They will not buff Metal Claw by +2 energy generation unless they are completely okay with having another Steel Wing situation where they're going to have to nerf it after a couple of seasons lmao. They don't really give a fuck about Master League so even if Dialga/Necrozma are destroying every up there I doubt they'd care, but Empoleon would be another Feraligatr situation except MUCH harder to manage because Water/Steel is amazing defensively. GFisk could also be pretty crazy with the move even after the Rock Slide nerf because that typing could be VERY good in this upcoming meta with Fairies, Poisons, and Normal-types not named Vigoroth rising up. I know they probably don't really care much about Ultra League either but Metal Claw Cobalion would probably be absolutely absurd too given its very spammy Sacred Sword and once again being another meta where having a Steel-type fast move for all the buffed Fairy-types will be big. All that being said I think they should just say fuck it and do it given how wild this upcoming season will be anyway, but I wouldn't get your hopes up is all I'm saying.
@@Forged4War206I would argue that emp would be easier to manage than gator in this upcoming meta given how many ground-types were buffed (i.e., mudslap). I think we need that metal claw buff to balance out all the fairy buffs and skarmory nerf

Thanks for the video. I look forward to the ultra league version of this video. However, I am interested to see if gigantamax will be implemented into pvp as that could also considerably shake up the meta.
Kind of funny how clodsire is ranked #1 in GL next season on pvpoke but it's not included in the meta. Earthquake (instead of focus blast) regirock also wins zeros and ones vs clodsire and has a better win rate and average rating vs the meta.
Regirock is always extremely overrated in the sims. As a matter fact it's almost always in the Top 50 in GL and Top 20 in UL every season yet you NEVER see it... even in specialty cups where it's legal. Its moves are pretty good but mono Rock is just terrible defensively, especially when every meta seems to be filled to the brim with Fighters, Ground and Water-types. I don't really see it changing much this next season either, despite its better ranking. Ground-types are now gonna be on probably almost every team, the #1 ranked Pokemon destroys it unless Regi runs EQ (and it still barely wins), and Machamp/Pangoro are extremely strong and will probably be all over the place. On top of all that, this meta will have significantly less Flying-type Pokemon that it would otherwise be a decent answer to, and many of the Pokemon it theoretically should beat like Alolan Marowak can still deal a LOT of damage to it with coverage moves and force it to burn shields. Rock really does just suck that bad lol.

I think you never played chesnaught the last seasons. Skarmory is only on paper a bad match up for it and only if you can’t swap out. I lead with chesnaught since 3 seasons and I really loved a lead match up against a steelwing skarmory. And I always hated a leadmatch up against Azumarill. Why? 1. with 1 Superpower you get it down to 50% (2 un debuffed superpower kills skarmory), 2. skarmory always will be paired with minimum 1 mudboy, which you always can lure out and farm down with chesnaught. I only hit easy legend because of skarmory vs. Chesnaught leads.
Sorry, but I didn’t understand something. You kept mentioning water nerf. Only Surf got nerfed, but I don’t that’s meaningful to the water types in the meta. What do you mean?
What is the point of making these videos before the new season when we know actual numbers for stuff like metal claw? The rankings are gonna change a ton as they always have in the past
Use pvpivs, put your pokemon and it will give you the best ivs ranked with their stats production. You can even find strings to look for good pvp ivs pkmn in your inventory. Great league haunter rank 1 is 1/15/14, 0/15/15 would be rank 5.
It dies pretty hard to the things that beat it (fire, fighting, ground) regardless so personally I prefer the shadow for more firepower. Makes it a real threat to shields.
