Awesome - both the idea to support your local shop with your skills and the lettering itself :) I'm glad you added this splash - it felt a bit empty without it.
@Stefan Kunz a technical quesstion : when we handletter with markers or felt tip pens , the overlaps of strokes look really weird( dark patches in random places- just like you had light patches where chalkmarker overlapped) Paint markers felt like a solution , color pencils and procreate also seem the answer ..but are there any other art supplies or mediums you'd suggest that dont look weird on overlapping ? stuff looks terrible in photos , maybe its because i draw at very small scale and your stuff is kinda big so photos are taken from a distance , hiding them imperfections that only the artist really notices One more thing - any suggestion on how to make bigger pieces of art ?(anything over A4 sheet )
Hi @unitard, i'll try to answer and hope you'll see it. The dark and light patches really do make it hard to letter with chalk. The only other tool i use are my fingers do smudge it all together which works in the lighter parts. Somehow it also is the chalk look and can look really cool from a bit of a distance. Lettering on a larger scale will help with this too. Just sketch it out on paper and lightly transfer it to the chalkboard, as i did here. You'll do great!
@@StefanKunz thanks a lot for the reply, where can i tag/send you stuff to critique if possible ? not sure if it'd get seen in the chaos of spam you get all day
What type of that special spray you use for wiping the waterproof chalk pen? Your tips is gonna save my chalkboard. Lol. I’ve first tried a waterproof chalk pen and now its a hard time erasing it .

What do you use to clean the chalkboard??
Hi Chose! When using normal chalk water usually is enough but with chalk markers i use a chalkmarker cleaner by Securit that works really well.
