So that tv show was extremely racist, in a point the host said “open your eyes”, as a Brazilian I know that channel and that tv show and they are very noisy and annoying. Not all Brazilians are like this! And sorry if you felt offended

To be fair, his eyes were really confusing for me to look at?? Even with natural monolid small eyes, I can see the whites of the eyes and where the lid meets each other. But his were like? Idk if it’s the eyelashes or makeup, but on the Brazilian show there’s a lot of black chunky stuff on top of his eye and in the corner too? I cant tell where he’s looking at because everything is just a black line, and it seems like that acid fluid they injected in him made his eyes stiff or smth cuz it seems like he can’t do a lot of facial expressions or stretching with his eyes. Race shouldnt even exist as a concept in the first place, I mean it makes 0 sense when asians can differ so greatly in looks where a culturally asian person wouldnt even be considered asian by the rest of society even though they were born in asia, raised in asia, raised around asians and yet are not asian because they dont look it.
Why do people feel attached to race? In one so called race there are many different people from different countries, that doesn't make sense. I can understand when it's about culture. As a brazilian, this was fun to watch, the part where the interviewer screams at him is bc that's one of the very popular style of tv shows in brazil, in which they usually cover weird things, like the chupacabra, and a guy who changed his whole face to look asian, it's very usual in here (and terrible if you ask me), the part where she pushes her eye is def racist, they were talking like "oh imagine if I ever did that surgery" while making that gesture. It get's funnier when you think brazil is actually the place with most japanese descent people outside of japan (and lebanese outside of lebanon, and african descent outside the african continent) but it really ended up being somehow (and I have no idea why) less weird than oli london, probably bc the guy actually changed his whole face and did not kept out facial features often not being viewed as beautiful, and he doesn't keep on screaming "transracial" around like oli does. But he's still seen as a freak in brazil (in brazil plastic surgery in the face is not seem as a everyday thing - unlike body plastic surgery, in which we're the number one country in the world) if you're ever curious about that.

East Asian people generally have a larger epicanthic fold, Polynesian people also generally have a larger epicanthic fold because a lot of their ancestry comes from southern, and eastern Asians
For me it is his nose and slim face ,most asians dont have that nose or slim face ,i cant really tell about his epicanthic folds from the thumbnail ,but considering i cant see the inner pink part much ,im guessing he has them Dont think you can get them from a surgery but im not sure !maybe if he had them to begin with he found ways to make them more prominent

I remember stumbling across Xiahn Nishi a long time ago, and OIi London did trigger the memory. I've never minded Nishi's change because, just like Edward mentioned, he did the procedure for himself as an individual and not to copy a specific individual's physical appearance. It's to be more comfortable in his skin, as in the way he looks and not claiming a different race (because biologically that would be quite impossible). Where as London literally changed the procedure to replicate a specific individual's physical appearance, which I'm so seldomly seeing the upside to it, especially with the added bonus on claiming a race as an identity. From what I remember reading about him, Nishi doesn't really have social media because I think he didn't want his family to get harassed by his decision in getting the procedure, so it could be possible that the social medias we stumble across are most likely not him.

So that tv show was extremely racist, in a point the host said “open your eyes”, as a Brazilian I know that channel and that tv show and they are very noisy and annoying.
Not all Brazilians are like this! And sorry if you felt offended
that wasn't Geraldo, it was Latino, he was in the show with his wife (the one who was pulling her eyes) at time (I can't remember her name), I'm not defending Geraldo btw
(btw yes I’m Asian)

I was going through a rough time (I’m adopted into a Korean family- I’m black) and everyone would call my family beautiful and never complement me, and I know at that age I prayed and wished to do this when I got older. Luckly I learned to love myself - of course I still have my insecurities but idk, I do find it weird for someone to want to change their race , but I also feel like a hypocrite for thinking that bc of my situation and how I wanted to do that my whole childhood so I could be like my siblings

you know, a friend of mine put this really well. according to him, the reason asian-fishing or trying to look like another race is bad is because it is commodifying and therefore devaluing the race to something that can be bought and sold.
My daughter in law and grandchildren are Cambodian. I’ve always thought Asian people were beautiful. I think it’s a little silly to change your look to another nationality. Be proud of who you are and admire others.

He looks pretty close except one thing I notice is his epicanthic fold. what gives most East Asians their “Asian look” is their epicanthic fold. East Asian people generally have a larger epicanthic fold, Polynesian people also generally have a larger epicanthic fold because a lot of their ancestry comes from southern, and eastern Asians
For me it is his nose and slim face ,most asians dont have that nose or slim face
,i cant really tell about his epicanthic folds from the thumbnail ,but considering i cant see the inner pink part much ,im guessing he has them
Dont think you can get them from a surgery but im not sure !maybe if he had them to begin with he found ways to make them more prominent

"Catfishing with plastic surgery" comment isn't my favorite cause I had to have reconstructive/plastic surgery for a birth defect and even though I don't plan on having kids the idea that someone would get mad or reject the kid because of "how ugly I naturally was" or whatever is really messed up.
Agreed. It’s messed up how a man would sue his wife cause the “kids are not pretty”
The whole thing was also a hoax/joke and ruined the lady’s life as a model and her personal life
@@bloomy27 its actually not true
he kinda looks like that one korean short film about plastic surgery
it's called human form
I'm Brazilian and I remember this guy so well, he appeared in a famous TV program and everyone went like "wtf you did with your eyes" "you were so handsome why you did that?" and the most memorable to me "we know that Brazil is one of the most diverse countries in the world but won't and can't be Asian or whatever you want just because you want"
The way Ed formats and commentates his videos is just perfect 👌
7:25 *Addison Rae flashbacks* “maybe she’s Asian” “don’t assume their race what if their korean”??
so, im brazillian and im going to try to translate some of the stuff said in the program for you guys
6:26 so first they say that he does looks similar to asian people
6:31 then they proced to say that billions (im pretty sure that this is an exageration) of brazillians are in the us ??????
6:39 here, the host says that even his smile changed
6:43 then someone says in the back for him to "bulge his eyes" to them check the diference
7:01 the way that the host talks is kind of rude to be honest lol we don't normally talk this loudly
7:04 here the host says something about a cop ?????? im assuming that he was going to say that if Xiahn was stoped by a cop and they ask for his id the cop would be really confused
7:12 here he says that his eyes are still swollen for the surgery since he did it not long ago
edit:typo
I swear, you have officially become a favorite of mine. Your commentary is impeccable!
I’ve been dying over here, especially on the having kids part;
“Honey I know you’re Chinese, Japanese and Korean but…why our baby look like an NSYNC member?” 😂😂😂😭 I’m dead
Xiahn Nishi looks more Asian than Oli London albeit a little bit stiffly robotic...
"your worst enemy is that meatloaf sitting in your head" why am i laughing but also crying
First name was Chinese, Second name was Japanese but looks Korean/White. He is so confusing… But at-least his doesn’t as bad off as Oli. And it seems like he acts some what decent and not over the top like Oli does. Lol
this was definitely a bed time story. for me, atleast
Yeah, only because I've seen far worse or crazier.
Well, then. At least this guy has WAY BETTER surgeons than Oli London!
As an asian, I've hated my single eyelids growing up and have just recently learned to like them (took me becoming 22 y/o to do so). I can't believe people would get surgery to change their eye shape so DRASTICALLY 😐
This bed time story was so helpful!!! I wanted to stay awake
JAILLLLL
I just hope Oli never finds that plastic surgeon
Nah, his face is maxed out.
Me, a Brazilian person watching Domingo show in Edvasian's channel: Ok, now the world is really ending. 😳
We do sound angry sometimes, but this Host (Geraldo Luís) is really loud even to Brazilian people lmao
What probably separates him from being mocked like Oli London is pretty privilege
Seen your old videos and have to say awesome to see you embrace stylistic changes. Love the hair and contacts.
that clip of Oli made my brain burn
Is there like a video of the actual bts reacting to oily?
Like I'm really curious what they think they of how he's acting?
Also the husband suing wife story (or at least the one that got really famous) was actually fake, and was supposed to be an ad campaign for plastic surgery...
It's a really interesting story, I recommend checking it out
Jimin makes fun of him during a live...i think it was the butter premier countdown? it was so quick & just to another one of the members that most people missed it. they haven't formally/publicly addressed it as I think they're not wanting to give him the clout he's so desperately looking for.
@@skylermiles4631 I mean I know he wants attention... everyone knows he wants attention...
But like he's literally tiptoeing around being an actual stalker... and then there's the whole .... (Delusional) thing where he calls him his husband or something and carried around a cutout.. like the sheer level of obsession...
Like I would also like to see psychologists react to him
Send Oli to whoever did Xianh's surgeries now
When I showed this to my Asian parents, they said it is strange but also interesting. This is because they were born in a time when white people had cultural hegemony, so although it was common for other races to have surgery to look white, it was unthinkable for white people to have surgery to look Asian.
I found him on Facebook he still looks the same if not better now lol
