- Today, FATA is the most underdeveloped, poverty stricken, and unstable area of Pakistan. Until this year, the tribal Pashtuns did not have any political influence, access to media outlets or self-determination since they were under the British-era laws. That changed when they were integrated into Pakistan in May 2018, but plenty of work still remains to be done in “the world’s most dangerous place.”

Pakistan is an embodiment of many ethnicities, not only punjab are Pakistanis. Pakistan being ruled by majority Punjab needs to understand that all the body parts of this country should be cared for and not neglected. When muslim governments neglect their own countrymen regardlessof ethnicity or religion, they are being unislamic. This also gives the polytheists the opportunity to use this and create more disunity which is pretty prevalent throughout this thread.

Khan goverment and now there will be no british law i went to fata last month dec 2018 from lahore with my cousins to visit a freind it is a safe heaven i aslo went over the torkham border pak-Afghan it's peace in fata now but pakistan government needs to pay attention to fata it is barren land undevelop people of fata demand development over there it will take some time but things r going pretty well on track and most of all let me tell you the people of fata pashtuns are very humble and generous they are very hospitable the food is very tasty in fata fresh air breeze no pollution and it is full of natural resources it will play a vital role in pakistan economy inshallah now goverment is working on it .

My forefather Jhan Muhammed Khan was a Nayeb Fouzdar of Sylhet in 1664 (according to historical record, Forman issued during Mogul period found in Sylhet Collectorate building) during the reign of Emperor Aurongozeb. There is a village Jhaner Chawk named after him, where he settled which is now named Rssoolpur and is situated near Kaligonj bazaar of Zokigonj upazila by the side of river Surma. I had been to the village in 2016. A branch of the family still living there. Others have migrated to Cachar district of India in places like Horinagar, Koroikandi, Sonabali Ghat, Tuker Par, Jalalpur (named after one of his grandson Jalal Muhammed Khan), USA Australia, UK. Some of the family members have migrated to Noagong district of Assam. My grandfather went to Horinogor in Cachar district of Assam when his village Oligorh ( named after Jhan Muhammad's another grandson Olil Muhammed Khan) was devoured by river Kushiara which has given rise to a new village named Nayagram on the Indian side of the border. I do not know of other family members from Oligorh, may be they settled somewhere else in the Zokigonj upazila. Oligorh is not in existence now and not in the present map, may be in old maps and records.
Sylhet was the last area of Bengal captured by the Moguls after defeating independent chieftain of the area Osman Khan by Shujat Khan of Mogul army when Islam Khan was subedar of Delhi in Dhaka. After consolidation of Sylhet under Mogul rule, lands were granted to soldiers and other nobalties in the area including mostly Pathans from Uttar Prodesh and Bihar and also Pathans and Persians from other areas. These people brought people from different parts of India, cleared jungles and settled the area. Being a long descendant of Pastun, I duly support the legitimate rights of Pastun people to live in peace and harmony with others.

1... He said Finally pashtun got their rights and submerged in to pakistan which is wrong ... Pashtuns are living in the KPK province which is already part OF Pakistan since independence So not all pashtuns are living in FATA .
2.. FATA as the name suggests it means Federal Administered Tribal Areas ...They were not the part of Official govt because the customs and geography and mentality of these people is totally different ,..they prefer their independence and that's why British could not rule over them because they love their culture , tradition and could not bear others interference ..Thats why after fighting with them alot finally British come to the negotiation instead force and made some adjustment with pashtun tribes .. and the Same reason pakistan also did not interfere with their internal customs like Jirga System etc and let them live according to their Culture and tradition because they dont like other tradition to take over their culture ....

I'm born in England but in my village in punjab Pakistan there are a few pashtun family's and they are very hard working people who are respected at least in villages I don't know about cities as I don't live in them and i have seen some own catering shops some build houses etc they have fitted in well into communities
