Had to control the laughter listening with headphones in my open plan office. Thanks for the noise floor samples, they'll be a huge help when I go for budget approval for the NTG3.
I came here for the information but I watched 4 times for the comedy. Definitely going to sign up for his course in the future. Very good stuff. Can’t stop laughing at 2:37
The obvious mic choice for this situation is a hypercardiod. Other manufacturers make hypercardiods. They are just excluded from this test for some strange reason.
You know, throughout the whole video nobody talked about the Rode VideoMic Not there Go, Pro or Plus version, but the original VideoMic which looks like a much fatter and longer Rode VideoMic Pro which can be seen in some shots thought the video, such as 3:12 mounted on the boom pole in the right most part and in 15:02 on the camera which is on a slider. Notice how thick it is, especially the Rycote Lyre suspension. I'm saying this because that's what I have, and I Love it!! I got it on AliExpress for about less than $80 and with the SRP being much over a hundred something. And it has Rode's 10 year warranty, so yayyy! It sounds pretty Good I'd say. Way better than the VideoMic Go and you can say that it's even Better than the VideoMic Pro due to is less compact design and longer microphone capsule. So I was wondering how it would compare. Yes there is relatively a lot of work to be done in post with it, but there's mainly tweaking and not crazy EQ or like the other things which was shown in this video for the other on camera Rode mics. Soo yeahhh! : D
Awesome review. Seriously. I had fun learning. I've never felt this way before. Dont know what to do now. Im shocked. All my belief system is collapsed.
Another great video. Well done. Apparently, you used the OrCart to carry the Zoom F8n/F-Control and these accessories. Is it really robust and practical? Thank you.
Thanks! Yeah I use it to carry the Zoom or the SD 688 depending on what I'm doing. It's super robust. I've had the cart for over a year and just barely broke one of the screws on the handle strap but it looks like it should be an easy fix. It's been through all kinds of abuse and really has held up
Great video, thank you! You should put the mics used in the title/description to get more views. I searched a lot regarding mic comparison videos and found this great video only trough Parker.
I've tested various options (MKH 416, ME66, NTG3 and the CS-1e) myself and I'm a great fan of Sanken! Listening this on my phone right now. But I'll be checking it in the studio later, wonder if it'll again be the Sanken for me. Anyways: awesome video once more! P.s. Your voice sounds like Jordan Peterson hehehe
the rode video mic was the same sound quality as the above 1000 buck mics. The only thing was some interference that was probably because of some mistake of the sound guy...am I the only one that noticed this?
The room is echoey. So how about a hypercardioid like the AT4053? How would that work vs the NTG5?
dude I LOVE your humor. Glad to say I bought your course and it's super helpful!
I'm glad you're part of it!
I like this. Editing is on point. Thank You for this valuable information.
I just love the ME2 Senhizer.

Wow your video was way funnier than Parkers. I love it!

Haha glad you liked it!
I highly appreciate the E mention. And the great concept!
Thanks! Glad you dig the jokes
@@ThatAudioGuy Yes sir, adds a bit of spice to us non-normies.

Incredibly valuable stuff here
Use a 32bit float audio recorder - no clipping and use analog limiters ;)

Most entertaining audio tutorial I have aver watched. Please make more of these! 😂
I'm glad you like it!
Thank you for going super deep! Appreciated - Michael
Incredible how well the humble MKH 416 does compared to the mighty Shoeps CMIT-5U...
Love them both!
Not only helpful (THANX) but also really funny 😁 👍🏻.
Your videos phuck! definitely subscribing also I need that mic you’re wearing where’s that affiliate link my guy
It's probably a lavalier mic strapped/taped on the built-in retractable microphone of the headset he's wearing
All those mics bunched together you would think had to have a reflective effect on the output of each one.
18:30 But the EW112 doesn't have an off button!!

I'm glad you found it! I was debating of putting mics or brand names and went with the brand names because I ran out of characters for the title

Hi Brenden, Why did you set the Transmitter and Receiver to 0db and -30db? I would think you will end up capturing very soft audio?
Like I said I've done it for years and never had an issue
I think you mentioned it later on too. That you rather record (too) soft instead of having to deal with clipping.
😂😂🤣🤣 love the videos . But you a funny guy at the same time lol
dude, you're hilarious! and talented ^_^
Thanks for the Video and the great jokes :D What´s the name of the C-Stand and the Boompole? Thank you :)
Thanks! It's just an Impact turtle base c-stand and the holder is this kit.co/ThatAudioGuy/brenden-s-pro-audio-field-kit/954822-atian-metal-boom-pol
Thank you, very helpful :) That Audio Guy

dude do you have a course teaching audio from production to post? i'd buy it!
First link in the description!
Do you use 0 and -30db with all lav mics and wireless packs? Eg. Sennheiser G4 and Sanken COS-11d?
Great question. I use that with the included mic (ME2). For others I adjust accordingly
what boom pole is that?

You misspelled "Sennheiser" at 11:41. There should be 2 N's in the graphic.
You're right
No One will notice... except me. :-)
imaginetMedia does that even matter?
"Test, test, test" 5:10 (cringe when people do this). Great video.
LOLLLLLLLL AT 2:37 xD
2:37 lmao

DAP is a great mic to rec voice, as good as 416
