I blame Jim Henson for this. He always put pressure on Kermit the most, and it took a toll on him.
Jim Henson was a god among men. Kermit's downfall was getting mixed up with Oscar and Snuffleupagus. And spending weekends with Ernie and Bert.
nobody spends weekends at Ernie's and Bert as they spend the weekend in bed.
Kermit took a lot of physical abuse in a relationship and this was a low point. Thankfully it was brief as his family and friends were always there to make him smile. I won’t hear a bad word said about Jim. If the world was full of people like Jim Henson, it wouldn’t be in the mess it’s in now.
@Gin Weston You are right bro, once Kermit caught that pig bitch getting two way'd by Oscar and Bert frog lost his grip. We tried to get him in rehab the guy was using 8 bags a day and drinking a bottle of Crown every night. Sad shit to watch.
Kermie was actually sexually molested by Bert and Ernie. This sort of thing can leave deep scars.

It might sound disingenuous when I say this but I really mean it. Incredible homage to Royal Tennenbaums and also this is a genuinely good cover. I always felt like that scene could have been so much heavier than it is. They chose to edit it in a sorta funny way but the crumpled part of my heart wishes it would carry more weight to it and leave you devastated. The editing of his favorite memories makes it so heavy but they immediately lighten the mood by cutting the song short and getting him help.
Yeah but that's whats so wonderful about Richie's life, is that he had people so close to him that were able to act so quickly and save him. Richie was very loved by his family even though he didn't feel that way most of the time and he felt deeply conflicted about his feelings for his sister, he may have kind of hated himself but the people closest to him loved him deeply.
Wes Anderson doesn't really make devastating movies. Everything he has made is filled with warmth and optimism and love.

It's funny, because the first time I listened to the real song, I though his voice sounded just a little like Kermit. It's a great song, I love Elliott, it just always came to mind the first couple times I listened to it. Especially in the beginning of the song.
