I stayed there for 1month volunteering and travelling to different parts of the country such as Kumasi, Accra, Bolgatanga, Northern region and Cape Coast which is one of my favourite places ever! When I went, Ghana wasn’t as trendy as it is now but I’m so happy the country is receiving the recognition it deserves. Loved it. I just want to make sure your viewers know I was there for 11 days never spent more than $100 / night. Nothing as fancy as what is seen in this video but would have expected to spend $500 / night in Cali and maybe $250-$300 in AZ. Also, got some amazing custom cloths made for me for about $40.00 / outfit. Not a slam of the designers shouted out in the video just want to let you know that if you can't roll like that you can still have an amazing time in Ghana.

OMGODdess!! your testimony is what I needed to hear it was highly useful for my decision making process. I live in the USA and I would love to plan a trip to Africa, and Ghana is at the top of my list, From the youtube videos I don't think I wish to return to the USA.
Thank you for saying that!! I like to know about the high end, but I also like to know about the more accessible end as well. Your input was very helpful.
When I'm tired of hearing gunshots in the US, Ghana is my hiding spot. Love the country, people, food, and the peacefulness of the country. Love Ghana!!!
@princeasante1 When has there been a shortage of killings in the US? Where you live used to matter when you're inside your house until the killings of Atatiana Jefferson and Botham Jean changed that. Everyone is vulnerable when they step outside of the house in the US. Too many crazy people with guns in the country and can be shot at the mall, your home, at work, at the club, etc. My lil brother's friend who used to live next door to us was killed by a cop. Right before I was done with my MBA program years ago, went to a club with my friend and a guy was jumped by a group of guys. When the guy got up, he went outside and came back with a guy shooting. Ghana has a lot of challenges but at least you're guaranteed the right to live and not be killed by someone who just feels like it.
@princeasante1 bot just black american . I dont its black american doing all the killings.thats was a stereotypical thing to say. America is just a dangerous place in my opinion. I was there twice and i was ingected with fear most americans have. I was panicking all the time which i dont do much in ghana.ghana may have it safety but definatly safe compared to the states. I actually feel safe when am in slum/ Ghetto of ghana than being in a regular place in the states.
Mauritius and Ghana are the safest countries in Africa (some developed western countries have higher crime), great to see an African country progressing so well, look forward to visiting some day!

I can not thank you enough for this video. I am writing this comment from an AirBnB in the Spintex region of Accra. I’ll be in Ghana for 3 weeks. This video is a large part of the reason I chose Ghana for my first visit to Africa and it’s been a constant reference for me during my stay. The vibe here and the people are amazing. As a black man from the U.S. the level of belonging and peace I feel here is indescribable and I have made more contacts my first few days here than I have made in the last few months back home. Thank you for introducing me to this incredible country!

This isn't the real deal to a native Ghanaian though.
@@damanibaraka7896 same as in california or New york
I didn't get to roll as high as it looks like you did - but I just came back from my first trip to Accra it won't be my last (trying to figure out if I'm going to move out there - seriously).
Carl Parrish I stayed at a guest house for 100ghs a night. King size bed, fridge, hot water, clean and friendly people. It all depends on what you’re looking for.
Hello, I am planning to go to "Ghana in December of 2020, can you refer me to a reputable tour company that I can contact with an email address and website. Please email me at toadf733@gmail.com. Thank you
OMGODdess!! your testimony is what I needed to hear it was highly useful for my decision making process.
Thank you because I was just like, well is this affordable for an average person or is this for a rich type lifestyle. Appreciate it brother.
At the airport now transiting through Brussels to Accra. Okro Stew here I come!! 🇬🇭💪🏾😎
Akwaaba to Ghana oo
@princeasante1 there gunshots everywhere, even if you don't hear them.
multyz1 Well said
@princeasante1 bot just black american .

Doesn't Mauritius still have slavery going on? Many people are also in Gambia expats from the USA people are enjoying it.
Rwanda, Uganda, Botswana, Tanzania, Seychelles, Gambia, Senegal, Namibia and Zambia are all very safe African nations.

I would like to add that if you have a Jamaican passport or a passport from Barbados you can travel to Ghana VISA FREE and stay for 60 days at a time.
Ok...Are the Ghanaians friendly towards returning residents or Americans ? You can stay anywhere for two wks & feel or live like a king or queen but how is it for longer lengths of stay...2yrs /3yrs etc post covid19. DNA ...Started.. For myself i will be taking my DNA back to the Mother Land in 2020.(Love me some African people) even though i've never been there i have always felt like i was born in Africa, because I've NEVER!!!
