WELL SAID SISTER, ABOUT THE ECOWAS CITIZENS, SOME NIGERIANS THINK YOU CAN JUST COME TO GHANA AND START WORKING AND DOING BUSINESS BECAUSE YOU HAVE ECOWAS PASSPORT. WHEN THE AUTHORITIES GO AFTER THEM, SOME PEOPLE THINK IS AGAINST THE ECOWAS PROTOCOL, SAYING THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO THAT BECAUSE THEY ARE ECOWAS CITIZENS. PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THEY HAVE ONLY 3 MONTHS TO STAY IN THE COUNTRY. WELL DONE.
RIGHT NOW YOU NEED GHANA CARD FOR EVERYTHING.

I obtained my Ghana ID last year (April 2023) because I needed it to register a SIM card. Like you said, it cost 120 USD for foreign nationals. I had to go to the National Identification Authority headquarters at Nelson Mandela Avenue. I then tried to open an ECO bank account which I need to pay bills relating to a construction site I am having, but I was told I needed a permit. I am not permanently resident in Ghana; I come and go. Do you think I will be able to obtain a permit as a temporary visitor and if so, will this be at a CALBANK branch as well or some other place? Thanks.

Hi, I was given 60 days at the border and infact didn't know I was supposed to have a residence permit. Is it too late to do that and what are the consequences please thank you.. I came to Ghana July 2023.

I did non citizen ghana card on 09/10/23 , now l have to do the resident permit and l don't know how l can go to the process. Hello, you don’t need to do resident permit if you’re married to a Ghanaian but when feeling documents, it’s best to use his name else you’ll pay higher as non-indigene

Requirements: be a foreign national who is permanently resident in Ghana, or has been resident for at least 90 days in any calendar year
Be six years of age or older
Appear in person at a registration center
Provide the following documents:
A passport
A valid birth certificate or certificate of acquired citizenship
A digital address of your permanent residence in Ghana
A completed application
The application fee
Personal information, including name, date and place of birth, residential address, and digital address code
Information about your parents
Biometrics
Parental, spousal, and next of kin information
Primary verification documents, such as a valid password

So as an American do I need to get a Ghana card to purchase land there?
Hi, not necessarily for a land but to get a SIM card, residence or work permit, license, business registration etc, you’ll need to have a Ghana card which is renewed yearly.

Hi, Ghana card is $120 for Non-Ghanaian for the first time while renewal is $60 while permit is 300gh. Don’t know if they’ve increased any. For who to help you, just visit Call bank Head office for the Ghana card. It’s same for the permit too; go to their head office. They’re not far from each other.
