    "Durante la settimana lavoro tanto" - no matter how good your Italian accent may be, this phrase will immediately give you away as a foreigner. This phrase is impossible in Italian. There is no context in which you could possibly use it. It just never happens. You can't really say it in German either (but for a different reason - it just goes without saying in German). You might get away with saying it in English, perhaps also in French (but only as a joke), but in Italian, you just can't string those words together like that in Italian.

    • @beeitalian4086
      @beeitalian4086  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello Igor, thank you very much for your comment! The Italian sentence is correct, it means "during the week I work a lot/very much (a typo is in the English translation). As an Italian native speaker myself I'd love to explain how this sentence is built in Italian. The word "lavoro" can be confusing for foreigners because it can be both a verb and a noun depending on the context. Sometimes it means "job" and sometimes it means "I work". In this case it means "I work". Another way to put it is "durante la settimana io lavoro tanto". but we usually omit the subject pronoun "io" in Italian, so it's more natural to say "lavoro tanto".

    • @igorsmolovski
      @igorsmolovski ปีที่แล้ว

      @@beeitalian4086 I never said the sentence was incorrect grammatically. What I am saying is a sentence like that is impossible because it describes a situation that is not possible in Italian culture.

    • @austinnieli
      @austinnieli ปีที่แล้ว

      @igorsmolovski If you're privileged enough to believe that "working too much" is a cultural difference, perhaps your rich parents could pay for some Italian lessons more suited to your standards because that's the most loaded thing I've ever heard.
