farm deaths in Australia each year. Despite it's rollover cage, I'm sure that the Sportsman Ace will contribute to these statistics in future.

    Hola soy de México, y en lo personal pienso que es una muy buena idea pero es un chasis muy pequeño para traer el motor atrás, por eso en varias ocasiones y se ve muy bien en el video el Sportsman Ace se levanta mucho de la parte de enfrente por que tiene mucho peso atrás.

    Is the length of the ace the same as the sportsman 4wheeler or is the ace alittle longer? Im thinking of getting one but I dont want to look like I was shoved between the wheels too much. Also will there be suspension components available at some point to raise and get a few more inches out of the width? But then again... 32hp may not be enough to turn big meat tires. hmmmm...

    • @jamesgrooms8046
      @jamesgrooms8046 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also if polaris makes a bigger engine one, I would lower this base 32hp ones price a bit and keep the $7499 price tag for the better one. Im starting to think if I get one my fun factor on it will be like my friend on DirtTraxTv says "Its like sky diving with out a parachute, Its fun at first but ends badly" due to the mear 32hp. Im an older guy in the 40s looking for something safe but yet I dont want to be putting along to be blown by my son on his little 60cc bike.

      Update, I wound up buying the Polaris sportsman 570 with EPS. Im just going to trade that in after awhile and get what I really want a "RZR 800". :D

    I am more a fan of the Honda Pilot.
    I say give it a good 4 stroke engine, maybe a two cylinder, to make it modern, OR keep a single cylinder but ditch the CVT for a dual clutch.
    I personally think the ACE is a bit top heavy (subjective), but overall a good design.

    If i where handicapped in a way that would prevent me from using a set of handlebars or simply wanted an ATV with a roll cage, Id go for this. Completly novel and innovative idea from Polaris "Industry First". But in my opinion, simply a toy.
    Impressive towing capacity for a Mid sized engine, but the sheer size of the ATV renders full capability of that 1500lbs quite useless. Nice lines for the body work, with a good little open storage spot in the back like n RZR.
    Good idea, and they said it in this video several times "Looking to buy for wife", "Entry Level", "Beginner rider" Thats what this is aimed for. Im sure in time a 850/1000 may come out with a slightly wider and longer wheelbase, but again there are too many options and models already in Polaris' lineup to justify creating a big bore, single seat machine. They already have those, the only difference being the throttle is next to your thumb.

    • @guyoverland34
      @guyoverland34 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, but they are all TOYS. I do like the idea. It will evolve. They went from 3 wheels to 4 wheel. They went from a 100 cc to 1100 cc. They went from a saddle type to side by sides. They went from work to play. They will probably change.

      Not pointless. Some people have wives or such that don't ride because they don't have the confidence or there just plain out scared of riding. The cab kinda helps on that note and inspires rider confidence while having just as much fun as you would on a regular quad.
