I just found your channel and I’m so happy I did. Currently watching mostly older videos and adding a fair amount of new books to my to read list. Thank you, Tanya! ❤
Hello Tanya, so good to see you again with a video like that. I think its totally fine when you don't pressure yourself to make videos. It is supposed to be fun.
I bought Orhan’s Istanbul in Istanbul while on vacation. Omg how I love that city! Visited twice and would love to go again. You don’t get bored of that beautiful city. However I’m Arab and they for some reason don’t like us going there 🥲 I cant wait to read the book.
Hello again, Tanya. It’s good to see you again and in time to think about Victober. The Victorian classic I read earlier this year was _Barchester Towers_ by Anthony Trollope. I had the book since Christmas 1990 and never started reading it until Steve Donoghue began a chapter by chapter read-along with commentary on his channel. I would read each chapter, then watch his video. It was really fun. For Victober, I might read some H.G. Wells.
Hello! Watching u from the work laptop as well, but wanted to come here and say: welcome backkkkkkkk, I am so happy you are back, honestly missed you! 🤗🤗🤗
Hi Tanya, it's great to have you back! We were missing you. I very much enjoy your recommendations, especially in Russian literature. Greetings from Cambridge!
About that Priest: Can you get your hands on an english translastion and tell us if it is a good one? If the style is diffrent or the quality of the translation is a little off? In the last 7 months I have read Edgar Allan Poe - The Raven (Pop-up), George Orwell - Animal Farm, L. Frank Baum - The wizzard of Oz, a book by the ukrainian author Gogol with 8 of his short storys and 5 other books about Ukraine. Currently I'm reading "Die Insel der tausend Leuchttürme", the newest release by Walter Moers. The best writer we have. His Fantasy books may look like made for older children, but ... not only. He can be read at any age, with large enjoyment. That's only one of the many talents this guy has. Of course his book directly jumped in the Top 5 on our bestselling list.
I look forward to your video on St. Luke The Blessed Surgeon! I’ve been interested in reading books on him for a while now but I just don’t know where to begin. I have a chronic illness and a strong history of cancer in my family so the doctors and unmercenaries of the church are dear to me. I always love learning more about them. Like for the past few months I’ve been collecting and reading the works of St. Nektarios of Aegina, I’m reading his Theotokarion right now and its so beautiful. If you haven’t watch it yet, the biopic about St. Nektarios called Man of God is great. I’ve watched it several times and it still makes me cry.
