thoughts about sweatshirt i think sweatshirt is extra special to me because it’s so literal and pure. it’s deadass saying “u could probably try but u would not understand me”. like that is something i have felt my ENTIRE life. i’ve always been that kid who can sit in their room for hours upon hours and simply get lost in an imaginary world, so writing the chorus “sometimes i close my eyes and dream you see the world like me, but then i wake up bring myself back to reality” was something i’ve been trying to say forever. it’s literally saying “i wish you could see inside my thoughts, everything would make sooo much more sense”. i wrote this in the middle of a super dark period. i vividly remember being at the beach on a foggy day in malibu feeling super, super anxious and sad. i was wearing a black sweatshirt and kind of tucked my head down into the sweatshirt, i guess trying to block out the world. so it was actually inside my sweatshirt where i thought of the entire song. i voice memo’d “i find a place inside my sweatshirt that beats all reality”. i wrote this entire song in one voice memo / stream of thought. i barely changed anything from the original idea. to me, this song really speaks for itself, but i want u to have your own experience with it. love u sm, london ✨

This is a really good song I was like this in elementary when I used get bullied or left out of people I'd feel like going to my own place cause when this world sucks you make your own so I'd tuck myself into this really special sweater to me it was also black it had a 69 or it with glittered numbers on it so yeah that sweater when I lost it kinda lost my way back to my world kinda sounds weird but that's how I felt about it I just really thought I'd lose myself I did all 7th and 8th I'm still kinda lost so yeah but not as much I'm better than anytime I've been really rough life right now so I cope with it by remembering I got a lot to live for out of all the piles of bad things I still got 1 or 2 or 3 reasons I'm good I don't need any more .It's gonna get better no matter what .
