What a great little atv. I got injuried some years back. I can no longer go hunting, fishing, hiking, or just enjoying the great outdoors. Although the ACE can't give me back what I've lost. At least it could get me back outdoors again. Something that I truly miss.
I bought the 570 three weeks ago and I've beat it, jumped it, rolled it (on purpose), over loaded it, and dragged 50' trees out of the woods with it. Nothing broke and just some scratched paint is all. The Ace is gonna earn every penny I spent on it.
How easy did it roll over. I'm thinking about buying a 570, but was thinking that in corners you can shift your body weight like you can on a sportsman 570, this making this ride tippy???
I just bought an Ace 570, traded in my BMW that had become uncomfortable to ride due to some poorly placed scar tissue. Ease of getting in and out were the selling points. Might not work for everyone but works for me and they seem to be selling well.
i got to take one of these out for a spin a few weeks ago, was a great time!!! No doubt I love my 800 RZR, but this is great for fun and a blast to go in the trail.
I really like it for what it is! Obviously over time I think we will see it progress as long as sales are decent. Bigger motor, dual a-arm, better suspension, basically mold it into whatever a customer could want. Thats the Polaris way of doing things!!
chasing my kid in the ace on my grizzly 550 on the trail it was everything I could do to stay with him bought it for my wife she loves it i was totally impressed with what this machine can do
This fits the nitch for a new rider who wants to feel safe, but still wants plenty of power. Or dads who want their sons on the trail with them, but want them to be safe as well
I needed to get more info about ace 570..as a future owner a wouldn t buy something that isn t what i need, mud and speed is not really what i need...i now think ACE is exactly what i need...thank for your video i appreciate👍
that rather kills the point of it doesnt it? bigger engine and more suspension travel would make it bigger and larger...making it any bigger then it already is, makes it as big as a razor, which has a bigger engine and seats for 2...so if they made that, people would wonder why getting this istead a razor! and the Ace would be pointless...or do you really think that such a brand as Polaris didnt know that everyone would say what u did?! they are not stupid, they know what they do..
First of all relax its my opinion and I think a one person vehicle with all the power of a rzr and suspension of a rzr would be perfect. I would rather ride by myself then have a passenger there for whats the purpose of a 2 seated rzr to me?
i am relaxed, i was just stating the obvious...the purpose? well, versatility for a start..it doesnt really matter if you ride alone or not (i also rather ride alone), i just believe that if the thing is already large enough for 2, then why not? its not like you are "loosing" anything with an extra seat there..its more like, for that situation that you didnt expect, where for example you are ridding around in your 2 seater and then hey! look! that girls polaris has broken down! get in girl i got your back) see, now you automatically agree with me XD just kidding.. ;)
I really liked your video it was very professional and entertaining. I liked how you addressed all the specs, and gave all your opinions about it. Great video!
Maybe this is trying to bring back the Honda Odyssey's and Pilot's era? Because those were awesome and before this there was no option to own something like that except getting one used.
I have one and it's great for first time, young or novice ATV riders because it's not so fast that they are going to get in trouble to fast to handle it. My son just turned thirteen and is a good rider (has safety Cert too), but I wanted a vehicle that he could drive safely on the DNR trails. I was worried about others hitting him more than him hitting them. The ACE fits the Bill. I'm actually glad the 325 came out first and I got it because novice riders don't need a lot of power and it will go 50 mph, however, it takes a long time and a smooth and wide trail to go that fast. The ACE is fast enough 95 % of the time on the trails here in MI. I'm 6'4" 255 lbs. and I fit in it fine and it will take me to fifty on a dirt road.
If sales continue to stay strong over the next few seasons, I think it won't be long before the other manufacturers hop aboard the niche-market train to get their slice of the market pie. I think having a roll cage, seat-belt, a much lower overall CoG, a more familiar automotive style steering system are all wins for the safety conscious buyer, or rider with youths, women, and folks that have mobility issues. Add in the relatively less expensive investment price, and a smaller trail footprint as opposed to full-size SxSs, and you see these are all wins for Polaris, I am saying that and I am a Yamaha brand loyalist. It'll be interesting to see how the other players respond, if at all. I still don't know why Yamaha has NOT put their 500cc twin Phazer 4-stroke snowmobile motor in a ATV or UTV chassis. Its a very compact 500cc, and makes 80hp, and can be turbo'd to well over 140hp safely. Oh well I can dream.
+DaShawn Sturdivant I think Can-Am would be most likely to copy the Ace. Yamaha making something like this would be great but they have yet to hint at even a 50" utv. Can-Am could simply put the Outlander 450(base), 570(mid price) and 1000(full on performance) to compete with Polaris.
Greg Rowe Very true, Greg. Yamaha and Honda, have always been the ones to rather fall behind and perfect what's already there, instead of keeping up with trends, hell, they just now came out with a true sport SxS this year and they are the ones that sparked the whole sport UTV/SxS craze in 2004 with the birth of the Rhino. I think you are right though Can-Am idea would bring some serious competition for Polaris.
I second that about putting a 400cc 2-Stroke in an ACE I'd buy one for sure my old 1999 Polaris 400 Scrambler is still running never rebuilt but I did add a Boysen RAD valve cage and reeds and AAEN pipe but everything else is stock and it kicks my buddies Scrambler 500s ass all day long! And I'm still running the factory oil injector that everyone keeps saying not to!? Hell make the ACE even better make a deal with BRP/Evinrude and put an E-Tec injected 2-Cycle in it that would kick everythings ass!
So that has the same ProStar engine that my 2015 Sportsman ETX has in it? I thought they came with a 570??? I like my ETX but it pales in comparison to my 2015 Sportsman 570 EPS as far as power is concerned. I crawled in one at my Polaris dealer and I am not sure what to think. I did not drive it. Too much difference in money compared to a regular Sportsman as far as I am concerned.
GREAT LOOKING MACHINE AND I WOULD BY 1 FOR MY WIFE TO USE AROUND THE FARM!!!! AS SHE AND HER MUM DONT LIKE ATVS AND FOR $9999 DRIVE AWAY IN AUSTRALIA WITH THE RELIABILITY OF THE LEADING POLARIS ITS WELL JUST PLANE AWSOME!!!!
Paint the plastics and the cage pink, install a "lighted vanity" mirror for easy helpful makeup application, give it some cup holders and market it strictly for women and certain men that are in touch with their feminine side.
I wouldn't go that far, lol. The price will keep most people from buying it. $7500 for this thing is way too much for what it is. How rich does Polaris think the average customer is? If I were to buy something for someone else to ride(wife or kids) I'm not spending anywhere near that much money. They're probably getting a used 250 trailblazer for about $1000 and be happy they have that. That's a cheap beginner's quad that anyone can ride.
Ive said before and I'll say it a again bring the good ol 400 two stroke and stick that in it the 400 two stroke is way faster and more powerful than the ProStar 32
I think the EPA has pretty much outlawed 2-strokes in atvs and dirtbikes since about 2006. So that will never happen. The 570 engine would be nice but that would push the price up even further.
I owned a 400 scrambler once. Very fast and peppy but lasted about 3 months before it threw a rod and destroyed the engine. It had been rebuilt fairly recently but they used cheap parts and they didn't last. I'll never own another 2 stroke again, I just don't trust them. Sold it for parts because a new engine cost more than it was worth. I went back to buying used Hondas instead, no more used Polaris either. Polaris ruined the Scrambler by giving it irs and making it almost as heavy as the Sportsman. If they came back with a shaft drive, solid rear axle Scrambler with the 570 engine in it, I think they would hit a home run but they will never do it. Put a small rear rack on it and a small lockable box on the front and of course the on-demand 4x4. Keep the weight around the weight the 500 was(about 550 lbs dry weight) instead of over 700 lbs like the new 850 Scrambler. Would make it a very unique machine that would be a serious threat to the 500 Renegade.
It is good for a beginner but for me throw bigger engine in it throw set Silverbacks on it then there would be something to talk about. Ill stick with my Maverick for now.
not to compare brands or anything but this is basically a sit-in quad bike. and can am makes one with like 80hp, so why cant this thing have at least half that? When your sitting down and buckled in you want to have more than enough power, and not to look at a hill and wonder if your new toy has the balls! I'm a little disappointed with the execution on this one polaris...
Chuck U Farlie Yes I know. What I mean was Can Am makes an atv (four wheeler) with 80hp. Would haven been nice if the fine people at Polaris put a powerplant with more hp in it than a lawn mower. Im sure they have their reasons (or excuses) but I think it would be much more popular with "guys that have it all" if it had more hp. I still love the company and am saving up for a rzr but I hope they come out with a "pro" or "extreme" version with more hp before the Ace goes extinct.
Who cares there for younger drivera and people who might want practice before they take on those big ones like the 1000 and it can go on narrower trails those big bulky ones have a hard time with
$8000 is a ton of money for a toy, not to mention saying its intended for a 2nd ride for your kids or wife, implying you spent even more for your own toy. I suppose if you compare it to the price of a Rzr its cheaper but it costs the same price as an 800 Sportsman which has a lot more power. No ability to carry a 2nd person and performance basically equal to a 300cc atv that costs about half the price. Overpriced and overhyped. I'm not saying its a horrible machine but for that amount of money, I'd expect more power, such as the 570 Sportsman engine. That little 327cc engine will be worked pretty hard in this heavy machine. +Greg Rowe Well, Polaris must have read what I posted as the original Ace is now priced at $4999 locally, right at what I said it should cost. And they are selling a ton of them. Add $1500 and you can upgrade to the non-eps Ace 570. The Ace 900 is still priced a bit out of reach but for those who don't care about price, its still at least available as an option.

"Here, hold my beer."
Chuck U Farlie lmao

Epic getting mine delivered today hopefully wish me luck
Hey, it's a Honda Odyssey with suspension! No new segment here, just reinventing a really old one.
+Lafond RC And 4 wheel drive.. :-)
Great video. I am planning on getting a 570 ace

Good review! Those interested may want to know that it uses a high/ low range trans.
I really liked your video it was very professional and entertaining. I liked how you addressed all the specs, and gave all your opinions about it. Great video!

You guys are great keep it up!!!
Basically a quad with an actual cockpit seat and a steering wheel nothing fancy
I am interested to see what the "570" version can do.
Loved the vid and Thank You for helping me with my choice to purchase a Polaris Ace. :-)
This is for people that want a side by side but don't have friends
Love the video, keep up the great reviews!
Good video but I think the ace should have a 600-700 twin but gear it down to have some grunt for farm and utility use
I have one and it's great for first time, young or novice ATV riders because it's not so fast that they are going to get in trouble to fast to handle it. LOVE THAT THING
You should put a link to fxr next video I want to check them out maybe buy some gear
would like to see them either stretch it another 4" or move the dash forward . At 6'4" I don't fit. Knees were tight against the dash.
wondering about its dimensions. can still a diamondback cover haul 2 of them on top?
i would love to see this built around the scrambler 1000 platform! make it happen, Polaris!

I am picking up a ace today
are you going to do a build for this?
Ace Quad
They took the idea of the old Honda Odyssey and Honda Pilot and expanded on it.
That's a pretty cohost you had there.
For me it’s between this and a cf moto zforce 500
Sportsmen ace 1000 xp now that would be a Polaris I would buy
I’m getting one
put an 800 motor in one of these! but im sure even with the 570 motor in them now they'd be much better
all of the target market and it's a good price
My friend has one I have pushed it to around 55

FL250_ODYSSEY_1981_US_1
reminds me of the honda pilot and odyssey
Sick
i Want one
It is good for a beginner but for me throw bigger engine in it throw set Silverbacks on it then there would be something to talk about. Ill stick with my Maverick for now.
The only shortfall I see is the lack of power. I have a 2002 sportsman 700 and there are times i wish it had more power.
Who need the brakes with only 32 hp. you will only need brakes if you park uphill ;)
Almost looks like the old honda pilot atv
not to compare brands or anything but this is basically a sit-in quad bike. and can am makes one with like 80hp, so why cant this thing have at least half that? daxxas
The 570 version is selling fast in Washington.
1000cc and 4x4 then it would be good
+daybreaK It is a 4x4
Honda did this 30 years ago....
Ah
Look`s like a smaller rzr but with one seat. But not as cool as a rzr 1000 LOL!!
Who cares there for younger drivera and people who might want practice before they take on those big ones like the 1000 and it can go on narrower trails those big bulky ones have a hard time with
polaris version of the honda odyssey
Nice car, we have a radio controlled model from it!!!
I'll take three to four mint condition Honda pilots for the same cash
Cool but id rather have an oddyssey.
So it's basically an atv for kids but ok for over protective parents
Not to mention rich parents as well.
Greg Rowe the Ace only costs about 9,000$ not that much actually
Still more than I would pay
I was wrong its about 8'000$
$8000 is a ton of money for a toy, not to mention saying its intended for a 2nd ride for your kids or wife, implying you spent even more for your own toy. Neat idea, just too expensive. That's the only real gripe I have about this machine. Not enough bang for the buck. Unless you're rich, you're not going to buy this for a 2nd machine for your wife or kids. You're buying them a used 330 Trailboss for about 2K. That's a beginners atv and one that people can afford and be comfortable about the size and power as an inexperienced rider. A 250 Trailblazer is another good choice and is even cheaper(that was my first atv). This thing is priced the same as an 800 Sportsman(7500 retail). rip out the stock motor put a banshee motor or 660 raptor motor good to go.
it looks fucking wired :D
“In my experience as a racer...an Ace with 30 crank HP impressed me” 😂... LIES!
