Some of them feel like MP's. Especially FE Bulkhead, and Prime himself is pretty darn nice too. I would love to see a few tweaks on, say Bumblebee and Ratchet, as well as scaling them all up to MP. Except Arcee. Maybe tweak her mold to get those "wings" off her arms, but keep her small so she actually scales well with the others for once.
I really don't like the crotch plate tho, its distractingly … diaper-like, its too large, the detail is too shallow, and it looks like its been tacked on

I hope we finally get a 3rd party voyager insecticon, that was something that was definitely lacking from the original toy line. (Plus they could repaint it into hardshell)
Your right, when designing the Transformers, they took ques from both the movies and Generation 1. This is especially prominent with Megatron as his ship and robot designs specifically are inspired by the 2007 Megatron and fused with his original G1 look in order to create a design that was a hybrid of the movies and the G1 series.

I have the original Hasbro version of this and have been meaning of painting him show accurate for years now. This release looks amazing with the metallic paint. Maybe someday I'll get to painting my Prime figures.
I really wish we would have gotten an original toy for a larger TFP Megatron, instead of an upscaled deluxe with upscaled parts from an already existing upgrade kit.

This is a retool oversized version of that 2 pack that came with a deluxe optimus prime and the kids of the show and is the best mold for him because both the vehicles and robot are awesome, mi e broke from the hips so these fits perfect as the definitive meg for my transformers prime!!
Welker and Cullen reprised their roles for Prime. Also the figure is a KO with minor retooling, a metallic bpaint job, and a KO set of 3rd party accessories too. (Or the 3d printed version of the Dark Saber).

As a G1 fan, I had no interest in any of the subsequent shows like Energon which I thought were too pokemon like in terms of animation and dramatics, and poor characters. Prime however is a fantastic show that even now still looks great and is a far more mature show with really well developed characters. Megatron was the best character in it (and kudos to Frank W for bringing him to life again) and even just walking down a corridor oozed power and menace. My son loves Knock Out (side note : any good figures for him?) but it has to be the Big M for me! I think this could be my first Transformers figure since my childhood G1 collection. Don't even think I will transform him to jet mode - he just looks that good in robot form. Cheers for the review!

APC Toys has done an outstanding job of the paint work, all that silver makes Megatron look so glorious! I really don't see why Hasbro can't give this kind of quality to the fans, it's quite frustrating. Transformers Prime has my favorite voice actors reprising their roles, Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and Frank Welker as Megatron and again is my favorite Transformers cartoon. HORRIOR um, it’s not an existing deluxe with upgrades. This is the first edition mold, which was *incredibly* hard to get hold of.

We saw Megatron Fighting with Two blades in Ratchet's retrospections of war. That was just one shot but it was there.
