I just feel so bad for Danny. It's alright Max was better but I don't like the way it was done. They should have atleast waited till mid season or even the whole year then they could have said he was underperforming. People can say what they want but I think it had a deep affect on his career and he wasn't the same after that until his career rejuvenated in 2019

Looking back on this, I never did think Kvyat was not good enough for Red Bull, but they clearly just wanted to get Max in. If it really was to protect Daniil, it should have been a one race thing, but that didn't happen. Kvyat was broken the entire year, but so far in 2017 he has been doing far better.

look at 2014 daniel kvyat got only 8 point in toro rosso while max got 49 with poor renault engine power , kvyat is a great driver but every one wants stronger drivers in their cars not only redbull but every other team kvyat will do his best as max good luck both of them
The 2014 toro rosso was a lot less competitive than the 2015 and 2016 car so it's a bit harsh on Kvyat in my opinion

Really nice to see some same day coverage of the press conferences; hopefully this becomes a regular feature. On the Dani and Max side, it is a demotion of sorts; but the STR11 has genuine pace. I don't think it's that bad of a change. Also, the move is strategic for Red Bull, as it shores up Max from leaving the team. Method to the madness if you will.
