They Most likely Praise Samsung and Apple. There we're reviewing a nexus 5 when it barley came out and they were comparing it to the iPhone that came out that year (iPhone 5s?) He compared Google Chrome to Safari and even said multi-touch was slow and unresponsive.... lol
+angel2901 the verge are always biased to Apple and Samsung products so i don't rely on their reviews ,the only time i do is when they praise something outside of these two , when they do , it's something mindblowing
LG's G5 this year is what happened with Samsung's S6 last year so yeah they're phone may be drastically different this year and not be loved but next year every problem they here will be refined and the LG G6 will be INCREDIBLE
fhhh yeah, but at least they didn't fully disband the good sound quality, it probably sounds better, considering it has a woofer, but also be a little quieter. Most people use headphones anyway, so couldn't care less.
From what I hear right now, HTC might have produced a phone that's actually solid in every aspect. Great performance, good battery life, nice look, great cameras, stock-like software (which is also supported for a while), beautiful display and consistent speakers. If you don't really care about those extra features then the HTC 10 might be the best option for you!
+ted fico Yeah, I wouldn't trust that review of the iVerge. It didn't go very deep into details. It was just a quick look of the phone and so far I've read 2 reviews that claimed the camera to be really fast while The Verge said it was slow. Funny, huh?
+TechnoBuffalo It's a gorgeous phone, I love the design of it, the influence of M7's design can be seen clearly. Not yet sure how I feel about the 2-way speaker vs. stereo front-firing but at least one of the speakers is firing forward. A 2-way setup actually makes a lot of sense which I had not considered before for a phone. So yes, I will buy it but not yet. I'm going to wait until it's price dips to 700€ or below in Finland. Current 749€ from HTC/799€ from carrier is just too much considering it is the 32GB variant. At least you lucky Americans have that 100$ discount available for the preorder! 599$ plus taxes for me would be under 660€'s. For that price I'd order it in a heartbeat! 700€'s is where I draw the line for a flagship with only 32GB of internal storage and not even a cent more. Sure it does come with the supposedly OK in-ear headphones and the QC 3.0 charger, with which you could try and justify the price: a) most people already have good IEM's/headphones, like I do, so no. b) that should be standard in the box if you're advertising that feature, the cost of the charger in BOM for HTC is peanuts...so no. And that's about it. But, like I said, I will buy it but not yet. I'm not in a hurry, my M7 thankfully still has life left in it.
+TechnoBuffalo I think from the very beginning (m7), HTC's top selling point is its audio. How does it compare with the past HTC's? I know it will be one of the most capable phones out there, but the audio has always been my favorite part of HTC phones and the only thing I am skeptical of since it is not 2 front firing speakers
Forget the phone. This review was absolutely amazing. Gorgeous b-roll, cool drone shots, informative, easy to follow, and great background music. This is really a next level review, and I appreciate all the effort that went into creating this. Well done Jon and the TechnoBuffalo team!
+giff74 I miss that phone. I traded in for a Note 4 and though I love the power and camera of the Note. The Android experience was far smoother and quicker and efficient on the M8. I can only imagine how smooth this one is!
I heard early May. You can preorder now on HTCs website. Also if you have a carrier other than AT&T, you can sign up for email updates on the release date.
I love the fact that you tell us about what YOU think of the phone after using it like any regular person would, instead of talking a lot about specs and stuff, because not everyone knows about benchmark tests and what not(I love phones, but idk about benchmark tests). I just like to know how a phone holds up and you tell us that. Thanks a lot John and keep up the good work :D
dominiktheboss Now I'm confused :P You kinda fell in love with it but it's the GS6 of this year. Is that negative or positive? since the GS7 has way better battery life. Is the GS7 the perfect phone since the battery life got way more better than GS6, which was the main complaint of the GS6. Does the HTC 10 belong to 2015 or what? xD
Dennis Thorsson Of course it is positive haha. Apart from battery life, the GS6 was the best phone of the year (at least for me, I don't like big phones). I own a GS6 edge. What I meant was, last year, I fell in love with the GS6, and it was truly something new from Samsung. This year, Samsung only adressed the complaints about the GS6 with the GS7, they didn't really do something new. The 10 is really something new for HTC, thats why it's the GS6 of this year :D
dominiktheboss Haha now I understand! Yeah I agree actually, the GS6 was the phone of the year and in my opinion the GS7 may also be the phone of 2016, I just love holding it, the display is dope af and battery life should be pretty good. But I haven't seen the HTC 10 irl, but from the reviews it looks awesome to! Really close to the GS7, if not better ofc when i get to hold it. And these words comes from a jailbroken iPhone 6 owner.. xD
The One M7 was the last phone I used before I switched to iPhone! And after all these years, I finally think I'm gonna have to switch back to Android again! God, I already love the 10!! 😍😍 Can't wait to get my hands on this beauty! And nice review by the way, Jon! It's also been a long time since I watched a video review from your channel! Keep it up! ✌✌
I'm HTC customer since HTC One x and now I have HTC One M9+ HTC the only company that makes a hell of a good UI and software plus the SOUND the only fall in all past generations is the camera and yet with HTC 10 it seems not be a killer camera overall at least not over the s7 or g5 but they did a good job after all. now I can say for sure I'm not going to buy another HTC unless they smash the s7 and 6s in performance and battery life
I have one question that hasn't been answered in any of the reviews yet. With the case covering the screen and in the sun does it make the screen easier to see and less reflective? If it does that would really make taking pictures much better. It's always difficult to see what the camera is taking in direct sunlight.
Excuse me because I don't know the term but when you zoom in after taking a picture with the M10 and its fuzzy can that be fixed with a software update?
On previous HTC One flagships, the notification light was only green or red, but does the HTC 10 notification light change color based on the notification? (this is an important feature for me)
I have to say, this is one of the best reviews i have seen. Not only is HTC my favorite brand. But the editing, photography, tone, background music, pace and time of the video rocks. Awesome work guys!
I got a question for anybody that's used a recent htc device, do they still use the zoe feature? I mean with live photos from apple and motion photos from samsung (I assume lg is on board) joining I'm curious. It seemed like a neat feature when I had the m7, but it's like the only place you could look at them was on some special service they had. It'd be nice to see services taking adbantage of them.
wondering if htc gallery app is availabe on htc 10. from what i understand, google photos app replaces the gallery app on htc. will i be able to download it if its not pre installed?
Great review (as always)! I'm not sure if this is the phone for me because I'm still using the HTC M7 roll-out model (the model in which the sensor in the camera heats up and causes a purple hue around the edges of the shot) and am looking for a different experience with Android (more than likely the S7 Edge). On a side note, just wanted to say great job to the whole TechnoBuffalo team for making another awesome vid!!
It's amazing how you guys are able to remain a leader in this space. I love the way you continue to evolve and grow for the better. Keep up the great work Jon and the Technobuffalo staff.
Hey Jon, I enjoy all of your reviews and I want to get your perspective on the HTC 10 for battery life. I recently purchased this phone and everything you've said about it is true. Except one thing. The battery life started off as you stated in the first week or two. Then recently for some reason the battery started to drain rather quickly not being able to get through the day. Seems very strange. I've done everything from lowering screen brightness, turning off sync options, any special features that drains the battery. It has not solved the problem. Do you think I just so happened to get a phone with a faulty battery? Help!!!
I will have to say that I will have to see one up close. I dont know how I feel about the chaffered edges, however slap on a case and I know I wont notice them. I will also have to compare the phone up with my Samsung s7 camera and see how it stacks up. Also I know the HTC has a capacitive home button/fingerprint scanner. I wonder if it has the LG feature where you it will just unlock straight to the homescreen by touching it. Also if you end up putting a third party launcher on it will it disable that feature and the fingerprint scanner all together like it does on the G5?
Question... How many colours are there for the htc 10? I've seen the gold one with white front, the silver one again with a white front and a black one with a black front... Does anyone know if there's a silver back and black front like in this video? Or is it the light make it look like silver?
WHY CAN'T I GET THE BLACK FRONT ON THE GLACIER SILVER IN THE UK :( and my network won't be stocking it so I have to buy it unlocked, why so many odd issues.
I have preordered one from the HTC store, the front looks like an iPhone, I would like to ask you how is the screen quality? Is it on par with the iPhone 6s? Is it responsive like an iPhone?
I am from Thailand and I have using HTC for about 3-4 years now. The marketing here is bad; little people know of my phone and its brand. However, due to my personal experience with HTC, I am loyal to it. I have recently bought the HTC 10 from a local store that imports devices from abroad. I believe the one I'm using is from Taiwan and I love using it as my daily driver. Everything seems great so far...except the fact that the HTC Thailand seems rarely active about such great devices on the global market!
Great review. Definitely a comeback. I was using the One, M7 and now M9. The 10 is a great upgrade. The perfect number for a perfect comeback. Wish we can get it soon.
I had the M8. Then the M9. And have always been loyal. Yesterday I was so close to switching to an iPhone. And that's tough! The camera is the most important thing to me. Do you really think this on par with the Samsung's and iPhone's of the world?
+Luyolo Dangazela Awesome... any chance you could provide us with low light video? I mean in a not so well lit room... :) IF possible, then that would be super, thanks in advance
You've got a winning formula here htc, just make sure the audio performs well, the battery is enough to get through a day and the camera isn't trash and you're back in the running for me. So far this looks like my new phone to be.
I would love to know with all the different launchers on android how much does the accessibility differ between them? e/g s7 edge to a g5 and htc 10. As a vision impaired tech user i know i can grab any iphone or ipad and the accessibility is almost identical depending on ios version but the main basics are the same. I would love to jump to the dark side and try out all the android goodness it is just quite different.
I'm using the HTC One M8 now and I'm planning on getting a new phone soon. Should I get the Nexus 6P or the HTC 10? I love HTC but the thing that irritates me the most is the software updates.
+AlphaCrisptEch _ I'm currently using the 6s plus and the audio quality is great along with my m50x! Do you think the 24-bit dac on the htc would be a much better experience?
Agnish Paul yes it is effective! Have you got your hands on a ZTE Axon? If yes, you'll find the audio from HTC 10 mind blowing! It is the software that is tweaking the audio experience. So, I guess it doesn't matter whether you have good headphones or not. But, you have got awesome headphones man!
+AlphaCrisptEch _ thannk youuu!! 😁 and yes they are absolutely amazing! Always so immersed when i put them on. Hoping to take it to the next level with the htc 10 😍
I was leaning towards the Nexus 6P and Moto X, but I will consider the HTC 10 as well given the review here. I have a Moto G LTE released June 2014(don't judge me) which works well, but I want an upgrade in screen size, display resolution, ram, processor, sound, and camera.
yeah the 10 is astronomically superb, i agree with john, its like one of the berst, if not the best smartphone out there. well its almost the best, its like one number off 100. i say that because if it was perfect, there wouldnt be problems, but even the best of things have cons. Im most likely not gonna wait in october for the new nexus, cus the 10 is all i neeed.
+Karlyn Ray Hi Karlyn. I do prefer the Nexus line with their timely software updates and stock Android. Moreover, Google has improved the camera. The price,700, for the HTC is too much for me.
TB is the only tech site I've seen so far that praises the HTC 10 camera. Most tech sites said it's the best of HTC to date, but still behind other flagships.
The HTC 7 was my favorite phone for the longest time. Had the G2, S6, and now the S7 Edge. It took 3 iterations too long for them to fix it however this could be the option for those who want a premium non glass phone.
The HTC 10 is impressive. I've never used HTC so I asked some friends that use HTC (or at least used to). One told me he "discovered" the beauty of Samsung's screen and never looked back. Another said he just might upgrade (from the M8). The other is still mulling it over but if he does upgrade it will be the HTC 10. So HTC does have its loyal followers. (I'm waiting for the Samsung Note 6)
HTC is BACK! Great review as always Jon
+SuperSaf TV Much appreciated man!
+TechnoBuffalo Thank you for actually reviewing this phone, unlike other channels that just give biased commentary. Great Review!
+SuperSaf TV We are waiting ure reviews and ure unique camera comparison too
+SuperSaf TV m10 vs s7 camera thanks
So much BETTER than the Verge's Review.
iVerge?
the verge was acting like the phone was horrible and tasteless
EVERY reviewer is better than the Verge lol
They Most likely Praise Samsung and Apple.
There we're reviewing a nexus 5 when it barley came out and they were comparing it to the iPhone that came out that year (iPhone 5s?)
He compared Google Chrome to Safari and even said multi-touch was slow and unresponsive.... lol
You mean iVerge?
LOL, The Verge basically knocked the phone down - on all points you praised it for
+angel2901 the verge are always biased to Apple and Samsung products so i don't rely on their reviews ,the only time i do is when they praise something outside of these two , when they do , it's something mindblowing
+angel2901 check out ars technica review again totally opposite of the iVerge
iVerge is the most biased source you can find.
+angel2901 The Verge says that HTC has no refining feature but they liked the S7 which was much worse in terms of innovation
Kavin Karunathilaka plus they adore Apple which is in a huge innovation slump.
htc is killing it, and LG is flopping the world is back to normal
😂😂😂 👍
agreed. if I had to get an LG device I would get the V10.
+Not Here issues!
HAHA LG is far from flopping.
LG's G5 this year is what happened with Samsung's S6 last year so yeah they're phone may be drastically different this year and not be loved but next year every problem they here will be refined and the LG G6 will be INCREDIBLE
So glad they finally fixed the camera. For me that was the only problem with both the M8 and M9.
Same
+fhhh uh im sure most potential buyers couldnt care less about boom sound.
fhhh makes sense but you have to understand that as a company, their niche isn't enough. So at some point this was gonna happen.
fhhh yeah, but at least they didn't fully disband the good sound quality, it probably sounds better, considering it has a woofer, but also be a little quieter.
+dimitris aspetakis HTC just released a small update for the camera
+S Saini You see? That's what I'm saying. They care about updates.
They should.
YOU SHOULD ;)
Everybody go to "The Verge" review of this phone and dislike that sorry excuse of a video
will do!
+Agent WK i just disliked the verge video
+Agent WK done XD
It was about time.
It would seem that HTC has finally made a good phone.
I'm def buying it.
This killed the verges review
+ted fico Yeah, I wouldn't trust that review of the iVerge. It didn't go very deep into details. It was just a quick look of the phone and so far I've read 2 reviews that claimed the camera to be really fast while The Verge said it was slow. Funny, huh?
Did they pretty much say the iPhone is better ? Cause I know they're very biased
+Abe Yup. They said in their 6s review towards the end "The iPhone 6 was already the best smartphone in the world..." LOL
Abe Yep, 6S and S7. They love the letter S
+Guido Conrad they all areisheeps who all use crappy iPhones!
What do you think about the HTC 10? While you decide, here are 5 things to know about it: th-cam.com/video/A4mDZG17dAs/w-d-xo.html
+TechnoBuffalo Another excellent review, HTC has nailed it this year
+TechnoBuffalo It's a gorgeous phone, I love the design of it, the influence of M7's design can be seen clearly.
Sure it does come with the supposedly OK in-ear headphones and the QC 3.0 charger, with which you could try and justify the price:
a) most people already have good IEM's/headphones, like I do, so no.
b) that should be standard in the box if you're advertising that feature, the cost of the charger in BOM for HTC is peanuts...so no.
And that's about it.
But, like I said, I will buy it but not yet. I'm not in a hurry, my M7 thankfully still has life left in it.
+TechnoBuffalo I already pre-ordered and patiently waiting for the beast to show up on my door step next month..
+kefomomo yes of course is worth every penny
+TechnoBuffalo I think from the very beginning (m7), HTC's top selling point is its audio. How does it compare with the past HTC's? I know it will be one of the most capable phones out there, but the audio has always been my favorite part of HTC phones and the only thing I am skeptical of since it is not 2 front firing speakers
@technobuffalo thanks for making a amazing review! you guys need to teach the verge how to make a honest review.
No, they learned from the Verge not to make honest reviews. You guys are delusional.
Thanks John!
+Bigtape Benjamin :)
+TechnoBuffalo Nice review
I find it funny that you, android authority, and the verge upload the same review at the same time.
+soysauce Embargo
+TechnoBuffalo ya haha. Love your vids :D
+TechnoBuffalo that's a smart embargo. They didn't want those reviewers who use the phone for 30 mins lol
Forget the phone. This review was absolutely amazing. Gorgeous b-roll, cool drone shots, informative, easy to follow, and great background music. This is really a next level review, and I appreciate all the effort that went into creating this. Well done Jon and the TechnoBuffalo team!
+Stetson Doggett dude! What an awesome thing to say. Thank you!
Will definitely replace my iPhone 6. Can't wait.
Hey! Could you send a link to the wallpaper used? 3:37
I wish there was a phablet size
There probably will be one in a couple of months. Just like when the M8 came out
+Derek Roig yeah iam sold if there is max version
TheMacki95 TheMacki95 I can imagine it now, a red htc 10 max
Derek Roig ohhh yes
Hope there's a 5.7" display soon
1:51. How did you get the Google Now widget to expand again? All I get, regardless of size, is two cards and then a button that says "more cards".
I'm in!!!! Where, when, how much?
I've really enjoyed my M8, but it's time to upgrade!
+giff74 I miss that phone. I traded in for a Note 4 and though I love the power and camera of the Note. The Android experience was far smoother and quicker and efficient on the M8. I can only imagine how smooth this one is!
+Ray Robinson Jr (Raybo7) This is the first phone I've been excited about in a long time. I just can't figure when anyone is going to sell it????
I heard early May. You can preorder now on HTCs website. Also if you have a carrier other than AT&T, you can sign up for email updates on the release date.
+Ray Robinson Jr (Raybo7) Thanks for the info!
giff74 Your welcome!
Was awaiting your review. Buying it now for sure
- Long time HTC owner
I've always had a soft spot for HTC. If I didn't have a 6P, then this would be the phone I would get :)
+Z Vaper me too
Just ordered it!
By the way, this is best filmed video on this channel. I love the new style and it keeps getting better. Keep up the good work guys
I am purchasing 365 units, i will change one every day...Smile.
lolol
me too
purchase 366 and give me one.
purchase 366 and give me one.
The HTC 10 is the Galaxy S6 of this year. They tried to make the perfect phone and it seems as if they got damn close
+dominiktheboss Ahm.. Nah not really :P
+Dennis Thorsson I like it :D kinda fell in love with it
dominiktheboss Now I'm confused :P You kinda fell in love with it but it's the GS6 of this year. Is that negative or positive? since the GS7 has way better battery life.
Keep it up! ✌✌
Htc 10 vs s7 edge which one is better phone to buy?
Htc ten
+Sam Tan HTC 10
+Xavier Mathews S7
More raw android, better sound and the metal feel does it for me
I was thinking the same thing I'm probably going to end up with the 10
I'm HTC customer since HTC One x and now I have HTC One M9+
HTC the only company that makes a hell of a good UI and software plus the SOUND
the only fall in all past generations is the camera
and yet with HTC 10 it seems not be a killer camera overall at least not over the s7 or g5
but they did a good job after all. now I can say for sure I'm not going to buy another HTC unless they smash the s7 and 6s in performance and battery life
S7 Edge or HTC 10 only phones worth your money
And nexus 6p
you forgot the MI 5
Too bad very few people can actually afford them. And even fewer people actually need them.
I have one question that hasn't been answered in any of the reviews yet. With the case covering the screen and in the sun does it make the screen easier to see and less reflective? If it does that would really make taking pictures much better. It's always difficult to see what the camera is taking in direct sunlight.
Im buying that phone to finally get away from touchwiz
samsung is awesome then there is touchwiz 😂😂
+Elias Khan ikr
How was the screen in direct sunlight? Dim or bright?
This only needs a 5.5 inch model.
does the HTC 10 have manual focus like LGv10?
HTC 10 plus? htc 10 max? please? :) 5.5 or 5.7
thanks htc. hook it up.
hopefully we get this with HTC Nexus
hey does the front facing camera have auto focus?
I think ill get the S7 Edge . That phone just won we over this year. Cause i am an apple fanboy but the S7 Edge is a gift from heaven😗😚😚
we honestly don't give a fuckin fuck
Excuse me because I don't know the term but when you zoom in after taking a picture with the M10 and its fuzzy can that be fixed with a software update?
Samsung Is King
HTC is queen..
Now try to choose
samsung is queen because it has curves
+Zain Hussain Genius
+Zain Hussain Genius
+Anish Kumar Oliver Queen?
Thanks mate
On previous HTC One flagships, the notification light was only green or red, but does the HTC 10 notification light change color based on the notification? (this is an important feature for me)
Is that the 5 or 405 fwy in the background?
I have to say, this is one of the best reviews i have seen. Not only is HTC my favorite brand. But the editing, photography, tone, background music, pace and time of the video rocks. Awesome work guys!
+luis minervino that's a really nice thing to say, thank you!
this is what i like about john, he makes Reviews funny and fun to watch. Great Job john :)
+iDeviceHelp thank you!
I got a question for anybody that's used a recent htc device, do they still use the zoe feature? +Brandon Johnson yup. Still there.
+TechnoBuffalo Thanks, good to know.
Thanks! Can it record Hi-Res audio but just audio? through the HTC recorder software? or it's recording normal audio? thanks
wondering if htc gallery app is availabe on htc 10. from what i understand, google photos app replaces the gallery app on htc.
will i be able to download it if its not pre installed?
Are you using a drone for those overhead shots?
What is AirPlay? I haven't heard of that.....
Apple's equivalent to Google Cast.
Great review (as always)! I'm not sure if this is the phone for me because I'm still using the HTC M7 roll-out model (the model in which the sensor in the camera heats up and causes a purple hue around the edges of the shot) and am looking for a different experience with Android (more than likely the S7 Edge).
On a side note, just wanted to say great job to the whole TechnoBuffalo team for making another awesome vid!!
should i wait for the note 6 or i should just pick up the m10?
Jon whats ur daily driver? What have you been using off late?
It's amazing how you guys are able to remain a leader in this space. I love the way you continue to evolve and grow for the better. Keep up the great work Jon and the Technobuffalo staff.
+Australia Graves Appreciate the kind words. Thanks!

what drone are you using for your videos?
+Austin.WTF phantom 4
Wait, is the home button just a touch button? Or can you actually press it in? Also, can you still use on screen button?
It's just a touch button, it's not clickable
What's the name of the background music that's on this video....? anyone know...? thanks
is the photo camera better then the note 5?
+folalde boxing Yes Ofcourse! Because its Camera is on par with Samsung Galaxy S7
+Wajdan Khan ok, I guess HTC is back on business
I will have to say that I will have to see one up close. I dont know how I feel about the chaffered edges, however slap on a case and I know I wont notice them. I will also have to compare the phone up with my Samsung s7 camera and see how it stacks up.
Also I know the HTC has a capacitive home button/fingerprint scanner. I wonder if it has the LG feature where you it will just unlock straight to the homescreen by touching it. Also if you end up putting a third party launcher on it will it disable that feature and the fingerprint scanner all together like it does on the G5?
yep, you can unlock straight from sleep with no problem apparently. Im not sure about working with another launcher however.
Best review you have ever done Jon, thanks for keeping an open mind towards this phone and it's features.
+Justin E I appreciate that Justin, thank you.
Love the video format! Keep making more like these especially with the added humor :)
Great review +TechnoBuffalo But Is it worth waiting for or would you guys pick up a galaxy s7 edge instead?
is it coming around may?
+DnFG yes
Question... How many colours are there for the htc 10? I've seen the gold one with white front, the silver one again with a white front and a black one with a black front... Does anyone know if there's a silver back and black front like in this video? Or is it the light make it look like silver?
+John Balas its on their website
+Cleveland Hayes no it's not because in europe we get the glossy white front instead of the black...
+John Balas oh damn I thought you were stateside
I wish manufacturers didn't screw us up so badly... Not that's a big deal but this market fragmentation thing is getting on my nerves lately...
WHY CAN'T I GET THE BLACK FRONT ON THE GLACIER SILVER IN THE UK :(
and my network won't be stocking it so I have to buy it unlocked, why so many odd issues.
I have preordered one from the HTC store, the front looks like an iPhone, I would like to ask you how is the screen quality? Is it on par with the iPhone 6s? Is it responsive like an iPhone?
I'm planning to buy the htc 10 but I wanted to ask something : Will I be able to download htc apps such as the music player or the mail app ?
yep , they're still on Google play
All of them ? Because I don't find the music player on google play when I'm using my htc one m7
I'm planning on picking this up soon.it definitely seems like a step up from the m9
+Noel Crenshaw You'll like it.
Interesting to see that your channel and Verge are uploading this review at almost the same time, and has a 180 degree opinion in this review.
Thank You.. buying it as soon as it releases in India
should i upgrade from galaxy s6 edge +
Hey John! Great review!
Can you tell me what is the slowest available shutter speed in the pro mode?
+Anurag Soni Looks like it's two seconds.
***** Thanks! I saw it in the video but thought it could go much below that. Long exposure photography isn't sadly possible with this device.
Everything seems great so far...except the fact that the HTC Thailand seems rarely active about such great devices on the global market!
does it have some splash resistance?
ip53
+juice Brenner and why no one says that?
love the new format and editing of these videos
Great review. Definitely a comeback. I was using the One, M7 and now M9. The 10 is a great upgrade. The perfect number for a perfect comeback. Wish we can get it soon.
would you recommend the HTC 10 or the Moto xpure
HTC 10, definitely
+Mel Hyde Depend but the Pure has a killer camera also and faster updates. Also the software is amazing and pure stock..Had 6.0.1 since December 10
+Mel Hyde also has the loudest FFS
Could you do a comparison with the 10 and the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge
Yes
+Navin Chandradat Coming next week!
I had the M8. Then the M9. And have always been loyal. Yesterday I was so close to switching to an iPhone. And that's tough! The camera is the most important thing to me. Do you really think this on par with the Samsung's and iPhone's of the world?
I have a HTC one m8 right now should I buy the htc 10 or Nexus 6p or wait till October for the new Nexus???
htc 10 is perfect phone
+Jonathan Echevarria OK thanks man
HTC is an amazing hardware manufacturer, if they made another tablet it would be the ultimate media device, even more so with a 4K variant.
Does it support double tap to wake?
Yes it does
+Luyolo Dangazela
Awesome... any chance you could provide us with low light video?
I mean in a not so well lit room... :)
IF possible, then that would be super, thanks in advance
You've got a winning formula here htc, just make sure the audio performs well, the battery is enough to get through a day and the camera isn't trash and you're back in the running for me. So far this looks like my new phone to be.
how much does it cost?
I would love to know with all the different launchers on android how much does the accessibility differ between them? e/g s7 edge to a g5 and htc 10. As a vision impaired tech user i know i can grab any iphone or ipad and the accessibility is almost identical depending on ios version but the main basics are the same. I would love to jump to the dark side and try out all the android goodness it is just quite different.
Accessibility features are mostly consistent across Skins.
Great review. Fast paced well edited and straight to the point.
I'm using the HTC One M8 now and I'm planning on getting a new phone soon. Should I get the Nexus 6P or the HTC 10? I love HTC but the thing that irritates me the most is the software updates.
Buy unlocked from HTC. The A9 was updated in two weeks. They are the fastest for software updates behind Google.
Gotta to love your new video style and humor. It works. The review is cool and chill. :DD
+Invisyble Much appreciated, thank you!
Does this have adoptable storage? If so, can you choose not to use it? I like to get my micro sd card out and still be able to use it if I need to.
Somebody explain me the 24-bit dac?
it up scales the audio by roughly 70%.
+Mark Mustafa yeah I guess your right, thts why I go to swappa.com some people ship international and some dont, I can get an unlocked 10 for $505
TB is the only tech site I've seen so far that praises the HTC 10 camera. Most tech sites said it's the best of HTC to date, but still behind other flagships.
+Minh Pham different opinions I guess.
First time I really noticed: your videography is really incredible!
r u going to do a review on the Xperia x performance
how much is the htc 10 unlocked?
Aside from their focus on camera and sound quality, the adoptive storage is what is pulling me to this phone more than any other.
And the award for the phone with the biggest chamfered edges goes to...
Looks like a great phone. Haven't had an HTC in forever but I'm still going to go with the S7 Edge or Note 6. Glad for HTC though.
What is its comparison with Huawei Nexus 6P?
