  • Complete instructions to replace pulleys, belt and cable.
Our 4 year old Husqvarna mower needed some work. The cable that activates the wheels broke. When we started working on it we discovered that the pulleys and the belt were in need of repair as well. We have used this mower on our farm for 4 years and it’s back in business.
Please check the part description. I have updated the links as parts supplies change. But I can’t guarantee the parts have not changed

Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

I did it! I changed the blade and put the belt back on (it was hanging off the pulley). The mower was self-propelling great when I first bought it and noticed it was getting harder to push. I searched youtube for a detailed video and I found yours. Thank you!

That was no mouse nest. These mowers do not have a great belt relay or grass clipping flow design. The belt basically transports and deposits debris around the transmission pulleys. It's HIGHLY advisable to clean out under the plastic top cover and bottom shroud after every mowing season.

I own this very mower and today my belt pulley broke off. When I cleaned underneath it I pulled out about 5 lb of hay wet grass and nastiness. You are exactly right there is no protection for these belts It is one of the worst designs I have ever seen in my life and I've been mowing lawn since I was 7 years old. I take care of this mower I try to keep it clean but you have to literally flip it upside down to clean it every time. Design flaw from the very beginning I'm going to try to fix it but I'm a little pissed right now😂

I have this mower. Needs this done. I already had it disassembled. Then when I was ordering parts, there were options for belt sizes. I couldnt source out the part number I needed. So I came here. I had to slow down frame rate to 0.25 and zoom in. But the belt clearly had the part number. Finally.

My pulleys were seized up as well. 2 of them I was able to spray with JB Blaster and they freed up pretty easily and turn fine. The third took some soaking and still had to run a plastic punch thru the center, put it in a vice and turn the pulley to free it up. Then put the pulley in the vice and put a cordless drill onto the plastic punch and ran the drill both ways until it was fully freed up. Your video was awesome as well as your beautiful property!

Great video and really showed the workings so I could understand what I needed to do. If you're like me though in Charleston the heat index is about 115 outside and way to hot to spend a couple hours doing this. What I did was check and replace the 3 center pulleys and replaced the cable that goes to the handle, took me about 10 minutes and fixed my issue until I can deal with belt replacement this fall when its cooler.

After watching and getting over the initial shock of how much has to be taken apart, lol , it,s not as bad as R+R rebuild a V-8 engine! To be safe you should remove and isolate the spark plug wire. Manufacture says empty and run out gas from carburetor. I,m going to check all associated moving parts for proper condition before I purchase the parts I need.

Awesome video!! You don't have to take that grey front cover off though. Remove the long bolt from the front transmission and the bolt behind the front wheel that holds the transmission steady. If you pull the transmission just slightly towards yourself, you can slide the belt over the pulley. Then you just put the guide bolt back through the transmission to hold the belt in place. Then replace the bolt behind the wheel.

Funny you say that... I bought mine solely to beat the dogshit out of it as my new yard was 1/2 woods.. 4yrs into it and I've replaced the filter, spark plug, rebuilt the carb and the belt just wore out.. 10 out of 10 product.. I kick the shit out of it.. lol But I do clean it after every use and I'm in Florida so 12months of use.

What size is the lawnmower blade's bolt (13:07)?
PDF part manual only provides part number.

Good video but you need more light to show all of the parts by the back wheels.

That one bolt, holding the shroud on, that you can't get to cause it's behind the transmission? Take the wheel off, pop the snap ring off, take off the pinion and pawl. The axel will fall out of the way. Oooh and great vid. Thanks for posting.
