    I’m not a vegan, but I love trying different foods so every time I have an opportunity to try a different vegan burger or plant based burger I take the opportunity. I’ve tried some at really good vegan restaurants, I’ve tried the beyond burger and the impossible burger and I’ve tried several different vegan burgers that vegan friends of mine have made, almost all of them were good, some were excellent. But there wasn’t a single case where I wasn’t able to tell that it wasn’t a real burger.

    • @beebuzz959
      @beebuzz959 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes sense to me. I've gotten to a point that real meat disgusts me, but not vegan. So I get it. But it's getting close, and there are better meat burgers and worse ones. And I wonder if you were led to believe a close burger was real, if it could fool you then. I'm not arguing you or anything, this is just a thought.

    @Sauce Stache , to keep mine juicy, I typically just mix in minced onion, about half a yellow onion to 8oz Impossible or Beyond, to make four. I also did my dad's "teriyaki burgers," where he added dried onion flakes, soy sauce, and cooked white rice (about 2Tbsp per burger). Both add-ins keep it moist. My husband normally hates rice ("it looks like maggots"), but loved this. Dad used to throw the real meat version on the grill, over charcoal, so I also added a touch of liquid smoke. Sometimes, he would also slather them in barbecue sauce, and allow that to caramelise. I haven't done that, since I prefer the plain, with cheeze. Now, if only the cheeze tasted better, had protein, would brown, and didn't leave that weird film on my teeth... 🙄 Adding in fresh minced onion makes them taste kind of like White Castle or Crystal burgers, but if they were making them from quality meat, rather than canned dogfood. Cheers!

    I'm liking the style of the video, but the sound seems to fast to me. Otherwise great!! Can't wait to see the rest (I just paused for this constructive comment)

    I'm not even vegan, I only have one friend that is. But for some reason youtube sugested me one of your videos a week ago and I've veen watching you since. I think it would be cool to see guga trying it out, and even having a take in it. yeah its a weird idea a collab or just friendly response/mention videos between meat-loving channel and a vegan channel but I would like to see that

    This is going to sound out of line but you should try making a burger but put thin lines of flavored fat like a croissant. I think it would give a closer fat to bite profile then regular vegan burgers
