    Hi Chris, super video. Reagarding to charging : there should be a Plugsurfing charging card belonging to the car and you can charge at 0.35 € at every Ionity charger in europe. This price is valid since 01 july this year and is valid for at least 1 year. Regarding to the charging at the parking house you are charging with only 1 instead of 3 phases, that why it so slow.

  • @AWMI
    @AWMI 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video. Really useful to see the practicality of EVs on long trips. My only comment would be that for this to be really useful (both for the Polestar and any other cars you do similar trips with) you should really use charging membership and infrastructure that comes with that car. Using a Polestar with an E-Tron card is not something almost anyone else is going to be able to do. As a Polestar owner myself I really want to know how a long, cross continent trip is going to work with the membership and discounts that come with the Polestar, not an Audi! Other than that love the video, keep up the good work!

  • @Orbit353
    @Orbit353 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Did the charge speed improve? If not, do you have a three phase type-2 cable (cable should be marked 5G2.5, preferably even 5G6)? The car display showed that you received single phase charging only.

    I had the Polestar 2 fully loaded (minus performance pack, which i didn't want anyway) for 1 hour test drive. And they really nailed it, such a comfortable car! The 30-110 km/h sprint is quick. Audio is very good for the average buyer. But those seats, i could sit there for way longer. Truly a great GT-EV in my opinion and i would recommend anyone to test drive it if nothing else.
    Now i just need to wait for the test drive of Mach-E and Ioniq 5, and hopefully Xpeng P5 and P7 before i decide my next car.

In Australia you would also get a $1000 fine and 4 demerit points loss for using your mobile phone /camera while driving to add to your expenses. Perhaps consider mounting brackets. All the best. GH

    Hi, great channel and video, I am doing research in which car to pick, polestar or tesla model 3 and this maybe will help me a bit. I live in Sweden so this is awesome :). My first question. Tesla say they don't have a mandatory service except basic stuff like breaks every 2 years. How does Polestar adress this? I mean do they have more mandatory checkups for doing service of the car? I own a v70 today and know that when you own a newer traditional" car that if you have made service at "original service shop " Like volvo, that it is "worth something" in the end if you would want to sell the car in second hand. Eventually you would get more money of corse ....
    What is your opinion regarding the differences here of ownership between the two cars.

      Maybe because it was designed to be a Volvo by the previous head of design at Volvo, Max Missoni who is currently head of design at Polestar. A company that is a spinoff from Volvo?
      I've actually interviewed the Max in this video:

    Hm, although I really like your tests and videos and you are looking for content I wonder if environmental aspects should not play a part in here as well...? The best car is no car. The best drive is not to drive...

      And the most environmental thing you can do is to sit in a dark room, not eating, drinking or driving, just dying slowly.

      @@erathol Well, but that would be no fun... I just question somehow to where the TH-cam EV guys should drive to get some new information for us whatching their videos. Personally I do not think that these long trips will bring us any news. Using a car in daily routine showing daily struggles as an EV driver (charger issues, usability of the car when doing shopping, etc.) will educate us more. Just my thoughts though...

    Driving like an American, not knowing, in Europe you're supposed to drive on the rightmost lane and the left lane is for overtaking.

      First of, I do know how to drive in Europe since I am European. Second, for safety while filming I try not to change lanes, so I may be lingering in the left lane a second or two longer because of this. Third, I makes sure I am not blocking traffic from behind while filming these clips so it is okay to linger just those extra few seconds 😎
