Aww Shelly, I'm so glad you shared this with us!!!! It was so lovely to see your work and hear the joy in your voice talking about all of the things you learned and how much you enjoyed the process of creating these studies. Hearing how giddy you sounded at the end and you expressing how happy it made you to create the studies really put a smile on my face and lifted my mood so much. I am an artist myself and work digitally using an ipad, so I get special joy from people talk about their art and actually just recently watched Pewdiepie latest video of his own one year journey of drawing every day. I watched your study of Luffy when you uploaded that and was so happy to sese you creating art. I really oved this video, as well as your Luffy fanart!! I hope from time to time you continue to share from more of your journey creating art or even just art you like🤍🤍
The way you reviewed picture books in your previous videos had already convinced me that you can draw so good 😊❤️ I love your new project, you are so creative!
Shelly, I am sooo excited over this video! When I was young I loved to do this very thing, and have revisited it in these later years. I’m 60. How fun to see this new edition to your channel!
I love to draw and play with technique but I don’t show anyone 😂 My daughters are way more gifted at it than I. I just do it for me. We don’t currently have a table so I haven’t anywhere to spread out my supplies and delve into my creativity in that way. Same goes for sewing. Currently I’m crocheting and knitting a lot - making Christmas gifts 🎁 Your illustrations were lovely, thank you for sharing them with me 🤗♥️
Love this!! Sometimes I have dreams of doing things like art and especially illustration but forget that I can literally just do it anytime I want. I think I can’t see the journey for the dream sometimes 😂 thanks for the inspiration!
Very inspirational video! And your point that you notice so much more as you are looking at the illustration with different intent is very eye opening to me. I definitely want to try this hobby!! Thank you :)
Oh Shelly, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful artwork. What a joy to see the pleasure it brings you. Might we see a book with your name on it one day?
I absolutely loved this video and I can’t believe how similar this is to what I have been doing recently. I wanted to do a version of Inktober. Because I wasn’t drawn to the prompts or the bit of controversy with Inktober, I found a drawing challenge called CutegirlOctober which had a bit of an anime feel to it. It had 31 drawing prompts. I collect dolls and antique and modern children’s picture books. I sort of combined the challenge with my loves. Therefore, most days of October I used ink or marker to draw a face or scene. Some of these were from the vintage children’s books and oh how I loved doing this. I learned so much and I loved the dolls and picture books even more. I will have to share more with you and trade titles sometime. Keep it up. ❤
I'm working on reading a Shakespeare play every weekend and I'm finding so many excellent quotes (of course, because Shakespeare) that I've started transcribing into a a quotes journal. Every time I work on the quotes journal, I think of Jenny. Besides that, I do counted cross stitch. Which I really enjoy doing.
I hope a children's book with your name on the cover pops up in a bookstore one day.
Awe! That's kind of you to write.

Great job. This is exactly how to spend time. Inspiration, found objects, creative exuberance.....thanks.
That's what it's all about.

Tedwell is the best! 😎
This is so cute and fun! I don’t have an artistic bone in my body so this is so inspiring and sweet. Love this for you 🙌🏼🥰

It's amazing how much you can learn when you look at something for a very, very long time.
