    Nice review. Curious if you ever use a black pro-mist or similar (such as the the Moment Cine Bloom filters) and how these lenses would look in combo?

    this is the best review on this lens I've seen. Others were done by people that didn't shoot well with them. Great Job. i just purchased all three before looking at this. I wish I clicked your link first.

      Truly appreciate the kind words!!! We really took a lot of time shooting with these lenses, even on real paid jobs. We tested them and played a ton!
      The 35 and 55 review is dropping this week.
      Well, you can click my link if Sirui drops a wider 15/16mm and maybe a more telephoto 75 or 85mm lens 😉

    Your real world test images looked really nice. Did you find yourself using T1.2 much, or were your stoping down a bit.

      Thank you!
      I did shoot this all at T1.2 and T1.4 just to obviously push the lens. I feel that showing a lens wide open is showing its weakness which is a fair review.
      When I shoot with it for paid jobs, I definitely shoot around T1.5 not just because of picture quality, but because even T1.5 on MFT has an insanely shallow depth of field. I happily even shoot at T2 and the picture quality is absolutely beautiful!

    I don't mind the imperfections, and softness on certain T-Stops. And a little bit of distortion.

    Great video. Does the indie gogo campaign deliver to South Africa with these night Walker Cine lenses if I purchase it there ?

    • @RICH_Photography
      @RICH_Photography  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you! I don't think Indiegogo does any delivering anywhere...Sirui does all the shipping and delivery so it should definitely come to SA.

      @@RICH_Photography thank you for the reply sir.
      I have a question.
      Let’s say I shoot a short film and decide to use Sirui anamorphic lenses is it a rule to always shoot with anamorphic lenses throughout a production or can one also use the night walker Cine lenses ? Just wondering about the anamorphic black bars. What would you recommend sir?

    • @RICH_Photography
      @RICH_Photography  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The thing is with Anamorphic is you technically getting a very different angle of view.
      You will get say 75mm top to bottom focal range, but 50mm left to right.
      Once you take a normal spherical lens, like the Night Walkers, you will actually CHOP out footage from the top and bottom to make it fit the aspect ratio of anamorphic rather than gaining lateral focal range like anamorphic.

    • @ReviewBru
      @ReviewBru 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@RICH_Photography thank you for taking the time to answer. I get you, it will obviously give you a different look and all.
      I'm guessing once could film certain shots with anamorphic and others with spherical lenses. one would just need to keep the anamorphic bars consistent even with the spherical lenses footage. think this could work?

    • @RICH_Photography
      @RICH_Photography  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That could definitely work. The "anamorphic bars" are actually not bars.
      So usually when you make a video it's say 1920 x 1080 (the 16:9) aspect ratio.
      When it's anamorphic depending on the squeeze could be 1920 x 780 giving you a wider aspect ratio, the "bars" are only visible when put on a 16:9 display and the black bars are the lack of data.
      What's cool with loading spherical footage into that type of project, would allow you to adjust your footage up and down and having reframing abilities.

    • @RICH_Photography
      @RICH_Photography  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What a tough choice...I think a lot of brand preference will happen here.
      There's pros and cons to both and I will make a review comparing them both.
      But remember, shooting at T1.2 has an insanely shallow depth of field, probably around F1
      So you would generally shoot it at T1.5 anyway.
      My honest opinion, the winner out of these 2 will probably be the first manufacturer to make a 12mm or 16mm variant.
