Hiii yannie. New watcher here! You are the only person that made me feel confident enough to start my loc journey. I'm only a couple weeks in but I love the low maintenance. Even with the ones that unravel here and there I get so excited about where my hair will be and how it will grow and flourish. Thank you for being you yannie
Good to see Yannie back in business and always love her guidance and enlightenment. Congrats to the young lady also for her education goals! Be safe everybody!
Her hair looks amazing! I have been using this for over 10 years. Shea moisture has nice colors, but a limited variety. So glad you are sharing the link.
Looking forward to meeting you Sister Yannie. I'm 16 weeks into my locs, so i'm "too young" for you to see me! (I know you don't see clients less than 1 year into locs) Hopefully late 2021, early 2022 should the Lord allow when you're back in New Jersey.
i looked at the link and the products. it does have less than 3% of hydrogen peroxide in it....hydrogen peroxide is LYE...the same ingredients in relaxer. FYI....it is however in small quantities.....just to be TRANSPARENT....i LOOOOVE YOU YANNIE...
"For starters the ingredients right away list Propylene Glycol as the 2nd ingredient and hydrogen peroxide developer. These ingredients alone can be irritating, but they top it off with alcohol and sulfates in the shampoo. Topped off with fragrance and alcohol in the conditioner. The listing was advertised as "no alcohol or fragrance", but it is on the label. This is no better than the $4 box at the dollar store.
Hi Yannie! 👋🏾😁 I see her hair is dark, mine is too, so for reference I wanted to ask what color is being used on her? just so I can gage how "light" I can go. I'm not looking for a super lightening color but I want to make sure I have something that shows up like hers.
What color did she use for the red? My locs are 2 toned, an brownish Auburn on top and a crimson over blonde on the bottom. I would love to replicate those colors. Also, when I checked Amazon there was also a shampoo and conditioner. Did you use those too?
It looks flat because popping colors require more unnatural ingredients. Think of paint, the more diluted to reduce ingredients, the flatter the color will look. Bright color requires heavy substances. As for the oil and no sheen, the sister said that she's allergic to coconut, shea, and olive oils so she cannot use products that have those oils as an ingredient. Herbatint would probably be similar to having a Henna rinse (natural henna does not come with oils, oils are added to create vibrance and sheen).
The client: *speaking normally*
Yannie: voice on 10. "Sorry guys, they speak soft."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
She does this every time lol

Do they have other colors herbatint. How long does it last..i think it looks flat..not really popping to dry no oil or sheen.
