- We had a repairing video about how to fix the problem of Face ID set up failure by grinding the metal shield on the Face ID module before, but some fans left comments that grinding method would leave obvious traces on Face ID module, which is not good for repair shop recycling. Now we will solve this problem by using hot air gun and updated JC V1S machine.

Hi Dear, nice Video Thanks! i have a question, i have a this same problem (upper / lower) but after DOT test i get S,B,D,A abnormal but rest ist normal ( ICC, NTC ) what is the problem? and in dont see "Results" or "FUSED" message. Thank you so much
@@now6942 Hi, probably the power suply diode has been short-circuited, need use tin wire to connect it again. Pls check video from 2:35, connect it and test again.

@@Zenab_Anmol Face ID not working, depends on many possibilities on front camera module: Dot projector, Infrared Camera Flex, Flood illuminator etc, so we suggest you go to local shop and check what's the exact problem then fix it.
And for true tone problem, probably your screen isn't genuine, or the new screen wasn't copy&write genuine true tone data from old screen. Hope it helps.

No, it won't work, because data can't be burn in it by 3rd party except Apple itself, it wasn't designed for this. Have to use JC blank dot projector flex and its device.

I thought this would have been a simple repair like the True Tone , where you would copy and paste the data
Face ID problem is more complicated and more important than true tone, because it's about privacy and financial safety. But JC V1S launched the new dot projector board and upgraded its software, which make it easier to repair.
I've been doing board level repair for almost 20 years, but this one looks more complicated than brain surgery with so many things could go wrong. Yikes! lol Oh and fuq Apple!

@@Elekworld - Sure, anything is possible given enough time and money spent.
Unfortunately in certain countries you simply can't charge the customer enough to pay your techs doing a couple of hours of highly skilled jobs. :( It all comes down to a cost/benefit ratio. Apple has got us by our balls (as a metaphor lol).

Anyway, we can tell the repair price before customer decide to fix the problem or not, then maybe it's easier decision for both customer and us.

Why bridge the connection on the fuse instead of replacing it with a non-blown fuse?
Many reasons: 1- A tin wire has same function, 2- there isn't extra fuse to buy and use; 3- same cost and safe enough.

i have an issue with my Face id on iPhone X
the problem is it keeps saying (move your head a little higher/ position your face inside the square) but nothing happens after
i checked the 2 dots and they are there and working, i checked the flood illuminator by calling and the screen went black which means it's also working, i checked the portrait for the front camera and it also worked, everything in the phone works perfectly, but i should mention that the Display is Damaged and contains a green lines from the left side, could that be a reason for why the face id isn't working, or just my face id died and that's it?
The display screen have nothing to do with Face ID, so probably the dot projector or the sensor flex were damaged.
@@Elekworld oh, thanks for the reply, but i would like to add that i replaced the screen and in the process i noticed that some dust got into the phone on the face id components and everywhere so i gave it a little bit of cleaning, and Face ID works again

Hello, what a nice and helpful video you guys did here... I bought the machine and did the same as you guys did, but there is a problem is that when i add my face, and lock the phone it won't open to my face. So let me be clear... The thing is that at the beginnning it was giving a warning to get the phone lower and upper. right now everything looks great. Just that when i put my face and it says everything is complete . My face id restarts directly. So please if someone can help me with this or anything because i've tried several times. Thank you so much and i appreciate your help.

I have jcid also the extension of face id...but its not showing like u menu...do i need to update the firmware
Yes, make sure that two things have been settled. First, make sure your JCID V1S has been upgraded with the dot projector repair software. Second, make sure you have the new Dot project testing board.

@@valentinopaco The mosfet was short circuited so we have to make it again. And, the mosfet is bundled with iPhone one by one, you must use the genuine mosfet to resume the Dot project function.

I have a question please , i changed my iphone X batterie by another and i copied data from the old battery to the new battery but in settings it shows service . I did changed sn again with icopy in program on pc , i fixed it it shows the capacity but after few days the battery health shows service again in settings????? What should i do ?

@Elekworld i have iphone X normal not xs or xr. I dont have battery message warning. I Have service and( - - ) in battery health in settings after copying Sn from old battery. Because the JC did not copy just the SN it did copy the battery health status from the old battery also , how to fix this please .

I can’t write data on another dot matrix ☹️
I have 2 dot matrix for xs max
one of them fused the 2nd one perfect
but when i try to write the data the device say that its impossible to verify dot matrix material and burning! failed
The key point is that you have to use JC's Blank dot projector flex instead of original dot projector, because it can't be writing and burning data.

I am having a Querry
My face id is asking to move phone lower and higher.
But my Dot projector and flex cables are working fine.
We checked it on Flex cable data copying Device
Face Id status is normal.
Portrain mode is working Fine.
But still face id is not working
Hey Syed, pls check below two potential problems:
1- if the flood illuminater flex damaged or not;
2- check if all the portrait under natural light still workable.

@@syedomairrr One more possibilities: Need adjust the infrared camera location slightly higher or lower. You don't have to move infrared camera, just adjust the metal bracket which hold infrared camera higher or lower.
And pls note don't touch Dot projector camera when you doing this.
What will be cost for repair
If you have all other repair tools, you need just JC V1S programmer with truetone board + extra Dot projector board, totally about $63.

i don't get why theses videos . just have writing why would i look for a video on how to do something. if I wanted to just read something with pictures i would read an article or find some site on google, just bugs me... i came for a talk through not a read through
