Man if they made one with a real blade for less than a hundred then the Vision FG would actually have some competition for the coolest sub 100 knife. Still the coolest box cutter tho
I do wonder how much it can take before it needs replacement. I don't expect heavy duty work out of this, not because I think it can't handle it, but because I have other took I can use that I know can handle the work! This piece is all novelty with some light use capability.
Is there a reason the entire blade comes out? Most box knives extend halfway to expose only the sharpened portion of the blade. It would be cool if there was an option - a switch or screw that stopped it at half-extension. It is a very cool product, though. Thanks for sharing.
@halvelife I'm assuming it's for the ease of switching the blades out. But a half stop would be good too. I expect a design like that would have more strength and durability for a cut!
@@halvelife yeah! I don't think this piece, or the Exo line, is meant to be actually efficient. Hahaha. Fidgety and fun, with cutting capability. Hahaha 😆.
Same f**** problem with all of these utility knife brands. The cutting edge of the replaceable blade can and will contact the little metal edge that contains it dulling half the blade before you even flip it to use it.
They are available for preorder. Ships beginning of May. Check out these 2 sites: cranescutlery.com/product/reate-exo-u-utility-blade-purple-speedhole-handle-pre-order/ bcapone.com/search?q=Exo-u
Box cutter is pretty different from this. The extra cost is not for the blade. It's for the mechasim and engineering. It's novelty and functional. Just as any other knife that is beyond 100 dollars... you could just buy an 80 dollar piece? Haha

Turned into a rattlesnake when it hit the bench! Haha. I want one of these. Is it aluminum?
Hahaha rattle snake! Hahahaa! Yeah this guy is aluminum. A titanium one would be sick
monkey see monkey do
would love one of these but having that separate piece to hold the blade in is a big mistake imo.

Only half the blade is exposed
Right but the carriage slides all the way out. It just seems odd, like a blade on an extension.@@vucachon

That makes sense. It probably adds to the fidgetability too lol.@@vucachon

It's not dull at all. Lol. I swapped mine over and it's still razor sharp.
When is it going to be available? I keep looking it up but it says coming soon or out of stock.

What's the weight on this bad boy?
I'm not sure, I'll have to check!
Cool, but afraid of the price for a box cutter....

Yeah I guess it's like paying $700 for a Glock 22 caliber
@@BangkokMark hahahahahahahahaa you know how it is in the collector's world... Things we don't actually need. Hahaha
or you could just buy the box cutter that has been and is still used today. You can get 2 utility knives for $8
Or I could buy this one? Why spend on an 8 dollar one when I want this one?
Yeah no fun knives allowed
@@CombatBanana hahaha 😆
Overpriced toy not impressed
It's not for everyone! I enjoy it!
