Great concise video. I especially like that you mentioned covering the viewfinder. It's easy to forget but when your exposure times get up into the several minutes range, light bleed through the viewfinder can be enough to ruin your shot. I cut a little temporary cover out of some dark plastic and I keep it handy in my filter case. Happy shooting.

Thanks so much, this really helped me get what i wanted, well explained too. I bought an inexpensive Zomei ND1000 made from Schott glass. has a bit of a blue caste but really nice.

But effect of this filter is easy to create in photoshop... (CC extend) stack mode in inteligent objects.
