I think Solar’s pretty ballsy to try new things that would put her up on the chopping block. With her jam-packed schedule, I’m impressed she actually pulled this off. Even if she doesn’t end up perfecting it, just for trying her best and putting herself out there, open for criticism/starting conversations on taboo topics…my respect for her is sky high.

Btw this isn't the title track (she wanted it to be but her ceo told her to go for other song) by those standards she definitely REALLY GOOD. Also you chose the one stage that Solar requested everyone to forget 😭as it had so many malfunctions from heavy wig blinding her to fan to ear piece tangled so much so she ripped her actual hair out. Colors was written and composed by SOLAR solely, everything about the concept from clothes to location to bringing House of Love to center stage was her idea to bring about acceptance and highlight the queer community in a conservative korea VERY DIRECTLY AND UPFRONT. During the promotion of the album she constantly spoke about it,brought the dancers to NATIONAL TELEVISION (1ST TIME) and was met with rage, homophobia and majority kpop stans claiming her as a queer baiter and using queer community as "props" when infact she wrote this in 2022 with queer community in mind. This isn't the first time she's been active in the community, she's been working in support for queer since 2016. The song is FIRST FULL VOGUING CHOREOGRAPHY IN KPOP as stated by Mother Ran the Choreographer herself. This fact wasn't digested by some so they started demeaning Solar's dance skills calling her a "noguer" and that she should stop making fun of the community especially on twittr .She practices her best and her skills been recognised by the choreographer herself.She's definitely a REALLY GOOD dancer and loves to take on new challenges as she's learnt pole dancing, belly dancing apart from regular choreos. Ps- Colors influenced the kpop industry to bring the "house" genre as a trend so much so big corporations like Hybe did a similar concept for their girl group and more are following the suit but the song still remains the most vivid and straightforward irt Voguing & House edm.
Solar isn’t the greatest or most natural dancer, but I’ve always really respected how hard she goes in spite of it which I think goes a long way to covering it up. And even greater respect for highlighting a queer Kiki house on a national platform.
I think we should stop downgrading Solar's skills when it comes to dancing. She definitely is a really good dancer if not the best as she owns regular choreographies very easily. Even for Voguing, the community actually says she was head to head with dancers, let alone that she aced pole dancing and even belly dancing.
I am a bit disappointed that you took show Champion (the pink attire) clip of colors when Solar was super bummed about it due to the hair coming over her eyes (malfunction) and requested fans to not talk about the stage cause she couldn't perform her best due to visibility and in frustration even ripped her actual hair out whilst removing the ear piece. This stage wasn't pre recorded and it was all live which means she couldn't redo it.
