Fabulous Scott. You will be appreciated forever and this particular song will never be sung better. You are still greatly loved and appreciated. April, 2023.
I was at work the day Scott passed away and had been talking to a lady who knew him as a friend. She said he was a lovely man . He is one true singer .
John and Scott have both gone. The hard part of getting older is losing people you love but may never have met. Bowie, Lenny Cohen, and Scott, I loved all of their contribution to the world's rich culture.
The (sensational) bass player on 'No Regrets' was Daryl Runswick, born 12 October 1946, a classically trained English composer, arranger, jazz musician, producer and educationalist.
The first time I heard the walkers Brothers was when I was about 8 years old, maybe younger. My older sister bought the "The ship is coming in".Brilliant.Then others come.Always sad to hear thee old crowd pass
Not an actual ‘Walker Brothers’ composition - if that’s what you thought and meant. Written by Tom Rush; first released in ‘68 . But this arrangement is the ‘one’.
Scott your voice is so beautiful romantic soulful and tender You are now in your heavenly reward as you left so much behind with your beautiful songs What a beautiful gift you had to share with all your fans I know you are happy and out of Pain. I think of my only one true love Brian when i listen to your beautiful heart felt and very romantic songs R I P Sheila Gates
Drop Dead Gorgeous Is Right!... lol His voice is out of this world. I just wish he could have kept making records that are mainstream. His work has been quite different, and not really for most of us, although there is an listening audience for avant-garde and really dark music I guess. John was handsome too, and could play a guitar, expertly.
Yes I agree that I also wish Scott had sang mainstream and kept up the big ballads which his voice was made for. I dont understand his more recent work at all and it seems such a waste of his beautiful voice. He appears to have lost his drop dead gorgeous looks too but I will never forget how wonderful he looked and sounded in the 60s & 70s. John was a very talented guitarist and had a good voice too but everyone was 2nd best alongside Scott!
I remember t’he first time i met John i was 11 years old & he had the same denim jacket on as It was just after t’he night flights album . I’m 52 now but i remember when we where all young & John & I would sit on a Saturday afternoon being taught by John to play the skinny string boogie & being told to stretch those fingers & practice on the john just like brian !!!! 😂😂😂 miss john & family but still speak with Tiny ‘ Al Scnieder ‘ t’he original drummer to t’he Walker bros who is a wonderful person & great musician . Havent Seen each other since t’he mid eighties but he is just as fantastic now as he was then & keep an ear out for the band tiny plays for ‘ the Chris Fast band ‘ wonderful band & What real talent IS all about . Love you AL , Dave , keep going MY old Friend
Totally, agreed my friend! I bought this song in the 70's because it was one of my favorite songs then. Still listen to it reularly, and everytime I'm amazed by its beauty!
I’m Australian too. Their song Sun ain’t gonna shine anymore was played heaps here. I want to go back too. The music. My Generation. I miss those times too. We had it all ❤️ I couldn’t believe when I first saw Scott. Swoon, but he lost his looks too quickly and John was shining❤️ loved Garry too.
Is this a cool friggin song or what?....They had their own sound and nobody will capture their magic.....How I miss that sound and time...78 now and still consider them the best......
Not just beautiful, but hilarious! John is trying his hardest to make Scott laugh and very nearly succeeds. Apparently after a liquid lunch, miss you Scott, rest in peace. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ì was lucky to see both the Walker Brothers at a the atre in Westover ŕoad and Scott Waĺker with 10 CÇ at the PAVILION, in Bournemouth, in the 1970s or 1980s.
Jaguar XKR-S I think Scott found the lyrics too simple and repetitive, that’s why he’s laughing. I think I read he wasn’t keen on putting this one out.
After watching this again, I noticed that Scott was playing the steel, wow! It seems he was not only a gifted singer but was a talented musician. I would have like to have seen play the steel guitar some more.
Well I feel I have to review my comment as today’s generation might misinterpret my previous comment Scott Walker had a fantastic voice and this song was one of many that he sang R I P
It’s the studio recording being played on every ‘clip’ … They are miming to it - just in case you had not noticed , which you hadn’t. S o m e h o w ?.. ‘ MaxPower ‘ … on a slow spin .
Nice song! People ask me if I go kareokeing, but I say "no,,thats why I play the music so loud, to drown out my voice!" Love to sing along though, If I had to I'd try "Ebb Tide" or maybe "She's a Lady". I met my wife cause I was singing "Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat!"
As I knew Scott personally, he certainly wasn't laughing about his own hair, as he already did everything to cover up he was going bald already way back 1975!
It's a wonderful tune. Tom Rush is the writer, The walker brothers made it famous and put Tom's kids through collage with the royalties. Midge Ure did a very nice cover in the Walker Brothers style (more royalties) and Emmylou Harris also. U2 are doing something with it too. Tom's version is very country obviously. The walkers to me capture it. Cheers
If John taught The Beach Boys ,,Carl Wilson to play guitar,,why did he not play on this record and hire Alan Taylor. Maybe getting confused with The Rhinestone Coyboy,,,,methinks
How many times must I have listened to this over the last almost fifty years…..and I will never get tired of it.

A great song and a great performance. And what a guitar solo - why doesn't this get more recognition?!!!!
Beautiful voice. They harmonised really good. RIP SCOTT & JOHN. Gone but not forgotten
Great to see deserved reference to John's superb understated harmonies.
@briangannaway2876 John' was very underrated and talented. He was supposed to have been the lead singer, until their management heard Scott's voice
NO REGRETS listening to this song by the Walker bros . One of the best songs iv ever heard 🇬🇧👍

Has there ever been a more beautiful voice than Scotts? Not to mention his drop dead gorgeous looks, pure heaven to listen & watch

Just a brilliant song, the way it is written, wonderful.
It was written by TOM RUSH. you have to watch TOM RUSH. Sing it live just him and a guitar it's fantastic 👍👍👍

and Scott Waĺker with 10 CÇ at the PAVILION, in Bournemouth, in the 1970s or 1980s.
1976 THEM WERE THE DAYS THAT LONG HOT DRY SUMMER
Whichever version you listen to of this superb song, it's lyrics sound and music is totally awesome, it really is a truly timeless pop classic
Jaguar XKR-S I think Scott found the lyrics too simple and repetitive, that’s why he’s laughing. I think I read he wasn’t keen on putting this one out.
Never thought I'd hear Scott cover a Tom Rush song. But then, he could sing the phone book and do it justice.
Oh my goodness!!! Never seen this before!!! Wow!
What a fantastic performance - really enjoying themselves - BRILLIANT
Nobody sings like this anymore
After watching this again, I noticed that Scott was playing the steel, wow! It seems he was not only a gifted singer but was a talented musician. I would have like to have seen play the steel guitar some more.

So sad Scott has died loved this song
Scott's lived here in England UK since the 60's apparently ! Never did like stardom. Try albums Scott 1,2,3 and 4. 4 my favourite.
haven't seen this in such good quality film
Listen to the perfect Guitar Solo. It's precision playing and note hitting every appearance. Not one note is different. Sounds amazing.
It’s the studio recording being played on every ‘clip’ … They are miming to it - just in case you had not noticed , which you hadn’t. S o m e h o w ?..
‘ MaxPower ‘ … on a slow spin .

Gilbert O'Sullivan on drums for some reason. He must have caught the wrong plane. These things happen, Gilly!
Gordon M. Not funny..Gary Leeds on drums there
Scott can't keep from laughing.
The denim, The year, The Twin Guitar assault.... could this be Status Quo?
They're trying not to laugh at Gary's hair
That comment makes me giggle so much
As I knew Scott personally, he certainly wasn't laughing about his own hair, as he already did everything to cover up he was going bald already way back 1975!
🥰🥰🥰
If only we had an insight into what they were laughing about here
think they both were a little pissed x
Has anyone else covered this song?
It's a wonderful tune. Tom Rush is the writer, The walker brothers made it famous and put Tom's kids through collage with the royalties. Midge Ure did a very nice cover in the Walker Brothers style (more royalties) and Emmylou Harris also. U2 are doing something with it too. Tom's version is very country obviously. If John taught The Beach Boys ,,Carl Wilson to play guitar,,why did he not play on this record and hire Alan Taylor.
Maybe getting confused with The Rhinestone Coyboy,,,,methinks
Great song, poor video: why do those brothers laugh all the time, while the lyrics say everything but laughing?
