  • SI3D has been specifically designed for people with amblyopia and/or strabismus.
    SI3D's OcuView lens is designed for these exercises and general Vision Therapy. OcuView is much more effective at promoting 3D vision than full oclussion. If you do not have OcuView, use your hand or patch to cover your dominant eye.
    Sit directly in front of the laptop or PC monitor (bigger screen is best for training).
    Ensure you sit comfortably. Sit about an arms length away with your head central to the screen or monitor. Do NOT move your head unless instructed to do so - EYES ONLY.
    If you suffer with amblyopia in both eyes do exercises for left and right eye equally.
    DO NOT STARE FOR PROLONGED PERIODS AS THIS WILL STRAIN YOUR EYES! Blink often, blink often, blink often! Blinking does 3 important things:- 1/ It lubricates the eyes 2/ it minimizes strain and 3/ forces your eyes to refocus on the target.
    You must exercise between 30-60 minutes daily (15-30 morning/ 15-30 evening). It is best to train as soon as you can after waking, and just before you go to bed. If you train more, ensure you rest your eyes every 30 minutes for at least 15 minutes.
    Exercising daily must become habit. Your eyes and brain will only 'learn' if they are continually stimulated with exercise. You will get out what you put in.
    You must be under the guidance and supervision of a registered VT (Vision Therapist) before carrying out any training or oclussion.
    I am not a professional. I am simply someone who suffers with Amblyopia and Strabismus, and I developed these tools and exercises to help people like me.
    If you have any questions, please contact me or use the comments section and I will try to answer the best I can.

    For anymore wondering if you’re too old for these, you’re not. I had 3 eye surgeries by the time I was 9. But back then no one considered eye exercises as something to do. When I was almost 30, I asked about options and was told not to really worry because it would just be for looks only. I insisted that I wanted more options. She said exercises are really just beneficial for children but that there wouldn’t be harm in me doing them. I did as she said. I held a pencil at different distances until I felt some control over my other eye. When I went back, she was genuinely shocked at the improvement. I could basically look at myself in the mirror and it looked like I didn’t have a lazy eye. But if I looked in the distance, it would come back. She didn’t have any other suggestions except to “hold my eye straight as much as possible.” So I’ve lived more years with it being better, but not gone. And then I discovered these videos. I’ve done them every day. And slowly but surely. I can feel the muscles improving when I look at things far away. No you are not too old. Yes, it will get better. One day at a time.

      1 of many, I hope. Lazy eye is a brain issue that needs training daily until it becomes equal with the dominant eye. Good luck on your journey of discovering 3D vision. It is not an easy journey and demands alot of effort on our part, but will be worth it in the end.

      Hi, and thank you.
      It is ideal to use both but most people with amblyopia/ strabismus cannot use both eyes together very well. If you can, great. If you cannot, simply occlude your stronger eye to build strength and pathways to the visual cortex of the lazy eye.
      I hope this helps.

    Hi. How long take do this exercise to see result ?

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is almost impossible to say with any certainty as everyone is different: age, condition(s), prescription etc.
      What I can say with reasonable certainty is there are no quick fixes for a condition that has, on average, existed for a decade or more.
      Simply build up to 15mins (morning and evening) over a couple of weeks (to reduce eye strain) and assess any noticeable changes in the vision of your lazy eye. I noticed change after a few weeks and am still progressing, albeit slowly, almost 2 years later. It takes hard work, dedication and discipline, but is achievable for most, assuming you have received an exercise regime prescribed by a Vision Therapist.
      Not everyone can correct their squint or lazy eye, but most can if they put in the effort.
      I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Pragati, you can close your eye but it is better to keep your dominant eye open, but cover it with your hand (or finger) as it helps build 3D connections in the visual cortex.

    Hi my 5yo daughter has intermittent exotropia in one eye, will this work for her? They recommended surgery but we decided agains it for now.

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I'm happy to hear you have held off from having surgery. This form of intervention is only really beneficial for cosmetic alignment and does not address the eye/brain relationship at all. It is also not guaranteed and people often require numerous surgeries to try and correct alignment. Even if your child suffered with permanent exotropia, I would still only advise it as a very last resort.
      As for whether these exercises will benefit your 5yr old - it is a difficult question to answer, the simple reason being compliance.
      If you have been prescribed VT and are using some form of prescription occlusion, AND your child is able to sit and carry out these exercises.... then yes, they will help.
      My (unqualified) advice would be to find an occlusion method (if not already currently prescribed) and do physical exercises such as throwing and catching a ball, getting your child to touch your finger tips one by one etc. I will be doing a series designed for children but this will not be for 6months or so.
      I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask and I will do my best to answer.

    Can I do these exercises without patching my good eye?
    I saw many videos that said patching won't make your eyes to work together.
    Please reply

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes you can.
      Patching does work for building individual eye-to-brain relationships, but does not promote 3D vision.
      I will be doing a series on how to occlude the dominant eye without patching.
      It is very difficult to explain what to do in a message as it requires visuals to show the viewer what they should do and see.
      Ill attempt to explain one exercise: Place a finger roughly 2-3 inches directly in front of either the dominant eye or the amblyopic eye, whilst looking at an object or screen further away.
      If you are holding the finger in front of the dominant eye you should see what the lazy eye is seeing through the finger tip -as if it is transparent.
      If you hold it in front of the lazy eye, the object the dominant eye is looking at will have a finger tip in front layered over the top.
      I hope you understand what you should see. If not, stay tuned to the channel and an upcoming video will demonstrate what to do and what you should see. There will also be other variations of occlusion without covering the dominant eye.

    Hi i had squint surgery when i was 10 years old in my right eye .The squint came back after 45 years i am short sighted .No option of surgery at all can the eye excerise help me
    Thanks.

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, squints surgery is only beneficial if it is complimented with vision therapy. If the squint has returned (which is often the case with surgery) after many decades of normal alignment then it may be that your vision is decreasing due to age and your brain is reverting back to which eye is providing the best vision for you. A squint is not controlled solely by the eye muscles alone - the brain is responsible too. This is why you must exercise as much as you can to retain muscle memory. Otherwise the eye-brain relationship will diminish over time.

    • @seein3d456
      @seein3d456  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would advise using 'right eye' exercises if it is the right eye that is either strabismic or amblyopic.
      I designed the exercises to focus more on the left or right side respectively.
      Surgery addresses alignment or cosmetic issues but does not promote 3d vision.
      Try to exercise at least twice a day. If you keep subbed to the channel there will soon be a series of exercises that you can carry out wherever you are, without the need for a screen. The first one should be uploaded in the next 4 weeks.
