I know, I just upgraded my card recently 😉 Give it a try, you won't regret it! The mod community is as active as ETS2's, you will find fascinating vehicles and maps. My best advice: learn to read the terrain, in most of the cases (dirt) roads are not the best path and winching is not a shame. If you play ETS2 with manual transmission, SR is your cup of tea, I guarantee. 😉
Hey. Thanks for the feedback. I kinda agree with you, that is why I made a video a while ago where I would like to see Gta5 and ETS2 mixed. Ets2 is a great game, but after awhile its more of the same thing, and it needs something to refresh the game. Coming up next on the channel is a video where I talk about things I would like to see in ETS2. I don't show everything I would like to have in game, but it would give a little extra sauce for now ✌

@@kennethjohnritsema7019 Yes, "explore first" is a perfect tactics, but what I meant by "learn to read the terrain", is develop the ability to recognize where can your truck pass easily. For first I was following roads and struggle in mud. It took me for a while to realize: "hey, there is smooth grassy surface 5-10 meters to the left or right", or dare to driving in shallow river instead on the road, with slippery boulders everywhere, constantly damaging my truck. I sorry about the incompatibility issues, you have a serious equipment there! Hehe, we're about the same age.
Spintires was a pretty revolutionary game in terms of offroad physics and detail. Snowrunner being a "sequal" to mudrunner, a sequal to spintires, it make alot of sense for snowrunner to carry over these things. As a person who loves off-highway trucks and heavy machinery I find the spintires games really relaxing and frankly much more enjoyable then ETS2 and ATS (I still play them tho, I'm a sucker for trucks in general) I grew up on spintires, so no matter what the spintires games will always have a place in my heart. And in some sense spintires has more detail then snowrunner. For example dynamic mudsplatter has been removed in snowrunner, instead of mudsplatter being calculated on angle, speed and force, mudsplatter is preset for certain areas.
Comparing these two simulators is like comparing a new car to an older vehicle. The time, the possibilities at the time and much more, you should already specify that in a comparison video.
I prefer snow runner those small details get me hooked lile after a while of using a truck it will get dirty if you drive through snow your tires get white if you drive in mud brown if you drive on a road after coming out of deep mud you can see the splater if you drive in mud fast you can see it splater on the truck and stuff around it. I hate how must trucking games even after hours of playing you look at your truck and its in perfect condition.
Snowrunner is challenging since you drive on the mud, snow etc and ETS2 is Just a game to chill out. You put on your favorite music and hit the road. On the other hand it might get boring eventually, while in snowrunner there’s a lot to do and a lot of things we need to do in order to cross the challenging path. I like both games and I play them equally.
You are comparing cosmetic things. But the real difference is in gameplay. The goal in Ets 2 is to deliver different cargo, even really big one, driving on a good roads on a big map. And to deliver it in time. It's about spending long hours on a highway with some good music in your ears. Snowrunner is all about offroad. It's about dealing with mud, deep snow, about rescuing trucks from swamps. Gameplay is totally different.
I know this is 2 months old, but I have to. "Snowrunner is all about offroad. It's about dealing with mud, deep snow..." this is pretty true. "...about rescuing trucks from swamps. Gameplay is totally different." what? It's true that you can rescue trucks from swamps, but the main goal of snowrunner is to deliver cargo, sometimes massive pieces, on all sorts of roads, some perfect some impossible, spending tons of hours getting stuff done, you can blast music if you want to. Rescuing vehicles takes up only a fraction of gameplay and most of which is only a thing if you get your own trucks stuck a lot. The mud and snow are the theme, but the gameplay is very similar, it's just missing the very empty straight roads, and the AI.
Different goals .. but player base is exactly the same one. The more competition to ETS/ATS the better, in my opinion .. wtf have they been doing past decade? there are even many elements more immersive or sim in 18WOS series or Hard Truck 2. jezus,,, last time i was fine with level of detail and simulation of what ETS2 offers was also a decade ago. They are like ""MOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR MAAP" .. more map is the last thing i want - i want more in it, not more of it.
I don't know, how is it possible to compare two such different games like "SnowRunner" and "Euro Truck Simulator 2". Both focused on delivering something but in other types of environnement. I can't compare this two games in that way.
Snowrunner actually requires some brain power, patience and planning. You can have a seemingly perfect route all planned out, the right truck and tires and it can all go to shit real quick. Huge risk reward and it also weeds out the lazy people.
I think both games are good in their respective scenarios. I play both and had hundreds of hours with them both. It's really hard to compare them side by side as is coz they are made differently. Good thing I love them both :)
I've played over 500 hours of both games. In my opinion, Snowrunner's atmosphere, environmental details, physics and many other features are definitely better than ETS 2. There are only 2 features that are better than ETS 2's snowrunner. The first is very long asphalt roads, the 2nd is that there are A LOT of NPCs. You really want to see those damn NPCs when playing Snowrunner
Before stating my opinion here, I'd like to give credit to the user "TheFinePlayer" for his amazing comment. You should check it out :) I find it hard to compare a game released in 2012 (ETS2) to a game released in 2020 (SnowRunner). I also think that one should not compare SnowRunner to ETS2. ETS2 being a game about managing your trucking business in the modern world and casually trucking around Europe while SnowRunner on the other hand is a game taking place in... somewhere at some time (never really interested in SnowRunner more on that further down) with totally different trucks (old and American). For example, on the exhaust smoke section, obviously SnowRunner will have more there as they are old American Trucks in comparison to the modern European Trucks with more regulations than the rules on a discord server. (I have tried Snowrunner before and I just didn't like the driving at all. I knew it was obviously going to be different from ETS2, but I assumed it to be similar to MudRunner, but it was in fact not. And with that I left SnowRunner alone and never came back.) And with that, it should be obvious that my preferred game is ETS2.
I haven't tried ETS2 yet but I have tried ATS and Snowrunner, and I loved both of them. ATS is like a calm, relaxing drive while Snowrunner is very intense because one mistake and you'll end up stuck 😅
Considering the fact that ets is as old as it is its simply the best for me. Snow runner got some nice physics and the fact that it's a new title sure helps in that regards. I wonder wen we will be getting ets 3.
For me this comparison was not abt, which one is the best, bt it was highlighting the major differences... nw wl have to get snow runner and feel the experience
i'd say ETS 2 are focused on gameplay simulation of driving a truck while snowrunner more into physics and realism of the display/graphics. ets 2 didn't have much detail phisycs like rotating driveshaft or swinging mudflaps like snowrunner but snowrunner didn't have the feelings of realistic driving like ETS 2
if you want to have fun , play ETS 2 ... if you want to grow patience and feel like a real trucker , snowrunner is on the top of the list ... i prefer tough ones ... but snowrunner needs more work on driving details (like realistic manual gear and clutch , better mirrors , interactive dashboard ...etc) to become a simulation game like ATS and ETS .
Snowrunner and others game similar (with Runner ending on it) is designed for advanced Player who loves adventures and real life experiences driving. And yes that game is targeted for Off-road enthusiasm. Meanwhile ETS 2 is designed for everyone, especially for someone who only want to driving and chilling, also with light adventure on it. Also ETS 2 is designed for some simplicity.
Why even make this? The only thing these games have in common is that both have trucks. ETS2 is a truck driving simulator, simulating regular road conditions and running a truck company. Mud/ShowRunner is an off road simcade with ground and mud physics that works more like an open world sandbox with the usual open world busy work... It even has watch towers like in FarCry. And ETS2 is a much much older game. So comparing these two because they are technically both truck driving games is like comparing Squad to COD because there're guns and shooting in both.
ET2 2 is boring sometimes, I feel like falling asleep during long-range missions. But in Snowrunner roads are shorter and packed with action. So Snowrunner is funnier to play than ETS 2 IMO.
It would be top tier if ETS2 could enhance its environmental graphics and animations. Also, SnowRunner is more fun because it's challenging and gives you more control over situations. Also, unlike ETS2 where you just go from point A to B and repeat that cycle, SnowRunner adds more complexity to jobs. You can go from point A to point D, then C, to get to point B, or plan differently to your convenience. That being said, both games could use more life to them. There are extremely minimal pedestrians in ETS2, mostly just vehicles on the roads. SnowRunner has basically abandoned towns and villages, ghost lands.
Yeah. Ets 2 doesn’t have bad roads at all, just some bad textures (if it’s the case). It would be more challenging and attractive if that type of road that we found in snowrunner do be present in ets game. Trucks are good tho in these games tho. In snowrunner they are kinda old (and i like that) and in ets they are modern and compact. You can mod them how much you want and you can add a lot of old trucks in both. Hard to choose for me what is the best
The snowrunner game has literally no rival as of now, this is a good comparison video, but actually euro truck gameplay is a different thing, snowrunner has a lots of flaws and limitation but for me it’s the most interactive game, being hosted on extremely hostile environments it’s quite unique, a couple games have been announced to try compete one from Alaska and another one from Australia, but what I’ve seen fo far doesn’t come any close to snowrunner supremacy.
For me there is no winner in this comparison, SnowRunner is a fun game and a great pastime, while ETS is an "unpaid job" that, just like in real life, needs to be done very well, generating tension and concentration during tasks. This is my opinion.
I don't even own ets2, but i have ats and i can say i really like both ats and snowrunner, i have way more hours in snowrunner though as i love the challenge of offroading.
Having played both I prefer ETS2 (less frustrating). The problem is that you can't really compare the 2 as they are two different games typically designed for 2 different markets (although they do in part overlap, like in a Ven Diagram). Also you tend to have ex-Soviet/Russian and US trucks in Snowrunner. European trucks are very different.
Well, both games are driving, but I wouldn't compare them. In terms of gameplay, totally different, one is offroad adventure, another one is goods transport at long distance on roads. In terms of physics and graphics, ETS2 is 10 years old game, while SR is 2 years old. But no matter 10 years old, ETS2 can be considered still good. It would be nice to see new engine for ETS2 or ETS3 with new engine, but same world size and yet, enough space for DLCs.
to your question i answer , snowrunner in multi with friends , why ? because the game offers true cooperation where someone could get stuck and youll be the rescuer and then needing fuel after that so someone is the refueler . being useful (having a purpose) is one of humanity greatest feelings , which obviously is one of the provider of positiveness amongs all people , where ever you come from .
They are completely different games! And the goals are different! Why is so much time devoted to the animation of the driver, which is absolutely not needed! SnowRunner was originally positioned as a demo of the game engine, not the game itself! This comparison is not correct!
I think these games cant reqll be compared as their style is a whole different. Ets2 is just a trucking game while snowrunner is a full on offroad Stimulation. While snowrunner barela has any roads, you only drive onroad (as far as i know). I dont want to hate on either game, this is just my point of view. Good vid
American Truck is Better than ETS2 to comparasion. There are so many terrain almost like snow runner, the Trucks in the American Truck are the best.. In the snow runner game, the situation are not real, like in the American Truck.
You may feel like that because you have more of an experience on those type of roads and areas. Though I love them too, I just prefer ETS2 because of the gentle rural vibe and historic architecture, as well as terrain that comes with it (Though the terrain isn't as extreme as ATS, it's still admirable, eg Austria rework)
@@madhavsomaiya3572 yeah idk about architecture, tho cities were never really a strong point in both games, a whole lot in ets are just business/factory districts that all look the same, which does make sense but makes it a bit unimmersive, in ats it's a combination, there are lots of residential areas and super high detailed areas. Overall I'd say ATS has a much better map, but ETS2 has much better mods

I don't show everything I would like to have in game, but it would give a little extra sauce for now ✌
@@joesam. I will try it all and also explore the terrain ,but it won't recognize my Thrustmaster GTII and THA8.There are so many options I'm getting older (53) .Thank you for the tips .
This is so good 👍😮
Snowrunner is the best game ever done, but I like ets,but snowrunner is most very hard, nice video my friend
Comparing these two simulators is like comparing a new car to an older vehicle. The time, the possibilities at the time and much more, you should already specify that in a comparison video.
Nice video as always Milan!
Yeah, the details in sowrunner are amazing!
I love them both and also would love to see the two of them combined to make one game
i have loved the franchise since spintires because of the great emotion that was going through any swamp with a log truck!
The most different things between both of them are the scale of the map, which makes such a details as well.
An in snowrunner we don't get highways 😕
@@MilanTrucker that prolly cuz of snowrunners physics, since going fast makes you're truck very uncontrollable
Snowrunner is just an amazing game. I think the cracked road you take in Snowrunner is probably the best road of the game xd
i love both games, each one have their details ETS2 is more for chill and Snow Runner is very hard
It's actually like dark souls level hard if you're new.
I think both games are good in their respective scenarios. I play both and had hundreds of hours with them both. It's really hard to compare them side by side as is coz they are made differently. Good thing I love them both :)
I think snowrunner can do what ETS can do, but the inverse do not work
Nice comparison 😍
I've played over 500 hours of both games. In my opinion, Snowrunner's atmosphere, environmental details, physics and many other features are definitely better than ETS 2. There are only 2 features that are better than ETS 2's snowrunner. The first is very long asphalt roads, the 2nd is that there are A LOT of NPCs. You really want to see those damn NPCs when playing Snowrunner
Huge + point on ets is you can play with friends
I'm glad that the comment section isn't super toxic
Before stating my opinion here, I'd like to give credit to the user "TheFinePlayer" for his amazing comment. You should check it out :)
I find it hard to compare a game released in 2012 (ETS2) to a game released in 2020 (SnowRunner).
And with that I left SnowRunner alone and never came back.)
And with that, it should be obvious that my preferred game is ETS2.
Been playing ETS 2 since launch & never even thought about playing another. I use those powerful engines mod to make it more meaty...
I will try that soon too. Never tried it xD
I would love to see trucks in ETS2 have a little amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust pipes.
it's staggering that there's zero
Both of them are legendary you can't choose between them
Facts!
@@MilanTrucker 👌❤️
i'd say ETS 2 are focused on gameplay simulation of driving a truck while snowrunner more into physics and realism of the display/graphics. ets 2 didn't have much detail phisycs like rotating driveshaft or swinging mudflaps like snowrunner but snowrunner didn't have the feelings of realistic driving like ETS 2
Nice Video 🌟
if you want to have fun , play ETS 2 ... if you want to grow patience and feel like a real trucker , snowrunner is on the top of the list ... i prefer tough ones ... but snowrunner needs more work on driving details (like realistic manual gear and clutch , better mirrors , interactive dashboard ...etc) to become a simulation game like ATS and ETS .
@1:40 dang.. He honking like winding his hand for haymaker punch
As someone who has spent days and hours of both, I find SnowRunner much more interesting and successful with a big difference.
True
I have never played snowrunner, nor ets but I do play ats
In ETS2, you can also go anywhere! Games are made for different purposes. They cannot be compared!
Don't forget that EST2 was created in 2012 and sr in 2020
The snowrunner game has literally no rival as of now, this is a good comparison video, but actually euro truck gameplay is a different thing, snowrunner has a lots of flaws and limitation but for me it’s the most interactive game, being hosted on extremely hostile environments it’s quite unique, a couple games have been announced to try compete one from Alaska and another one from Australia, but what I’ve seen fo far doesn’t come any close to snowrunner supremacy.
Different games one is offroad driving and the other city trucking
Nice video
The next iteration of Snowrunner should be Cityrunner. Wherein we can haul through the cities and countries 🙃
No
@@jeremycorse8967 Snow
Snowrunner is fun, but go above 30mph and the trucks handle like submarines! Also having no manual shifter support is a problem
Its awsome soo many details but euro truck is 10 years old game still look good.
After comparing both games, they're both great in their own ways. I believe we'll see ETS2 become even better in future game updates.😆
True
For me there is no winner in this comparison, SnowRunner is a fun game and a great pastime, while ETS is an "unpaid job" that, just like in real life, needs to be done very well, generating tension and concentration during tasks. This is my opinion. Hugs
I don't even own ets2, but i have ats and i can say i really like both ats and snowrunner, i have way more hours in snowrunner though as i love the challenge of offroading.
can't wait for Euro Truck Simulator 3
Snowrunner and Mudrunner remind me very much of Fallout 4
Snowrunner, also known as the greatest trucking simulator of all time 😔👌🚛🚚
Having played both I prefer ETS2 (less frustrating). The problem is that you can't really compare the 2 as they are two different games typically designed for 2 different markets (although they do in part overlap, like in a Ven Diagram). Also you tend to have ex-Soviet/Russian and US trucks in Snowrunner. European trucks are very different.
🔥Nice Vide⭕️ Br⭕️🔥
Snow runner simply phenomenal, on another level!
Very nice game. So for you it wins against ETS2?
@@MilanTrucker Yes, that's right, for me it's simply an amazing game.
Both are the best truck sim games you can ever play.
1:40 Snowrunner horn animation looks very animalistic
Windscreen wipers is a must
Neither. I prefer American Truck Simulator. I believe it would have been a better comparison ATS VS Snowrunner since snowrunner is set in usa
It is also set in Canada and Russia, so...........
Both are my favourite but Snowrunner is love😍
2:20 where is that in ets2?
Snowrunner has Got to be one of the best games i have ever played
to your question i answer , snowrunner in multi with friends , why ? because the game offers true cooperation where someone could get stuck and youll be the rescuer and then needing fuel after that so someone is the refueler . being useful (having a purpose) is one of humanity greatest feelings , which obviously is one of the provider of positiveness amongs all people , where ever you come from .
nothing can beat good ol' ets2
Euro Truck Simulator 2😍😍😍👍🏻
Snowrunner is the great game I play it sometimes but I love ets2.
I think ETS2 and Snowrunner is Not comparable, because they don’t have the same focus and different „theme“!
Also true
They are completely different games! And the goals are different! Why is so much time devoted to the animation of the driver, which is absolutely not needed! SnowRunner was originally positioned as a demo of the game engine, not the game itself! This comparison is not correct!
I like both but I love playing with snowrunner with natural
camera movement and vehicle controls are unlogical and very frustrating in snowrunner.
Snowrunner is a 2020 game but ets 2 is a 2012 game but the graphic differences are a little
The only thing that I don't like about eurotruck is the physics it doesn't have any physics but you can install physic mod
Snowrunner (2020) is way newer than ETS2 (2012) that's why Snowrunner has more details.
I like the extreme level of details mudrunner has
Same
I want original Spintires back!
Euro Truck Simulator 2: Watching paint dry.
Snowrunner: Watching paint dry while sitting on a barbed-wire fence.
Wie kann man nur die zwei Spiele überhaupt versuchen miteinander zu vergleichen. 🤣🙉🙈🤦🏽♂️
I think these games cant reqll be compared as their style is a whole different. Ets2 is just a trucking game while snowrunner is a full on offroad Stimulation. While snowrunner barela has any roads, you only drive onroad (as far as i know). I dont want to hate on either game, this is just my point of view. Good vid
Snowrunner for offroad lovers
Et2 for highway riders
That's it boi
Anyway I recomment you to play both of them because they are awesome for their own reasons. Snorunner for satisfying physic, ETS 2 for the open world.
