@GH0STST4RSCR34M those tests you claim test differently and test way out of spec with the way the manufacturer's test them. They are doing a tougher test to see how the phone will stand up to a human who slams the phone shut or gets it wet and folds it or use it in hot weather and fold it. Yes, they did tests folding the phone while being in a 60*C hotbox and while submerged in water. They even did a mill-spec test, which was never done by samsung to their folding phones. They basically abused the phones, and if one lasts longer than another, then you know it's made better than the other. Nothing fake about it or whatever you claim.
Edit: about screen dying in different amounts of fold, no sh*t sherlock. Haven't you heard of defective products? No product is 100% perfect. Of the millions of folding phones Sammy has sold, you'll hear a handful of complaints, and it won't even reach 1% of the total units sold.

My main issue, as someone who plays games on my iPhone a lot on my commute, is my performance. There's a glitch that causes a games frame rates to cut in half when touching the screen, which is really distracting in racing games particularly. I really hope the 15 fixes it, because it makes the 14 Pro feels less powerful than an 11 Pro

    • @isaiahbalani

Enjoying my 14 pro max, upgraded from the 12 pro max, yeah the 14 pro max is heavier and bulkier..but so is every pro max version 😁 will hold off from the 15 series, and will upgrade to the 16 series once it comes out, you tend to notice iphones have some bugs both parts and software wise whenever they release a new model..and they tend to get it right every other model they release so, I will keep my tradition of every other model upgrade if I can or might as well hold on to my 14 promax till iphone 17 comes out, that's if my current iphone does not give me problems for the next 2 years, hopefully

Good review. I got my 14 Pro in December and my battery is still at 99%, so idk. But I agree that the dynamic island is another Touch Bar or 3D Touch Moment- super cool but never fully utilized. And for me, it still a bit too big. I’d like the regular iPhone to be smaller and then let the Max be bigger for the people that like that

For someone who travels and likes to buy affordable local smartphone service, I need to have a physical sim slot. The rest of the world hasn't jumped onto just using esims yet. Esim is great as a secondary option but when it's not available then it can suck. That's why iPhones sold out of the US have a sim slot still. I can only assume US is the test market for the esim only idea.

I had so many problems with my 14 pm after having the 12 pro max. After 5 months of missing calls or not being able to make calls, Apple replaced it but the issue continues. It all boiled down to the fact that the sim card in my 12 was still getting the calls but not the phone itself. Everything was going straight to vm. Wouldn’t even get text. I would reboot and it would be fine for a while then it would be a nightmare again. I like the physical sim.

I am facing a similar issue on my Galaxy A73. Actually, I was planning to invest in an iPhone after trading in my phone. The problem can arise from multiple issues as I understand, since this is not a case with all the units of the same model. There can be SIM tray issues (mine was stuck once while I was changing SIMs and I had to rely on the service center to correct it), or problems with the SIM card itself. One of my previous phones had a similar issue and after replacing the SIM with a new one, I didn't face the issue.

At this point, there's barely any point in going for iPhones. The only major thing they have going for them is iPhone to iPhone compatibility. But that's only because Apple is a crappy company and refuses to adopt the Industry standard, RCS, and to make things like FaceTime available on other platforms. Apple is trying to monopolize the smartphone space and it's pretty infuriating to see people criticize Androids for lack of iPhone compatibility even though Apple is the issue. Samsungs work with Motorolas and Pixels and OnePluses and all kinds of Androids but iPhones work with iPhones and iPhones only.

The 13 Pro Max which had an insane battery life, that needed to be charged once every 2-3 days, went to 1 per day charge sometimes even more.

Another major negative that is not mentioned is that the new 48 Mp pictures can only be saved using Apple proprietary format, which consumes tons of space. A single picture can take up to about 150 MB, depending on the complexity of the scene. This issue would not have existed had Apple offered the option to save using the much lighter HEIF format.

The overheating problem is horrible. I navigate and do ride sharing and it overheats like crazy and gets really slow and laggy. Also dont leave it in direct sunlight, like on your seat in your car, it will get very hot and not function. This doesnt happen with my S23 Ultra. I can leave it in the sun, which is in my passenger seat and it wont slow down at all even when its hard to touch. I really hope they fix the thermals on the 15.

  • @ExySmexy
    @ExySmexy 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

It's funny how many comparisons I am drawing to my S23. I turned off always on display since the S7 days, same reason as you. My S23 despite being insanely efficient just gets really dim outside when its hot. Esim is scary to set up, but for me it worked instantly. You mentioned how people may not buy the iPhone 15 due to price hikes and same features, and in the recent Apple financial report, they expected less demand as well. That's why they lost a lot of stock value recently.
I want to clear some stuff up about the battery, I see a lot of misconceptions and 90% of it isnt false or true. The biggest reason for degradation is amount of cycles a phone is charged, doubly so when it is in heat (almost throttling territory). Wireless charging causes more heat, but it doesnt matter (unless we're talking 5+ years) because its controlled and iPhone speeds are already poor. Same deal with wired. I have a feeling you charge overnight, and also sometimes in extreme heat which explains the loss. Of course thats still not normal even under those conditions, thats insane loss in 1 year. Could be a bug, or the lithium Apple is sourcing from just isn't up to par. Whatever it is, within 3 years you should NEVER notice large differences no matter how "wrong" you charge your device. Usually 85% of total capacity is the norm after 3 years. I'm gonna eventually write an article over this with proper evidence, but for now I guess take this comment for what it is.

@@TechDaily Yeah as I said maybe in 5 years you'll see a difference but you sure as hell won't before. After the S7 Note scandal every manufacturer started doubling down on battery protection, especially charge speed. So what you do is 100% normal, even on the Chinese androids with 65w charging. It's all calculated and tested in labs. A really good video on fast charging is one made by mrwhosetheboss.

I'm under the impression you enjoyed the iPhone 13 Pro more than this 😂
Lots of iPhone 14 Pro reviews recently have been showing up. Definitely glad to see this phone get attention than its Pro Max counterpart. Battery, unfortunately, was a common complaint I heard about this phone. Crazy how the Galaxy S23 Plus, which is the same price in the U.S, has much better battery and isn't even the "top of the line" like the Galaxy S23 Ultra but to me, it feels like that since it has everything you want that you ideally wouldn't use on the Ultra. Just my perspective, though. Anyway, the iPhone 14 Pro definitely is a solid device for sure, and I'm not even an Apple fan 😂

As a guy that has a love hate relationship with Apple, I don't like being trapped in the same phone and not having the ability to switch my sim card into any phone I want. I will say lately I'm more of an iPhone guy because in general it's more reliable than android. But Apple also should do more quality assurance on things like making sure esim works well and ensuring the battery health and battery life are stable. Because you shouldn't give over $1000 for a phone then having worry about battery life or it overheating. These days every phone manufacturer keeps upping the prices on their phones while giving us subpar devices that overheat and don't give stable battery life. And that's completely unacceptable.

The iPhone 14 Pro is my first apple phone. I remember being interested in it for its car crash safety feature and it’s cameras, but after having it for almost a year from using Samsung phones, the "honeymoon" phase has been long over and I’ve been generally disappointed with the experience. Besides aesthetics and some really good cameras, the user experience has been frustrating. I understand it’s more simple, not designed for extreme customization, but when it comes to simple things like typing and wanting to edit a word, why on earth do the devs think it’s better to tap on a word where you want to edit, only for the marker to be in front or behind the word itself. This sounds like a minuscule thing, but a thing as simple as pressing in the middle of the word to delete/ edit one letter only to have it go to the front and back and then I have to drag my finger across the word and place the marker where I originally wanted it has been absurdly frustrating. I use my phone for work and I type a lot so it’s an issue for me.
Overall I really miss Android and using Samsung phones. I enjoy the customization and the ability to edit every aspect of my display, and to be able to edit text messages easily. There’s more I could rant about but I’ll leave it here.
Once I pay off the phone I’m selling it or trading it in for a flagship Samsung device. I don’t think I’ll be going back to apple ever again, at least not for their phones.
