Jax almost looks like he is back to himself. Yay! A day at a time with him. Jax's face is looking so much better!
Gosh, Eric, you look so much happier now that Jax is doing better!! It's such great news that his meds are working effectively...just love seeing him on his new leash walking with you outside!! Things are looking up now that you're leaving Illinois!! Safe travels!!!

Eric, I love Christmas too & I was thrilled when I lived 9 miles outside of Solvang, CA for a few years!! It's a magical Danish town in the mountains about 30-45 minutes from Santa Barbara, CA, with lots of Christmas stores!! I felt as though I was in heaven to be able to go into town every day because my daughter attended school in Solvang!! I hope you, Jax & Tara will have an opportunity to visit there someday!! It's a destination not to be missed!! Enjoy the run up to the holidays, Eric!! Love your Christmas tree & blue lights...the best color of all!! So happy to see Jax feeling better! We live in Indiana and when I was a child (I’m 52 now) Holiday World was called Santa Claus Land. So many good memories and it will always be Santa Claus Land to me.

My husband and I are from Evansville, and we took a trip mid December of 2014 for some Christmas fun, and he proposed to me there! Also, this is really cool, Fozzy(Chris Jericho's band) filmed their latest music video on the Voyage rollercoaster at Holiday World. Aww, the kitties are so cute!
The $138 price per night is incorrect. The price per night at the Santa Claus Rudolph camp ground is $51 per night with a two night minimum. That price is the same no matter if you book during the week or on a weekend. Please be careful when making statements, as misinformation can really hurt small businesses and towns. As you mentioned, Santa Claus is a small town and they generate revenue from tourism. Things will be a bit higher in price, just like Disney and other tourist destinations, but make sure you quote the accurate numbers.

Ladies are NEVER rotund! Zaftig, perhaps , or pleasingly plump, but rotund is what they called Vice-President John Adams, when he suggested the President be called "His Excellency", they started calling Adams "His Rotundity".

No hating from here. I have friends, who started out as landlords, became friends and I was also their house/critter sitter, that leave Christmas up year round. It makes them happy and that's all that matters. The leg lamp and Christmas tree together add to the whole Christmas story vibe. FUN!
Just love the intro featuring Jax the King looking & doing so much better. A relief that he's getting back to his normal self. Interesting - Santa Claus attraction in IN. And it's fine to have a lighted Christmas Tree every day of the year. Also a good idea - having a home base in or close to a Christmas Village attraction - that's the spirit of fun! thumbs up from our kitty kids!

The owner at Santa’s Candy Castle is AWESOME!!! I did this trip the last 4 year’s. I filmed a video with him, and he took the time out and went through his whole place with me and the film/file was lost 😡. Now that I am a FA ✈️ my girl’s pick to go warm places, but we enjoyed the last several weekend trips that we would do in early December to Santa Claus, Indians. This place is truly magical!!! This was the year that we did not go and seeing this video...I miss it.
Christmas is my favorite holiday too. I went to Holiday World once yet didn't get to see any of the other Santa Claus, IN stuff. Thank you so much for sharing. One of these days I really hope to go back to Santa Claus, IN AND Holiday World. We (the fans) so glad Jax is doing much better.
Eric, I’ve lived within 20 minutes of Santa Claus, Indiana my whole life. Holiday World used to be called Santa Claus Land before. As impressive as it is that millions of people visit every year it wasn’t our small time amusement park later on. Way too many people visit it now. If you want to ride anything without long lines and waiting you have to go late in the year before the season finishes and the tourists leave.

The whole month of December isn’t enough time to enjoy Christmas or a tree and as many ornaments as you have. Be happy and do what you do. We love it or we wouldn’t watch you.
It makes me happy that Jax is doing better. I live in North Pole, Alaska, and it's all Santa Claus themed as well, with candy cane street lights and a Santa Claus house. We have parades for Santa. Christmas year round!

I remember Tenino! There were only one or two families there. I was told the town got it's name because it was a whistle-stop for a train or a route or something numbered 1090.

Angela, I don’t know if that is true but it could be! The town is still small and we don’t have any traffic lights! I only lived here for about two years now and love it very much! People here are friendly and we have a farmers market during the summer to sell our crops! Sure beats city life! All the best to you and your family, John
Eric, am so glad that Jax is doing much better now. It goes to show that prayers do work. My prayers were answered. Love Jaxxy man and I couldn't stand to lose him now. I lost both my little buddies this year. One said "good-bye" to me in Feb this year due to terrible diabetes, and the other was getting super thin and sick. I put him down a little earlier than expected due to surgery to be performed on my rt foot. Toffee and Quasy were there names and they both left me with heavy paw prints on my heart, forever. I plan on getting another furry pal after I get off these crutches. An older cat this time and not a kitten, like my two buddies were when I got them. Take great care, Eric.

Lincoln state park is a good place to camp. It is about 3 miles from Santa Claus. I went to the high school there in Lincoln City. Actually, we came up from FL this week and are at Scales lake campground in Warrick co. Came in to go to the Westside Nut Club Fall Festival in Evansville, IN.
I'm right there with you as far as Christmas the whole corner of my living room, ready to start decorating, so happy for u that Jax is feeling better!!
So wonderful to see Jax on the mend!!!!!!!!!! I do not remember if you have ever been to Frankenmuth Michigan, but if you have not, look up Bronner's Christmas Wonderland! It has to be the biggest Christmas store ANYWHERE! And stop at either of the two main restaurants in town for a family style unlimited chicken dinner. Just south of Saginaw.

Ive been hearing that Disneyworld will stop some of their shuttle/bus service at the end of the year. That maybe these buses will be auctioned off. The ultimate Disney collectable, then made into a RV! Just a thought.
That would be epic.
Problem is they're not owned by Disney I believe Mears owns the buses
According to wikipedia, there is about 45 gillig low floors. these are 40 foot long 11'3 high. That will need to be replaced no matter who owns them. These are usually transit buses. These would be ok to restore and convert.

I grew up going to santa claus land as a kid in the 80's. Still go to Holiday World every year. It's a shame you didn't visit the park. Its really a great little park with some good coasters. Free soft drinks and parking too. I'm happy Jax is starting to look better.

Santa Claus, Indiana is an interesting area and Holiday World has two of the best ‘water coasters’ in the country! They use magnetic tech like the Superman rides in other parks, to accelerate your raft up the flume track - amazing rides!
