I saw a truck a lot like this on marketplace the other day. It was a 1978 F250 and it was a crew cab and had the front mounted spare. That is going to be a sweet build I bet
Yeah, it's a pretty sick truck. Still unsure of what direction I'm going with the build. My green 78 bronco is now in the shop and over the course of the rebuild on that Ill have some time to decide what I would like to do with the crewcab.
I picked up my 75 f250 4x4 crew for $1300. And I have a 68 mercury crew cab. I’d say $3000 is a decent price for the shape it’s in, my 75 crews short bed was rotted out completely.
Dude, I want a Mercury truck so bad. A 1967 M100 short bed is a dream truck for me. I'll probably end up making a clone but Would be badass to own a real one.
I like the truck man and can’t stop looking at the bronco, it looks really good, man your gonna need a bigger shop if you keep bringing these good deals home
Thank you so much, man. Just diving in is key and getting out there and doing stuff. I'm not too big to say that things are not intimidating but I have no problem sucking it up and diving in. I appreciate your support.
I have thought about that as well. Eventually I'm going to sell this truck and use the funds for the next build. a blank canvas does let the next buyer go in any direction that they would like. This weighs heavy on my mind. still unsure at this point. I do have some other of my builds I am doing fun stuff with.
just found your channel yesterday. dont know where you are at with this crew cab. if it was mine it would be cummins 4x4. but if you are gonna street it, i like your idea of lowering it with 20's cummins double compound turbo's would be sweet. great content.
Man that’s sick! I love crew cabs. I’d like to find a crew cab OBS because that’s what I play with. Funny enough the bronco window switch is the factory position for the fuel tank switch on a pickup in the OBS generation too. I guess when you’ve got something that works why change it? It looks like you’ve got a pretty solid rebuilder there 👍
That is one awesome truck. I realy love that front grill style. I wander why was the spare wheel mounted on the front instead of in the bed for example...
It does have a mount under the bed as well for a tire, but the owner was in his 80s. I'm guessing he swapped it at some point so that it would be easier to swap the tire if he ever had to.
Yeah its amazing color. I can't wait to see how it comes out after wash and wax. Oh also letting you know I 100% recorded this video with my phone and on the DJI mobile 3. I shot it in 4k at 30fps and then did the final render in 23.976fps with no color grading. Turned out pretty good I feel.
@@PaperBeatsRock Dang! Yah it looks great! I havent used mine all that much but I've only been doing dirty engine work and I'm too afraid to mess it up so the cheapie tripod has been my bff. I think the DJI will be amazing for the trip and non greasy filming ;)
@@broncobabeadventures4316 Oh yeah. I fully understand. you definitely don't want to wait for the trip to start using it though. Even if you don't use the footage just getting in good practice with your gear is key. From time to time pull it out and just shoot some B roll of the bronco or your surroundings and throw that in your videos. I need to start doing more as well. it helps break up the video and gives you away to add some extra time if you need it.
I was thinking the same but when I got under there to look there is no hardware from an old tank or rub spots where it would have been installed. Also with the truck already having 2 tanks (one behind the rear bench & the front of the bed), I have never heard of a 3 tank setup. Also because of the paint, it has led me to believe this is the bed is off a different truck F100 or F150 that had the dual tanks in the bed. More than likely they just threw a plug in the spot and then bondo up the line poorly.

Right on Bryce. I saw that it was back up for sale. I hope you got a decent deal on it. If you have any questions I can let you know everything I found out about it.
Hey buddy you said that you got the esab rebel?? I’ve also been looking at getting another welder my self!! I’ve been looking at the esab rebel with the AC DC tig, mig, & stix & also been looking at the Miller matic 220i witch is also a AC DC tig, mig, & stix welder!! I’m not sure exactly witch one to go with?? Right now I have just a mig Lincoln 216 witch is a 250A output & me I really don’t like it!! My buddy has I think the 255 Lincoln welder witch is a 300A output welder & that one you can use a.045 gauge wire with & mine does not like the .045 wire but is ok with the.035 what are your thoughts on witch one to get & what do you think of the rebel that you have gotten?? All the help would definitely be much appreciated!!!! Thanks again buddy & I definitely love watching your videos!!
Yeah I bought the esab rebel 215ic. Its a beast. I'm just getting back into welding and have not done it since high school. The thing is retard proof. The digital displace is really nice and clean. Scrolling through the menus is crisp and feels very intuitive. I first started with mig and it just asked me what kinda material I'm working on and how thick and away I went. If you someone that really knows what your doing you can dive even deeper into the menu and fine-tune stuff but for me right now I need to just focus on the basics and I'm glad that it makes it easy for me to get into it. Ill do a video on it once I use it a bit more and get a better feel for it. Also for the lincoln and millers I'm not sure I have looked at them but just went off the recommendation of my friend who runs a napa store.
@@PaperBeatsRock thanks for all the info on that rebel!! Do you no what the out put Amps are on the machine?? 250A 300A ?? I’m definitely looking forward to a in-depth video on it & letting people no like what is a good thickness for the rebel to weld!! How many Out put amps it is & so on!! I’m definitely looking forward to that video!!
Bahaha There is one out there with your name on it Dave. But yes with it being 2wd I am thinking of doing it lowered. Most of the 2wd ones are swapped to 4wd so this will be pretty cool I think.
@@PaperBeatsRock i like a 2wd, but my preference is the stock height on a 2wd and small lift on a 4wd. Never been a fan of lowered anything. It's not my truck so thats irrelevant. Im sure it will be cool. Can't wait for the work to start on it. There's always the bronco work for the 4wd itch lol. Good luck.
@@jeepindave5464 I recently saw a lowered extended cab on the Facebook group and I really liked the look of it. It did have airbags and I don't think I would go that low but a few inches and some nice wheels and tires to fill out the wheel wells.
That it does. The weather here has been really cruddy so been waiting for a few nice warm days to get after it. even bought a new electric pressure washer to test out on it.
You have us all PUMPED!! Rather watch your content than major sports.🤗🤓
Thank you so much man. I'll keep cranking it out. I enjoy making the videos and working on the trucks.
Really enjoy all the 70s ford contact. Very nice old crew cab 😁
Thank you so much, Josh. I'm a huge fan of this era of trucks.
Nice to see a 2 wheel drive getting some attention. I have a 81 F250 and you doing this crew cab is giving me a lot of ideas. Keep the videos coming.

What a great find can’t what to see more on the truck keep doing what you love don’t lose sight

Lol absolutely. Just did a bit of thinning of the heard. Sold my mustang and selling g my Subaru. Just need to focus on my current projects
Don’t be so worried man 😉 I rebuilt a severely rotten f150 in my driveway by myself, and it’s now my summer toy. you’re a smart guy, you got this 👍

76-77 dual grille are my favorite looking trucks one day I’ll get me one and do a diesel swap with a 5 or 6 speed
They are super badass trucks. There is still a lot of good ones out there to be found.
Keep living your dreams 💪
Hell yes, I'm living the dream.
look forward to the build. its your build, but i wouldnt go bigger then 17s, try to keep the classic feel to an old truck (thats just me)
As for price, hard to say. im in Canada and ppl what 3k for stuff that is 60% or less of the truck left.

Put set super duty axles under it. And cat motor in it or dt466
shoulder straps came in 77. wonder if someone changed some parts around. lap belts look factree
I'm going to have to check that out. I'll check out the manufacturer date and see if its really a 77 made in late 76, but the title says its a 76.

Omg 3000.00! What a steal!

I'm assuming the rear tank most likely rusted out and was removed. Thats how I got mine

Im guessing it got jacked up at some point and they just got whatever was cheap and fit.
