👏👏👏👏I’m gonna get me some of those. Last year I bought a set of Warrior step bits to save me some time & $’s they wouldn’t go through 1/4” angle iron, dulled it, got out the next size, even using cutting oil it still dulled. So I went back to using multiple drill bits to get the size of hole I needed. Keep’m coming
I can confirm these bits are the stuff I bought a single 1/4in - 3/4in bit for 25 dollars and for a step bit that goes as large as the one I picked up it was a steal. I managed to drill through some 1/4in angle iron like it was butter and drilled 8 holes like it was nothing now granted I had to go from both sides but just make sure to use some sort of cutting oil and I bet the bits will last a long time.
Been using Hercules bits for a while. They work great. For a lot less price. Plus, if you watch for the coupons, you can get these for as much as 30% off their already very low price.
The Hercules step bits are on par with Dewalts( Really good step bits). The Dewalts are hard to come by because they're almost always sold out in my town.
would you say that buying these at HF is a good TIp? I see that you posted this video on a Tuesday. This is a video, a video about Tools. I feel like there is a potential marketing idea here, alliteration is always fun!
@VCGConstruction oh I know, they tried that with 2 other channels I follow "everything money" and "reviewtechusa". It got so bad that reviewtech made a video explaining that if he doesn't make a video about him giving away a prize, it's not him
Probably should have mentioned once you chuck a ¼" hex bit into a drill, it then should generally stay out of an impact. One can easily muck the shank up in the jaws, then becomes a pain in the impact collet. I can't imagine the money wasted over the years had I bought "name brand" step bits 😂
@@A6LegitIt was probably more of concern with cheaper made bits / non impact. And if the drill never binds up the bit should be fine, but I have several that are knarled up from the jaws of a drill.
I miss the old hf. They're tools now are close to the same price as the big box stores. When i need a power tool that i will only use once a year, i used to be able to spend 20 bucks instead of 200. Stuff like those bits are a good deal but that list is shrinking.
I definitely buy stuff that I least use I save a few bucks I'm still getting the job done there are some stuff if you use everyday I would go with the name brands
YO!!!!! ATTENTION........You did a review of the ORIGINAL makita magnetic bit holder (NOT THERE NEW ONE THATS JUST O.K) BUT THE ORIGINAL ONE that's hard to find..... I did purchase one and it was definitely the best I've ever used UNTIL...... Milwaukee just released theres..... it is rubber very Magnetic and it will fit on any shaft of any bit holder because it has a small round whole at both ends to take shape of the bit driver. IT IS THE NEW KING!!!!!
Why pay more, but I do have to off- gas for few hours after being in the store. I am always suspicious that anything made in China, regardless of the name , is made in the same factories.
damnit OhiO... you know damn well you should be shootin a little oil on them step bits when cuttin the metal. dont make me REVOKE your Great Lakes Midwest Rust Belt Card.
*_I make a video about Step bits and now you make a video about step bits! UNREAL!_*
Gotta be honest, didn't even know you were still on TH-cam considering you blocked everyone from your channel last week 🤷
Leave it to TRZ... always stealing VCG's video content ideas
Tool review zone has no shame…. He’d steal a nickel from a Nun!
Ooh juicy
You can buy a lot of things with a nickel

On metal I would use some cutting oil.
I picked the 3 piece set earlier this year at the great harbor freight. Love these videos
Always appreciate the feedback brother man John
I have been stocking up on their icon stuff. I’m not a mechanic by trade but mess around with my cars. Icon stuff seem to do the work just fine
Just used some of these over the weekend drilled 25+ holes into some steel pipe. Worked great! Thanks for the video.
I used them to drill 1” holes through I beams in my shop to run electrical wiring. Don’t panic, I did insert rubber grommets before running wire.
1:06 Why I shop at HF more often
Wish they sold just the big one, I’d give it a shot. I’ve already got the other sizes and don’t use them a lot but need the bigger size.
Todd showed that the zip ties are very good. I also started getting stepped drill bits and hercules bits.
The Hercules step bits are on par with Dewalts( Really good step bits). The Dewalts are hard to come by because they're almost always sold out in my town.
Holey cow. Those are great. Definitely stepping up their bit game
Hahaha, possibly the best one yer Dan The Man 😆😆👊

@VCGConstruction I only know 2 scammers...Evil Twin and that Vance guy from Philly
Harbor freight’s been stepping up the game.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
HF is my ‘’go to place’’ for tools !
Great video! Definitely going to HF for step bits! I look at those at Lowe’s or HD and say Nah. These prices are much easier to bear!
Are they better than the Warrior bits, because those are one use, in my opinion?
I now know what else I'm going to buy the next time I go to Harbor freight
HF has some good stuff, great review.
That's real Nass like 👍

Thanks for sharing this video...
I will analyze!!!

Hmmmm, never really thought of that. I may have to test it out 👊
I've never heard of drill jaws messing up bits

There building a 3rd store within 30 mins of me I’m happy 😂👌🏽

Thx,
Har-buer Freight is my go-to for some types of accessories.
Now, if only I could catch a sale on them, hmmm ?
😮😅😂

Super handy...for real.
You left out the fact that in thin materials the hole is clean not rough edged like with a regular bit.

Is plasteek the same as plastik or even plastic? JK, loving your vids.

Love your videos but the pronunciation shtick is getting a bit old. Perhaps you could talk normal?
Then you don't love the videos then 🤔
