My Nomatic Travel Pack fits my old 15,6" laptop, but without close the security tab. It's a great Backpack, and its expansion fits more than it looks! Best ever!
I own the Nomatic Travel pack and love it. When I bought it I thought I would use it from time to time as a breifcase and planned to stow the straps. I have found in use that I personally just prefer to run it as a backpack either full on back of half strapped for quick runs out of the office after long meeting days. Unfortunately, no backpack really works as a all in 1 for short trips as I am a tall individual with large feet so traveling with any sort of extra pair of shoes pretty much automatically makes for a carry-on luggage situation during travel. I do find the expandability super usable though for clothing and work materials married with a small carryon for all of my other needs for those longer biz trips. Nomatic has a great product line up for sure - I wish their checked luggage was lower cost as there are better all around products for the money - even from premium brands such as Away etc....
Aaron, you missed one of most obvious Business Backpacks, that is XD Design Bobby Biz with its quite nice security features and actually working briefcase mode.
so yeah from what im seeing it would seem that thee Hideout 5-Way Commuter Pack is the one I'm leaning towards.. its not without its cons for example it has no water bottle holder and don't get me started with it's shoulder straps but for there asking price .. to quote kanye "wait till i get my money right"
Aer Tech Sling 2 will most def be my next purchase. Right now enjoying the Waterfield Design Bolt Briefcase in ballistic nylon which is what I consider the best business messenger. Nice video.
Great video and great channel! High energy and I like how you talk about cons so it doesn't seem like a typical shill review. Any chance you can do a video fully dedicated on waterproof laptop backpacks? Something that might simulate a heavy rain storm or something? Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words! To be honest all of these backpacks are very water resistant (not waterproof though). I’ll def look into making a full roundup on waterproof/water resistant bags :)
Your videos are great! While not on this specific clip, I ended up ordering the Aer City Pack after watching your review. I have the Peak Design Everyday backpack which I find to be great looking and useful for photographers (which I am not). However, it’s extremely heavy even when empty and very uncomfortable when compared to something as basic as the North Face Surge, which I also have. The Surge is a bit too big for daily commute. Hopefully the Aer is a happy medium.
What are some options for slightly larger than 20L backpacks that can go briefcase/messenger/duffel mode? something that can double as an overnight/weekend bag, but still can be a daily when need be. the nomatic travel pack might work, but very pricey. there's the tortuga outbreaker laptop backpack that could work, but it's not very sexy. wondering if there's more options in this range
@@Nomads.Nation not sure if the aer flight pack would be large enough for what i need. been looking into the Black Ember ones, Shadow-26, Citadel, and Forge. One of those might be what I want. Maybe leaning towards the Forge. Any experience with any of those? Or alternatives to something like that?
@@saedo9723 The Forge is pretty awesome but I haven't done a full review on it yet - hopefully soon. Can't go wrong with Black Ember though so I think that's a great route for you
I've watched a bunch of your videos to try to pick out a pack for myself. I'm a Business traveler (usually a week or less). I travel with 3-5 dress shirts, couple pair on pants, socks, undies, etc.. I'm looking for an EDC that I can use for 1 week trips as well. Initially I thought you recommended the nomadic travel for this but after I watched the later knack pack series 2 medium review, it sounded like you preferred that. I also saw a comment from you that indicated that as well. However this is yet another later video and now you seem to be back to the nomadic. Can you clear up your thoughts on the difference between the two and which you think would be better for my application?
They are both amazing, you can't go wrong either way, it just depends on. Try Nomatic's out first, if you don't like it you can return it with their 30 day policy.
@@Nomads.Nation great thanks. Do you have a video on organization pouches? I tried searching but didn't find anything. I noticed knack sold some specifically for their bags. I like the idea of being able to pull out my clothes and leave them at the hotel without having them all over the place. Makes it look like I'm not taking a travel pack to the client.
Anyone have any suggestions of a minimalistic aesthetic-looking backpack that’s structured. I thought I liked The Backpack from Away, but it flips and doesn’t look great unless it’s packed full. I want something simplistic on the outside that isn’t super bulky, but keeps its shape and offers some great inside features. 🤔 Some of these are still too bulky seeming and I don’t care for the briefcase type option some of them have.
Love the Aer Flight Pack 2. If anyone out there knows any other bag that's like this but cheaper, do reply! Very limited access to these bags in Phils.~
I never understand how most people I see making videos like this are never able to put items inside the backpacks to give a sense of space and whether or not it is a practical backpack
Hey Daniel, thanks for your comment! If you want to see any of these bags fully packed out, please check the description of this video where you can find links to our complete, in-depth reviews. Otherwise this would have been a 2+ hour video 😂

It's such a beast, I'm glad you love it!
Great reviews. I think I'm leaning toward one of the Aer models. Probably the City Pack (not reviewed here). Thanks for helping make my decision.

Hi, have you ever tested EVERKI Onyx backpack? Seems col and very well organized for business/laptop
I haven't but I'll be sure to add it to our (crazy long) to-do list :)
THIS is a business back pack. Also check out some of the Briggs and Riley models.

Would recommend the waterfield sutter and bolt slings as more high-end versions of the aer tech sling!
Great rec Raymond, will do!
Professional and carefully introduce of the backpack, if you are interesting new business backpack, warm welcome to Mark Ryden

Evergoods CPL24 (but won't be cheap). Aer Flight Pack could be a good option as well.

Please review the Hillside Meridian “Bagpack”

I really wish I could afford the Nomatic messenger bag but I could never afford $340 CAD for a 💼.
Thanks for the awesome videos!!
Never say never! And thanks for the love!
Dude, I typed in "17 inch laptop backpack", why does this video come up? It doesn't feature a single backpack with a 17 inch compartment.
no idea, but we do plan to do a 'best 17-inch laptop bags' roundup soon - be sure to subscribe so you are notified once it goes live!

This is sort of a catch 22. If it keeps it's shape, it's going to be a bit bulky. Maybe check out the Aer Day Pack 2?
Which app do you use to design backpacks??
not sure what app my designer uses
Hi, small doubt between bellroy melboune and modern day fare bag which one is more secure?
Tough call but I’d pick modern Dayfarer
Great review! How would you say the aer fitpack 3 compares to the modern dayfarer? Can't decide between the two...
Thanks! I personally prefer the Modern Dayfarer - it’s currently my go to EDC
Nice list ! Could you do a dedicated one for the camera people?
Coming soon 😏
nice as usual mate.. 👍👍
Thanks my dude!
I missed home when watching your videos... 😁
Hong Kong misses you too!
What if I like to take a walmart bag to my billion-dollar-deal meetings?
Thanks for the excellent video!
Thanks so much Eric!
No Black Ember forge? Especially the forge-20
Haven't reviewed it yet, hopefully soon :)
Thanks - I like the packs by Montbell.
Haven't reviewed them yet but am hoping to soon :)
Is tech sling 2 capable of holding a bew 14” MBP?
Ah not sure, I’d recommend reaching out to Aer and asking them :)
which of these backpacks has the best laptop protection?
If I had to pick one, probably the Modern Dayfarer since it’s a ‘hard shell’ and has the best materials

Thanks for the comment Luis, but I gotta be true to myself - I’m a high energy person 💪🏾
Please don’t put messengers and slings in a back pack video, thx!
