My goals are going to sleep earlier, eating more healthy, get my abs and muscles back and do more cardio exercise. I also want to work on my posture and be more confident.
      I’m hopeful I’ll achieve these.😊

ive been reading this book called “mindset” by carol s. dweck, and it talks about the fixed mindset (where one believes their talents/intelligence are fixed) and the growth mindset (where one believes they can change and grow their talents with effort). its a really good book and this video reminded me of it because we all aren’t born with amazing or perfect skills, we have to work hard at them to get better. everything is really about mindset and the willingness to learn and grow. this year i hope we can all achieve our goals! thank you zoe, you are so inspiring

I developed this sort of “consistency” mindset for real the past year and it’s been really life changing. I too gained some weight in uni (20lbs), and my goal was to just lose 1 lb a month… and hey it’s been almost a year and I’m down 14 lbs. the goal almost seemed so easy so it felt like I could achieve it. And along the way I’ve built so many positive habits for my physical and mental health (journaling, long walks, working out multiple times a week, eating more fruits and veg, etc). Thank you for all the work you put into these videos! I’ve been loving the addition of the Ted talks!💛💛

i literally cried the moment it turned 1st of january 2022. And this had been my second new year where I cried myself to sleep. There is so many subliminal messages out there that your life has to be amazing. For people like me, new years bring a sense of anxiety instead of hope. And that is because I let myself believe that if I don't have the amazing life everyone is wishing to have, then I'm a failur and it's on me. This video really help calm me down, Thanks zoe

I’ve been raised to believe that I needed to be extraordinary, especially by my mother. Since I’ve always had health problems, she always said that I needed to be particularly clever, and be better than everyone, like skipping grades. She always compared me to the other children who were better at this and that, scolding me whenever I didn’t have the results she wanted. I poured my soul into studying. Of course, I never skipped a grade, and before long, having these perfect scores didn’t matter anymore, I wasn’t praised anymore, because I "was supposed to achieve them from the beginning" even though I worked really hard.
Years later, high school. I wanted to become a physicist. I was particularly insecure about it and tried to hide it. One of my professors saw through that and gave me the push I needed. When I informed my mother about my college choices, she was really mad. Telling me I wasn’t a genius, that I couldn’t achieve anything extraordinary and that I wasn’t worthy. That I could never do it.
Years later, end of college. I’m in my final year of college right now. I’ve obtained a thesis for next year in nuclear physics.
I’m still ordinary, as I was born that way. I don’t think I became extraordinary or that my grades are excellent. But my dream is now within my reach. After years of agonizing, feeling unworthy and guilty of not being enough. Being ordinary or not doesn’t matter. It doesn’t make you unworthy. If you take it step by step, you might achieve your dreams, extraordinary or not.
Of course, there is always uncertainty, and you might feel that if you were born way more talented it could have been better - I’ve felt that and I still feel it.
We’re all ordinary but unique, except a few individuals. And that’s okay. It’s not something to be ashamed of.

  • @rosemarionnaud2027

Zoe, you're such both an inspiration and someone who puts me back on my tracks. I am ordinary but I'm already extraordinary for me, on my standards, and it's quite enough. I have been really stressed this week about exams completely f*cked up (we had a very very lot to know and didn't know what to expect and for one of the exams, well pretty much everyone failed, thank you teacher 🥰) and I had my first stressed-eating, and I was very tired, but now, I'm going to get back on waking up early, sleeping well, eating well and being motivated to do my sport, my walk, my dance, my whatever, because I am ordinarily extraordinary and every step counts. See you next week Zoe, and thank you again ❤️💪

This video made me wanna cry at just five minutes in. I’ve sat for countless hours orchestrating countless ideas of how I’m going to be at the top of the things I wanna achieve. Ive been nothing but a windmill of ideas (with no long term plan). I’ve only recently let go of the thought that I’m super special and am still struggling to just be myself without comparison but this video has really helped me put even more into perspective.
I’m slowly but surely crushing my delusions of grandeur and this has helped me even more. It’s hard to start at zero when you want the results people get from 100 so bad! Especially when we get online everyday and see others who are at the top because the algorithm never showed us their climb, just the heights they’ve reached.
I’m now learning to step. Thank you.

If u stop growing and not learning new things to survive u suffer till the point u r made to grow . At last u need to grow . Same thing goes for the hard works . U cant avoid it , u suffer when u run away to the point when u have to do it . And u finally learn that extra suffering is not worth it . Running away suffering is bot worth it , but the actual sufferinv of growth is worth it

I think we as people mix up being extraordinary and the need for some adventure.. nobody has to become the most special someone but we associate the rich/famous with exciting lives..and we forget that adventures are not to be forgotten even when we are not considering ourselves as extraordinary..we need fun and an actual life and this is what seems to be missing a lot in our generation

13:48 ...I can't, I can't control anything on my life, not bc me.Sounds egoist right? It isn't, I plan my days, I keep myself motivated but I'm starting something and suddenly my family says: ''Ur going to do it now? Don't do it we gonna go _______ in a minutes '' And I always get stressed. ''Enjoy the place u will go'' ur probably thinking, I can't, no matter if I love that place, If they had told me in advance that we were going to go I will enjoy it, I want enjoy things, but sometimes i can't.
That's just an example, things like that happen to me thousend times a day, I Ican't do anything, I can't plan my days I can control my life.
I remeber a day that I was crying bc of it and my mother asked what was wrong with me, I didn't hold back, I began to explain the unconscious way in which they wouldn't let me do things, they did not notice it or know it, they didn't realize it, my mother said she does not do that and I gave her examples, I don't remember her reaction, but I want to do that again, but I don't know how.

The reason I used to procrastinate was because I was overwhelmed by the future. So I was a high school senior for the year 2020 and the beginning of 2021 and because of the lockdown I didn’t study at all and all my notes were incomplete. When the trial exams were near I remember breaking down cause I hadn’t learned shit and calling my parents ( from boarding school) telling them how panicked I was. But soon I stopped panicking and picked up my books and started studying page by page. Thanks to that I got higher grades than most of my peers who used to be better than me tho I flunked maths cause I had no time to practice and simply gave up✨
So this is to anyone who is looking for a sign, you can do it !! ( though I suggest you don’t do it in the last minute like me)
Best of luck to me too so that I can work out

I've been watching alot of your videos lately. Thank you for all the great content! It really helped strengthen my thoughts, ideas and principles about progress and success. I'm on my own journey of accepance for the ordinary, the small steps and mistakes, the slow but steady progress. Currently I'm fixating a new principle in my life, which also goes along with habit-building and consistency: 10 minutes a day is better than nothing at all. This came to me because over the last year(s) I've lost my motivation to practise regularly (I play violin as a hobby), because I used to practise around two to three hours a day and expected me to keep this schedule up while going to university. But that did not work, I had neither the energy nor the time for two consequitve hours of practice a day, often not even one. It would feel overwhealming and - like all professional procrastinators - I ended up not practising at all for lots and lots of months, leaving me disappointed in myself. Accepting that I do not need to go out of the ordinary with practising, that half an hour or even just 10 minutes a day are enough, is the mindset I am aiming for. Because that is better than doing nothing at all.
Many thanks again, I am really enjoying your videos! Greetings from Germany 🙂

Hi Zoe :) I'm a freshman in high school, and I want to improve my weight. I've been very inspired by your weight loss videos, but when I start my workouts, I suddenly have no energy. I blame it on bad metabolism, but it's truly just me. I want to be healthier (I've been eating that way), but I always get so put down and therefore procrastinate. Do you have any thoughts or advice for me? (P.S. I really really love your videos. You have become a big part of my life. Thank you for you

Hi! From my experience (and another Zoe video) I can say that the weight loss can not be the only objective, but rather, be healthy in general. I think it's normal to begin slow, do not try the hardest workouts at first. Start small and add up little by little (this video says so) for example, if you can't run more than 5 minutes, then don't. Run 5, rest 5, run 5 (for half an hour or less) and then in some months you'll be running one hour with ease. You won't see results right away, but they show and they stay. Love

Some things that might help is taking vitamins and getting plenty of nutrients,(not necessarily junk food) and also doing workouts in a group or sport, which motivates me more than when I’m at home working out. (You may already be doing these things, I don’t know)
