I just started learning letter brush (also called leather brush) art a couple of months ago. I'm not sure what sort of paint he used, but at my company we use a mixture of tempera, ink, and water. The brushes are actually made of little strips of leather felt held together with a metal band and a rubber band (it looks like he used tape). Gotta admire this man's skill! It's a really tough learning curve with this art form and you can tell it's just natural to him at this point. Thanks for the video, David!
