Have really come to love this guy.
He can sing the same song 20 times and every time it'll just be a little different and have that little something that the previous version didn't have.
You hear about people putting their feelings into songs and often that just means they're singing as loud as they can :-)
Not often you hear just the little thoughts, giggles, sighs during a song that just means a guy is maybe remembering something new and sharing it.

Agreed......really don't know much of his studio records, although I did get "Devil You Know" CD when it was released years back. Utube has let me truly enjoy Todd cause there are many live performances on here. The hippie story teller is one of my few go to music men when I need that therapy that music gives us. I've been a huge fan of Todd's since the mid 90s when a Radio station here in Australia had Songs for the Daily Planet as the feature album of the week. I went in and ordered the Album from my local music shop as they weren't stocking it. I really played that album a lot, was one of my favourite albums ever. It wasn't till the Internet came to Australia and I got a computer that I really started to find more of his music and I really became a fan, Now all these performances on TH-cam, he's just about my Favourite artist now.

Years ago, a reviewer in The Globe and Mail featured reviews of both Springsteen & Snider; in my mind, Snider's protest music is so much better than Springsteen's. In the liner notes of "East Nashville Blues,:" he wrote"I'm so liberal I love conservatives." Springsteen basically asks for your Democratic membership card before he deems you worthy of being sung to. Does he realize when he plays Canada that most of us can't vote Democrat even if we wanted to?
I'm a conservative and love Todd and always have, Like he says I'm not here to change your mind about anything...I'm here to ease my own mind about everything....it works everytime! I can understand the left as I used to think that way, I don't mind being hidden deep the midst of liberals as they have more in common with me than they think. Springsteen is just not as talented as Todd and cant relate to many people IMHO.
