    Been down that stretch of Autobahn and it had about 15-20 construction zones along the way. You want to hit this on a Sunday when heavy trucks are banned from the Autobahn.

    I like how you hammer the motorway! I need 8.50h with the Kia eSoul 160 Vmax. on that distance Muc-HH. Back in old days with the Audi A4 TDI it took me ca. 6h with one refill-stop driving 220 kmh when ever possible. You where not so far away and arrived probably more relaxed. Nowadays I need 2,5h longer but strangely enjoy driving so much more that I enjoy Trips to Sicily or Croatia driving 10-15h a day (traffic jam) 😜😂🤟🔥

    In the EV world a consumption of about 40 kWh/100km sounds terrible. But if you convert it to the energy equivalent of petrol fuel, that equals to a consumption of about 4 Litres/100km! Insane low!!

    • @travelguy78
      @travelguy78 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fuel consumption when driving fast increases quite a bit. I use typically five times as much energy pr kilometer when going 200km/hr compared to 80km/hr. Norway is a dream country for EV`s as the speed limit on most roads are 80km/hr

  • @BillB33525

    Lucky dog with the unrestricted segments so you can experience the top end for a while. I would be scared to go 150MPH at night, fearing a deer will come out of nowhere. 394 Wh/km is very low for driving that fast. Did you ever reset short term stats while driving 250Km to see what the consumption is at high speeds?

    Kris, 150 Kw or more, not 150kwhour. Kw hour is a measurement of how much energy is in the batteries.
    Kw, measurement is power it can take. Looks like you and Kyle had a lot of fun.

    • @KrisRifa
      @KrisRifa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Considering a Tesla would overheat after 20 minutes at this pace, so having to back off a little for about two minutes after almost 400km at full throttle, I would absolutely say this thing is made for the autobahn 🤩

      Why are you comparing against Tesla?
      You could have named other brands but you pick on Tesla!
      Maybe you don't like it because it's a USA made vehicle. The cost of the two cars are far apart by a large percent and yiu still call out Tesla. Not a good look 😕.

      @@davidws5439 well, Tesla Model S Plaid is a competitor to GT Etron and Taycan, so it`s just fair to compare them. It has nothing to do with where Teslas are made (Teslas are made in China, USA and soon Germany).

  • @KyleHubb
    @KyleHubb 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Kris doesn’t like how the Plaid Model S came and ripped the Nürburgring while the Taycan doesn’t even have an official record. 😂
    It’s okay Kris. The Model 3 wasn’t built to do that at that speed constantly, because it’s just a sporty affordable EV. However, the Plaid was designed for that.
    So, while you and Kyle Conner keep selling out for the VW Group, remember that the only reason why you get to drive these cars is because Tesla forced their hands to adapt.
