This game was the first ever game I had in my life back in 1986 or 87. This game was “recommended”to my parents who knew nothing about gaming (neither did I) and this game is in japanese and none of us know japanese. They got the Nintendo for me as a surprised present. I still remember that evening when I got home and the nes was there with this game. I tried to play this game a bit but never even reach the first boss, I was lost walking around the maze and exploring a few different “worlds” (with different color backgrounds) abd had my knight changed to pink (female knight?)) it brought back good memories with this music though :) Excellebt game play!
Amazing playing! You must be a master at this game: seems like you calculated every move and action to be faster and most efficient, like when you purposely get hit by an enemy bullet to jump higher or longer. Your skills are fascinating!
Anyone know where I can find a translation guide for this? I beat the MSX version and I might be getting a Famicom soon. I'd really love to play this version, but alas, no Japanese knowledge.
Too bad this didn't get a U.S. release... I mean, people would have loved this! just re-do those cross tiles and replace any other imagery, and it could have been a hit.
That game makes Deadly Towers look easy, no wonder Konami didn't give this lost game a US release. Maybe for the Nintendo Switch Virtual Console, someday.
The graphics are nice but this version is a joke compare to the msx one. While the graphics are better the game is two time shorter (5 world against 10 for the msx).

連射機で上、通常のコントローラーで下を押すと階段のところで下に抜けることができるんです。……という裏ワザがあったのをこの動画を観て思い出しました。攻略本片手に小学生の時に近所に住んでる友達とものすごい研究してクリアしたのを覚えています。この動画の達人振りに舌を巻きます。

I never played the NES version, thanks for the speedrun :) it looks indeed as if the MSX version has less bugs.
ラストは玄海師範がやったような懐に入り込むの気持ちいいな。ダメージノックバックを利用した移動方法といい大幅なショートカット。
コナミサウンドも素晴らしいゲームだが自分でやるとくっそ難易度高そう。
TASなのか人力TASなのか極めると区別つかなくなる。
私の時代だとゴロゴロ神業みたいなテクでクリアする猛者も居たからなぁ…今でもゼル伝神トラ・風来のシレンRTAライブとか見ててヤベェと思うしな。
正確な指さばき、極まったチャート構築が出来ればファミコン時代のゲームは挑んで見るのも悪くないだろうな。
